I am totally and completely BLOWN AWAY by The Retrieval Duet series!! How can you go wrong with a series that hasTWO incredibly sexy and alpha male heroes, and two kickass heroines??!! I fell so completely head over heels in love with Roman during the first book that I didn’t think my heart could be stolen by another–BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! If you haven’t read RETRIEVAL yet, then this is where I will tell you to skip the rest of my review because I will be revealing something that you don’t find out till the very end of that one. For those of you who have read Retrieval, get ready to fall in love with a new Hero!! Heath Light is equally as alpha and swoon-worthy as Roman, if not more!!!

 

The story picks up where the previous book left off. Heath and Roman were able to rescue Clare and Tessa from Walt. Unfortunately, Walt has escaped and has gone into hiding. While at the hospital, Clare learns who Luke/Heath really is and at first has feelings of resentment but she’ll soon come to see that this man was her savior and possibly even her soul mate. Since Walt is still on the loose, Clare and Tessa end up staying at Roman and Lissy’s home, where they have a top of the line security system and a ton of body guards to guarantee their safety. Everything is rapidly changing in Clare’s life and nothing is certain anymore. She struggles with her fears of the unknown and of whether or not Lissy will try to claim Tessa since she is her biological mother. Heath is always there by her side to provide her the calm and stability she so desperately needs. Little Tessa has also formed an intense bond with Heath and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to keep those two safe and happy.

Heath’s boss tries to kick him off the Walter Noir case due to his connection to Clare, but there isn’t anything or anyone that is going to keep him from protecting the woman and child that he has grown to love. So he promises that he will keep it professional with Clare. That will prove to be quite impossible for Heath when Clare turns to him for more than just comfort and let’s just say I felt my own temperature rising when Heath lets Clare take what she REALLY wants from him!!

During their time together the two couples will form strong friendships and Tessa finds herself surrounded by a new blended family to shower her with an abundance of love. She doesn’t have time for relationships & Chandler only does one night stands, so they are the perfect match for a night of no strings pleasure.

The two end up having a steamy encounter later that evening and what should have been a one-night stand soon turns into a bit of an obsession for Chandler. Days have gone by and he just can’t get the woman out of his mind. As luck would have it, she ends up being the daughter of a potential business partner and the two cross paths at the offices of Pierce Industries.

These two play a game of cat and mouse for a while. Chandler is completely thrown by Genevieve’s lack of enthusiasm with regards to their night together. He also starts having very naughty fantasies about her that he’s never had before. It seems as though Chandler has a possible BDSM fetish that only Genevieve awakens in him.

The two dabble a bit with spankings and role playing which although kind of hot also seemed a little awkward at times. It was odd that Chandler never had the desire to spank or tie a woman up until he met Genevieve and somehow he just had a sixth sense that she was into that sort of kink.

They start to develop real feelings for each other but when Hudson and Laynie fill Chandler’s head with some suspicions they have of Genevieve, will doubt tear the couple apart?

Fans of K. Webster and Ker Dukey, get ready to have your mind blown by this utterly sinister, gritty, and hauntingly fabulous story!! I was already a huge fan of K. Webster, but now I have another author to add to my favorites list — Ker Dukey. These two authors are a stellar writing duo!! I went through a gamut of emotions while reading this nail-biting thriller! A word of advice—read this book with the lights on!! I was so freaked out that I had to sleep with a night light on in my bedroom because I was afraid of the monsters who hide in the darkness. If you’re not a fan of gore and rape, especially of underage girls, then this one probably is not for you. BUT, if you crave the dark and downright uncomfortable reads, then Pretty Stolen Dolls is one you’ll want to bump up your TBRs!!

The sparks are flying and I guarantee that panties are going to be melting when we get to the steamy scenes between our Heroine and her new man. I was then asking myself – ”Benny, who?!!”.

During the latter part of the story, the action and suspense kick into overdrive. For years there has been no trace of Benny and Macy, but recently strange clues are presenting themselves to Jade and young women are ending up dead. Things are starting to reel out of control for Jade and she’s unable to control the crippling flashbacks from her time in captivity. Will she be able to save her sister, destroy Benny, and put an end to the nightmare she’s been living or has the nightmare only just begun??!!!!

