Elle’s job requires her to work closely with the security firm down the hall, Hunt Investigations. The head of security is the intelligent, intimidating, bossy, controlling alpha owner Archer Hunt. He was antagonistic & always clashing with Elle. He drove her crazy, but she also had a major crush on him.

Elle had a history with Archer, which was something she tried her best not to ever think about. Years ago he was there for her when she found herself in a bad situation. Ever since that night, he has been someone that’s always been there for her. She knows she can count on him for anything & he’s the one person who will come through for her, but deep down she’s always wanted more.

Archer cares deeply for Elle. He wants to protect her & feels it’s his job to keep her safe. After such a rough start in life, he only wants the best for her. He watches her date other men until he just can’t take it anymore. He decides to prove to her their meant to be. He wants her to be his & goes after her hard. They both are in serious lust over each other & the sexual tension is out of control until it finally explodes & they act on their feelings.

This book was fun, flirty, hot as hell & everything I love about a Jill Shalvis story. Archer was a tough, delicious alpha male with a huge heart & an even sexier body. I love it when a big yummy badass guy falls hard for a woman. This is one of my favorite books by this author! I hope we get a book for the nerdy genius Spence next. I’m dying for some Spence!!! ;))

While Paige plans everyone else’s happily-ever-afters, she doesn’t really believe in monogamy for herself. She’s a pessimist when it comes to love, romance, and marriage. She didn’t have the best role models with her parents growing up, so she just didn’t have faith in lasting relationships & finding something real.

Paige attends a family function in Las Vegas & runs into her frenemy, Richard Dawson. Paige & Richard’s parents are friends & Richard’s family lived next door to Paige growing up. They were the best of friends since they were little & then things changed in college and they grew apart. Now they can’t be in a room together without always fighting for dominance and trying to one-up each other.

Richard is a total manwhore who drives Paige crazy & pushes all her buttons, but he’s also drop dead gorgeous. When circumstances put Paige in close quarters with Richard, she has trouble not seriously lusting after him, & wondering if there could be more between them than pent up sexual frustration. Could the boy she once loved still be inside this beautiful arrogant man she finds herself desperately wanting to touch.

I loved everything about this book! Pure Brooke Blaine gold! I was hooked on this couple and their chemistry & sparring in the last book. In this one, Paige shows a more vulnerable side & we learn about their past together. We also find out how crazy Richard has always been about Paige. This book was funny, sexy, & this man was sinfully delicious! Loved this book start to finish! Just fabulous!!!

TEXT 2 LOVERS is the debut novel for the writing duo of K. Webster & J.D. Hollyfield and all I can say is that I hope this is the first of many to come. I love K. Webster’s writing and I’ve always said she never ceases to impress me with her talent to write really terrific stories across many different tropes and romantic genres. I was only a little worried because I’m not all too familiar with J.D. Hollyfield’s writing style, and to top it off I wasn’t a big fan of the book cover. These two author’s writing styles complimented each other completely. I fell madly in love with this wildly sexy and hysterically funny rom/com.

Dani aka ”Buttercup” and Ramsay aka ”Ram” meet through a series of scathing texts that Dani meant to send to her cheating ex-boyfriend but ended up sending to Ram when she entered the wrong number into her cell phone. Ram, who has a phenomenal sense of humor, ends up being intrigued by the woman who sent him the belligerent texts and soon ends up flirting with her. Once Dani learns she mistakenly sent the texts to the wrong person, she is immediately remorseful and mortified but eventually the two strike up a friendship that soon turns into a hell of a steamy connection. Their sexting gets off the charts HAWT and within a matter of days they end up meeting face to face because somehow the universe keeps throwing these two in each other’s path. Luckily for the both of them, they’re extremely attracted to each other physically and intellectually.

When they first began texting both Dani and Ram ha told a few lies about themselves to each other. Dani’s lies were little ones while Ram’s might have been a bit bigger and he wasn’t exactly offering up the truth right away. I really didn’t think they were a big deal. I understood his logic and how he was just ashamed to admit some truths to Dani. Ram is unemployed and living with his older brother but he’s working on starting his own internet branding company. He had told Dani he worked in the marketing department within a huge corporation. He was unjustly terminated from his previous job for something highly embarrassing that he was framed for by his evil ex-girlfriend. These lies come back to bite Ram later on in the story.