This book ends on an enormous cliffy and I won’t be able to rest until I can get my hands on Pretty Lost Dolls!!!!

They have to decide if they are ready to be parents & if they have a future together?

I adored sweet John Tucker! This guy was so swoon worthy!!! He has a heart of gold and such a tenderness & is so solid & grounded, & every time he called her Darlin I melted a little more. I highly recommend this one. Such a fabulous book! Please please please give me a Fitzy book next!!! ;))

What we didn’t know, was that this hottie had magical and talented fingers, and a very dirty mouth, traits that a girl named Sabrina brings out in him.

Sabrina James wants to be a lawyer; her life goal has always been to attend Harvard Law School, graduate with honors, and find an amazing job that will take her out of the horrible house she grew up in. Sabrina works two jobs and studies her heart out in order to achieve her dream. She only has two close friends, never had time for more, or for romantic relationships. She only does one night stands with college athletes, no repeats, no phone numbers. All that until she meets the sexy bearded hockey player with the dirty mouth.

Tucker is a gentleman and after spending the most amazing night of his life with Sabrina, he is willing to play by her rules, and give her all the space and time she needs, even though he is ready to mark her as his after only one look.

Sabrina likes Tucker a lot, more than any other guy she’s ever met, but she barely has time to eat, let alone to be obsessing over a guy, even if said guy is the most perfect one ever. Tucker and Sabrina find a rhythm that works for both, but just when they thought they had the whole game planned, the rules change and their lives take on a completely different direction, making both their worlds spin.

Can they adapt to a new game, will they be able to score and win, or will everything they always dreamed of simply go down in flames?

This book grabbed my attention completely from the very beginning. I read the whole thing in one day. I barely did anything else other than read it, I was that into it. I loved how sexy and sensitive Tucker was. He was the perfect compliment to Sabrina’s independent and hard headed character. They made a really awesome couple.

It’s so amazing to experience all these characters again, but each book turns out to be truly unique. I simply can’t get enough. The Off-Campus series is always a winner for me. I will completely, 100 percent recommend this entire series to everyone.

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have yet again created a mesmerizing story that captivated this reader and also left me a bit sleep-deprived. Ward and Keeland are the PERFECT writing collaboration. It is impossible for these two to write anything that is less than a five star read for me!! Ladies, you are going to fall head over heels in love with Captain Carter Clynes!!!

 

 

Kendall Sparks is a young woman at a crossroads in her life. Sitting in an airport lounge, Kendall is trying to pick a destination to escape to in order to avoid making a life altering decision that is being forced upon her by her family. She runs into one seriously gorgeous and cocky man and the two engage in some flirtatious and hilarious banter. Carter comes off as quite the ladies man and Kendall’s defenses are up but after their encounter she finds herself buying a ticket to Rio, which is where Carter suggests she go to since that was his destination. Later she’ll find out that Carter is the pilot of that flight and soon these two will embark on a whirlwind adventure filled with a lot of laughs, soul searching, some tears, and some delectable steam!!!

 

 

As the two spend more time together they get to know the real person behind the façade that they’ve put up for almost everyone else. There’s more to Carter than just being the ultimate player and Kendall isn’t the spoiled socialite that everyone presumes her to be.

 

 

As the layers are peeled away, I dare you not to fall head over heels in love with Carter. It was simply IMPOSSIBLE for me not to go all swoony for him. I loved that the authors didn’t make him out to be the stereotypical Ladies’ Man.  My heart ached for him once the angst got underway and I even stayed up well beyond my bedtime to get to the very last page!!

 

 

PLAYBOY PILOT had an enjoyable plot, plenty of steam, a top of the charts book boyfriend, and enough angst to satisfy all of my requirements to categorize this as a truly STELLAR read!!

These two characters were flawed and yet so perfect together. Such a fun and colorful romance that had so many different layers and flavors to it. Every chapter was an adventure and by the time I was finished reading, I was eager to jump back on that plane again. These are characters you will miss after you are done reading.