Dani and Ram are perfect together and have out of this world sexual chemistry, they give us the panty melting steam. Ram’s older brother Roman, and Dani’s Bff Andie are the characters who give us the wildly hysterical moments throughout the story. I laughed so hard so many times that my belly was aching!!

Angst ensues when Ram gets caught up in lies more than once with Dani. Lies are one thing that she can’t deal with because of her previous relationship.

I connected to this story almost immediately and practically devoured it. I loved the main characters and the amazing secondary characters as well. My heart ached for Ram when he winds up drowning in despair. I never thought less of him for his few lapses into depression. Having gone through some rough patches myself, I understood the sadness that overwhelmed him at times. When someone you love so desperately, leaves you, it’s not so easy to go about life when you feel like your heart has been ripped from your chest.

Although there is some angst and some sadness, for the most part, the story is beyond funny! I HIGHLY recommend this one! You’ll want to read it to prepare yourselves for the next book about the secondary characters, titled HATE 2 LOVERS!!

You can tell that authors K. Webster and J.D Hollyfield had a lot of fun writing this book because it translated flawlessly into the story. A hilarious plot and colorful characters made this book one hell of a great time, I loved it!

Her latest boyfriend is no different; Dani just caught him with another woman and instead of confronting him, she just goes to a bar to forget about her sorrows with her best friend and a bottle of tequila. Once she’s ingested a fair amount of liquid courage Dani decides to text her jerk ex and give him a real piece of her mind. After a slew of texts later, she realizes she’s been texting the wrong person…

Ram is stuck in his life, things are just not going his way, and to make matters worse he is lacking creativity he desperately needs to finish his latest marketing project. Until… A random string of offensive texts starts pinging on his phone. Not only are these texts helping him spark the much-needed creativity, but are also making him very curious to know the person who’s behind them.

Dani and Ram continue to text even after they clear the misunderstanding, they simply hit it off, and those texts quickly become their favorite part of the day. Fate will make sure these two meet, and when they do everything will become a beautiful disaster that we won’t be able to get enough of.

This was one of those books that once you start, you can’t stop. You will want to read it, devour it all because it’s that much of a good time. You’ll want to read it again, and buy it for other people as well. These two authors make a great team together and I cannot wait for the next book.

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO is one of the best ”enemies-to-lovers” story I have read in quite some time. This was such a fun and addictive read. I found it almost impossible to put down. I loved the heroine’s sassy attitude and R.S. Grey has created one fine specimen of a book boyfriend. The story is jam packed with a ton of hilarious moments and white hot electric sexual chemistry between the two main characters.

Daisy Bell and Lucas Thatcher have been neighbors and natural born enemies since birth. They feed off of their relentless competitiveness against each other. Practically the entire town knows about the strong animosity they have between them. But there are also quite a few people who think that there are underlying feelings of love beneath the never-ending battle of wills. To the intuitive reader, it is also quite easy to see that Daisy and Lucas are perfect for each other and all the petty arguments and silly competitions were just their versions of foreplay.

Daisy and Lucas find themselves back home after having finished medical school and their residencies. To their surprise and dismay, they’ve both been offered jobs at the same local family practice. Both had thought they were solely brought on to eventually take over the practice and weren’t counting on having to share that role with anyone else. They each seem to be plotting out ways to outshine each other in hopes of becoming the winning candidate.

What Daisy doesn’t realize is that Lucas has never really been her enemy and maybe deep down she’s always known that he has held a very special place in her heart. Daisy does spend an awfully enormous amount of time being utterly clueless but the heated banter between her and Lucas made this story highly entertaining. The sexual tension and the slow build to the surrender to their incredible passion had me nearly combusting from the anticipation!

Will Daisy get a clue and finally see that Lucas has always been her soul mate, or will a hasty and misguided decision destroy their chance for a “happily ever after”?

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO is currently available for 99 cents!! R.S. Grey fans and those who enjoy a good “love/hate” dynamic between the main characters, will definitely want to pick this one up!

They’ve despised each other & competed for as long as she can remember. She grew up living next door to Lucas her entire life & hoped to avoid him for a lifetime. She hadn’t seen him in about eleven years, but surely they can put aside their childish animosity & be professional. Daisy moved back thinking this practice was as good as hers. She doesn’t want to share it, & needs to figure a way to run Lucas out of town.

Cross My Heart is one of those books that was made to conquer your heart, and you won’t even have a choice in the matter. By the time you are done reading it, your heart will feel happy and your soul will sing and dance to the tunes of David Bowie. I simply CAN’T GET ENOUGH of the Cross brothers.

Iris works as a dishwasher at The Grub Hut, which is Lee Cross’s restaurant. She works hard to try to save enough money for a deposit to get her own apartment, and finally be able to stop living on the streets. Iris carries a lot of sadness, her mum died of a drug overdose when she was young, and Iris was forced into the foster care system until she reached eighteen, and ever since then she’s has had no place to live. Her best and only friend died in a gang related accident leaving Iris all alone in this world. But don’t think of Iris as a victim, she’s not! This girl is a fighter and a hard worker who doesn’t take crap from nobody.

Iris keeps to herself, she doesn’t socialize with anybody at work; her only friends are a stray cat that keeps following her everywhere, and the imaginary friend in the form of the spirit of David Bowie.

Liam Cross changed his life around completely, he went from being a car thief to a police officer. Liam has been watching Iris closely, ever since she started working at his brother’ restaurant. He feels a pull towards her, Iris, the girl with deep sadness in her eyes and colorful skin.

At first, Liam offers Iris a friendship but he is very attracted to her and it won’t be long before these two surrender to the explosive attraction that takes over all their thoughts during the day and all their dreams at night.

I loved this book, just like any other book that I’ve ever read by this author. She has a magic pen that creates amazing characters that will stay in our hearts forever. Cross My Heart being a novella, it felt like eating a small piece of your favorite chocolate, and I WANTED MORE!!!!!
In other words, I wanted this book to go on forever. What I’ll do is, I’ll re-read every single book in this series again, and hopefully that will quench my thirst for the Cross brothers.

If you haven’t tried this series, please do, it’s a TOTAL WINNER OF THE HEART.

I have only read a few LH Cosway books but I am definitely a HUGE fan of hers! My goal this year is to try to ease up on my ARC requests and make some time to read all of this author’s previous books!! CROSS MY HEART was simply FABULOUS!! My only complaint was that it was written as a novella instead of a full-length standalone. I loved the Hero and Heroine. It would have been awesome if we got to spend more time with them but that being said, the story was still highly entertaining!!

Iris is a twenty-year-old young woman who has had a rough start in life. Her drug addict mom died when she was fourteen which resulted in Iris ending up in foster care. As soon as she turned eighteen she was no longer a ward of the state and she was left to fend for herself. Currently, she works as a dishwasher for Lee Cross at his restaurant, and she’s trying to save up enough money for a down payment on an apartment. The poor girl is homeless and only has some clothes and an old sleeping bag as her worldly possessions. She sleeps in an abandoned building and lives off of bread and peanut butter. Her only two friends are a little stray cat that sleeps with her at night and her imaginary friend who is the deceased David Bowie. I loved Iris completely!! Her imaginary conversations with Bowie were one of my favorite aspects of this story! Iris’ determination to not let her hardships destroy her also made me admire her immensely.

Liam Cross is Lee’s younger brother who, in his youth, was a car thief, but now he’s turned his life around and he became a police officer. Since the day Iris started working in his brother’s restaurant, he has been intrigued by the beautiful girl with the sad eyes. Something about her has him feeling a fierce need to protect her. Iris has caught him staring at her on many occasions and on one hand, it freaks her out but also at the same time it excites her because she thinks Liam is just about the most beautiful man she’s ever seen.

After Iris ends up nearly freezing to death one night when she loses her makeshift living quarters in an abandoned building, Lee offers her a room to rent in his house. His brother Stu has moved out and he offers his old room to Iris for a very minimal fee. Things heat up pretty quickly between Iris and Liam once they start living underneath the same roof. Although there is definitely the “insta-love” factor going on here, I still enjoyed this novella so much!! I hope that maybe LH might write another installment for this lovable couple.