They have found the rhythm for the perfect song, the song that you’ll always sing and dance to when feeling happy, the song you always keep on replay, the song that makes your heart smile. Just reading that one of so many quotes I loved in this book, gave me the chills. THE SILENT WATERS is nothing short of a MASTERPIECE. If you’ve ever read anything by Brittainy C Cherry, then you are already aware of the amazing gift this woman has for storytelling. It was apparent from the very beginning of this book that it had the makings to be one of the ”Best of 2016”!!! The author is going to make you experience a gamut of emotions during this journey with Maggie May and Brooks. Having read several of Brittainy’s books in the past, my heart was prepared for an emotional rollercoaster ride and I was more than ready to take the plunge!

Maggie May and Brooks Tyler have been childhood friends ever since she moved to Wisconsin with her father who had recently married a woman with two kids of her own. The cute letters back and forth between young Maggie and Brooks had me laughing so hard that my tummy ached. Oh but the laughter soon will die along with the adorable and exuberant voice of little Maggie May. Fast forward a few years, a ten-year-old Maggie has plans to wed her one and only true love, Brooks, out in the woods on the outskirts of their neighborhood. It is in these woods that Maggie goes through a traumatic experience that leaves a devastating psychological effect on her. Maggie has lost her ability to speak. But even through her darkest of times, there is a bright shining light that brings joy to her life in the form of a beautiful boy—Brooks!

Brooks’ and Maggie May’s friendship was very much the pinnacle of the story for me. Even though Maggie has lost her ability to express herself vocally, the two communicate as if they were two halves of a whole. Their love of music and reading deepens the bond between them and during some particularly trying times it also soothes them. I fell so hard for Brooks. It is virtually impossible not to. His love for Maggie May knows no bounds, and really how could you not love a guy who would read his girl’s favorite books and then mail them to her with tons of post-it notes with his thoughts included??!! Seriously swoon-worthy to the millionth degree!!

There are several amazing secondary characters, one who deserves special mention is Mrs. Boone. The feisty old lady and Maggie have a truly special friendship. I got a kick out of her snarky attitude. What I love about this story is that it made me realize that I am too quick to judge people for their faults. There were a couple of characters that I immediately despised and I was not even willing to question what might be causing them to act out the way that they were. As the story develops we learn what drove those characters’ actions and it enabled me to forgive them.

This story is hard at times to endure and it had me bawling my eyes out one minute and then screaming in frustration the next. My advice to those of you who have not read this yet is to have a friend buddy read it with you. You are going to need someone to talk you down from throwing your kindle or iPAD across the room!! That is another thing that makes this story so fantastic – it really turned me into an emotional wreck. I felt so passionate about these characters and the heartbreak that transpires almost annihilated me!!

Do yourselves a favor and don’t wait even a minute to one-click and start reading this beautiful story! Whether or not you are a Brittainy C Cherry fan, I honestly don’t think you will be disappointed with this book!! For me, THE SILENT WATERS is going to be categorized as THE BEST BOOK OF ALL TIME!! It is one I will surely be re-reading over and over again for many years to come.

Make sure you read the author’s note at the end. If you didn’t love her before, that note will definitely turn you into an instant fangirl. I have even more respect for this amazing woman.

I really thought I was done reading Stepbrother themed novels, but that was until I read Wrong’s blurb. Something about this book called to me, and boy, was I glad I listened to my gut and read it.

Wrong was as sexy as I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much heart this book had. It did have a lot of thrilling sexy times, but the relationship between Sasha and Liam was so much more than just passionate chemistry. The book is very well written and it delivers a good ‘Ol time. I loved it!

Liam is Sasha’s stepbrother but also her savior. Ever since their parents got married, Liam and Sasha had a special bond. Liam is a total Alpha Male, and he is always ready to fight whoever wants to even think about hurting Sasha. Even though he has a tough exterior he has a soft spot for her, and it just made me swoon for him, to see how there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do to make her smile.

Sasha has had romantic feelings for Liam for a long time, but she’s always been worried about what her family and other people would think if they knew about her real feelings for her step-brother. She has a complicated relationship with her mother and Sasha is always wanting her approval. So Sasha is terrified that her relationship with Liam will further disappoint her mother.

Liam and Sasha’s relationship is raw and explosive. The sex; hot to the max, they need to be together and touching one another constantly, which makes it difficult to hide from everyone else. Will they be able to be together no matter the consequences, or will they simply give up on love and just remain being step-siblings forever?

I dare you to give this book a try, you will be pleasantly surprised by how exciting and entertaining it is. I’m ready to read more books by this author.

Fans of dark reads will surely enjoy DARKEST BEFORE DAWN. I found Stevie J Cole’s writing in this one at times to be beautifully poetic. This story is quite gritty and often very hard to endure but ultimately it is about love, and how it defines us. Our need to be loved can sometimes drive us to do things we would never have imagined doing.

We are thrust right into a very intense and traumatizing moment for the Hero during the prologue. This event leaves a lasting impact on Max Carter’s life and ends up sending him down a very dark path. Years after the horrific night he lost both of his parents, Max is in the process of getting his life back on track. He’s no longer using drugs and has left his life of crime. Max goes to pay a visit to his little sister, Lila, and soon finds out that she has been missing for almost a week. When he goes to the police station to file a missing person report, he is told that his sister is a known drug addict and prostitute and that her case would be put at the bottom of the department’s list of priorities. Enraged by the lack of concern by law enforcement, Max decides to take matters into his own hands. He soon finds out that his sister was abducted and ultimately sold within the sex slave ring. Max comes face to face with his sister’s captor and now here’s where the story takes a bizarre turn, he has to then become the monster in order to find his sister.

Ava also sees that there’s something deep in Max that she connects to and there’s also no denying that they both feel a strong physical attraction between them. As the two become more tightly bound to one another, Max realizes that there’s no way he can let anything happen to Ava but he still has the matter of finding his sister to deal with.

Things get seriously twisted and extremely bloody during the latter half of the story. Max and Ava will both go through more devastating turmoil. Will they be able to find an HEA when there is so much stacked up against them?

This was my first book by Bella Jewel and I honestly enjoyed it more than words could ever convey. I was intrigued by the synopsis and had always meant to read something by this author since she has such a huge following. Normally, I am not a fan of the mafia based romances. I’ve tried a couple in the past and they just didn’t appeal to me. So I had a little bit of trepidation going into this one. Luckily this book ended up being a HUGE winner for me. Don’t let the cheesy cover fool you ladies, this was a FABULOUS story!! I will warn those who have a hard limit with cheating, to steer clear of this book, since this deals with a Mob Boss and his Mistress. Cheating in books is not a big deal for me and the way things are explained in the story further helped me to overlook that aspect.

Julietta is a young Nurse who happens to love her life. She’s happy with her job and has good friends. She dates on occasion and has no interest in being tied down to one man. That is all about to change when she ends up meeting a very handsome alpha male at a trendy Chicago nightclub. I was a bit shocked at how easily she went against her morals even though Rafael explains that his marriage was arranged and is one of convenience with zero passion involved and that his wife Maria is aware of all his trysts and really has no issue with them. They end up having this extremely passionate and steamy affair. The only stipulations are that Julietta can’t tell a soul who she is dating, she’s not allowed to go near his family, and most important of all, she is not to fall in love with Rafael.

Even though this man is an adulterer, I couldn’t help but fall for Rafael. I hoped along with Julietta that he would fall madly in love with her and break all his rules. When these two are together you can expect to feel the heat from the burning passion that ignites!! At first, Julietta truly believes that she can handle being the woman on the side but as time passes her feelings for Rafael develop into something deeper and she finds herself struggling with the fact that she will be treated like all the mistresses before her and that her time with Rafael has a fast-approaching expiration date. The situation starts to get intense as there is an unknown adversary who is trying to take down Rafael and somehow Julietta gets thrown in the middle of all the mob action. By the time we get to the end of the story we are dealt with one hell of a cliffhanger. Fortunately, the author leaves us with a note at the end explaining that book two has already been written and is just in the process of being edited. She assures us that we won’t have to wait long!!

AMORE is currently available! Bella Jewel fans will definitely be pleased with this one, and maybe those of you who haven’t read anything by her will find that you have a new author to add to your favorites list.

I have been waiting for Bridger’s story since I first started this series. He was the main one I wanted. He’s damaged but such a beautiful person with such a huge heart. Anytime anyone needed help he was there. I’m so glad I finally got his story, & that he found someone who could open his heart & help heal all his broken pieces. Loved this book so much!