I never read HIM and US because I do not read MM, but GOOD BOY is a spin-off of that series and I am happy to report that it is strictly MF. WESMIE are very much present in this story as secondary characters and I really liked them but the Hero and Heroine are Blake and Jess. Blake Riley is a highly successful NHL player for Toronto and Wes’ teammate. Jess Canning is Jamie’s older sister. The two met in the previous series and had one wild night of sex that neither can forget but Jess is very serious about changing her career path which involves enrolling in Nursing school, and that doesn’t allow her to have time for any romantic entanglements. Blake is completely infatuated with Jess and relentlessly pursues her.

I was having a little trouble getting into the story for about the first 30% but once Jess moves to Toronto for Nursing school and the two are spending more time together, I just couldn’t get enough! Jess is struggling with her courses and her snotty brainiac roommate only helps to lower her self-confidence even more. When she actually opens up to Blake after a little bit of coaxing on his part, I couldn’t help but fall madly in love with him. He always offered her encouragement and gave her ideas on how to make a connection with her roomie. On the surface, he comes off as being just a pretty face with the maturity level of a sixteen-year-old, but Blake is a highly intuitive and giving person who thinks of the people who he loves and cares for first before himself. And any man who loves dogs as much as he does definitely gets extra points in my book!

Jess and Blake end up having a sort of “friends with benefits” relationship at first, and it works for them in the beginning because neither are looking for anything serious. Jess is very dedicated to her studies and needs to keep a certain grade point average to hold on to her partial scholarship. Blake has only ever been in one serious relationship and his ex’s betrayal hurt him so badly that he’s afraid to let any woman get close to him like that again. As they spend more time together, the chemistry these two have is pretty hard to fight and eventually they realize that there’s more than just a physical connection between them.

Wren leaves the only home she’s ever known & her old life behind. She heads to California where she will live in a world of mansions, paparazzi, & extreme wealth. She doesn’t care about material things & the Hollywood life. She only wants to be with Wes. Wes wants to live as normal a life as possible & not be in the spotlight so much. He adores Wren & just wants to take care of her and be with her. They try to find time as a couple while avoiding scandal, but it’s not easy living under a microscope in the public eye. We get some angst as Wes & Wren try to navigate their new life together.

-I felt so safe and secure in his presence. So cared for.

-“There’s something strong between us. It may be new, but it is too strong to be denied.”

-I felt warm, safe, and cherished.

-No man would ever compare to him, no man would ever be able to satisfy me like him.

I loved this book so much & fell hard for Weston Lockwood! He was super swoony, loves hard and with his whole heart. He was gentle, loving, sexy and alpha all rolled into one delicious package. This story was a bit taboo with the age difference, but I couldn’t get enough. The sexy times were hot as hell. The book is like a fairy tale Cinderella story. It’s also a long book, but it’s so fabulous it flew by. I was totally consumed by this story. I hope we get a book for Lance next.

I’ve read plenty of books written by Kendall Ryan and I think THE ROOM MATE is definitely my top favorite!! I really hope that the next two books can live up to the fabulousness of this first installment! First off, let’s make an homage to the beauty that is the cover of this book!! I mean, HELLO, have you seen a hotter cover?!!! It was one of the main reasons I signed up to promote and review the story! And let me just say the other book covers are not too shabby either!! I really do believe Kendall Ryan has a huge HIT on her hands with this series! This is my second romance with the best friend’s little brother and I have to say I didn’t think I would love this trope but THE ROOM MATE has changed my outlook 100%!! Ladies, I am not exaggerating when I say– Get ready to fall in love with Dr. Cannon Roth!

Cannon is in his last year of Medical School and on his way to starting his residency in a specialty of his choice. He has always been driven when it came to his education. He went to Yale on a full academic scholarship and chose medicine as his major because he wants to be able to take care of his mother who worked so hard to raise Cannon and his older sister all on her own. Cannon’s dad abandoned them early on and it’s always left him with the need to care for and protect his mother and sister. It also affected his view of relationships. When Cannon shows up on her doorstep, Paige is stunned by how incredibly gorgeous and masculine he has become. Maybe living with Cannon won’t be such a bad thing after all! The problem is she’s starting to feel insanely attracted to him. It doesn’t help matters when she sees him in all his naked glory the first night he moves in and holy “H” when she walks in on him taking matters into his own hands the next night- it’s no wonder why her lady bits were always on fire!
