Jamie & Wes haven’t spoken in 4 yrs. Jamie is still hurt Wes cut him out of his life. He was his best friend through Jr. High & HS, and Wes was the one friend he valued over any other. He is angry with him, but also misses him. He never knew what to expect when it came to Wes, & hanging out with him was always an adventure. Now after all this time, the guys college teams are about to face off at the National Championship Tournament in Boston. They know they will see each other & it will be uncomfortable, but Jamie wants answers to why Wes threw away their friendship, & Wes wants to apologize. They re-connect & talk about that night when they were 18, & are both so happy to see each other. Wes realizes he overreacted & misjudged Jamie.

Wes finds out Jamie has been coaching at their old summer camp & decides to coach this summer as well. One look at the 1st guy he’s ever loved, and he wants to be closer to him. They are both about to graduate college & move on to the NHL, & Wes would like one more summer with Jamie again. They are roommates again, & Jamie soon is discovering new things about himself. He is feeling more than friendship for Wes, & wants to explore this new attraction, & to Wes’s surprise can be quite bold. They coach alongside one another for the next 6 weeks, & grow closer. Things heat up fast between these two & it turns into a beautiful love story. This is my fav MM book I’ve read! Just enjoyed it so much! Both of these guys are such gentle, big hearted, amazing men! This book was smoking hot & a fabulous read! I highly recommend it! 😀

-I’d forgotten how magnetic he is. As if he burns with higher test fuel than the rest of us.

-I’ve always felt a little more alive when he’s around. Life is just a little brighter, a little louder wherever Wes is.

-I’m comfortable with him. I have fun with him. I’m not trying to impress anyone. It’s…easy.

-The brush of his lips make me shiver and lean in for more. Soft lips continue to press kisses on my face. On my neck. Their gentleness feels unfamiliar to me now. And the contrast between the size and strength of this man and the softness of his touch makes goosebumps rise on my chest.

-Sometimes I think he’s not even aware of how goddamn attractive he is.

-I’d always fucking wanted this guy.

-I’d wanted to touch him more than I’d wanted my next breath.

-Why can’t I look at him without imagining all the dirty, dirty things I want to do to him?

-This guy…goddamn it, this guy. I’ve never wanted anyone the way I want Canning. The way I crave Canning.

Amber quickly learns that the sexy mysterious older brother that looks like a model has issues. He’s moody & reclusive. He’s an ex-motorcycle racer who comes from a very wealthy family. After a tragedy he’s become very closed off & private. He is a brooding, damaged man who seems to have shut down. He keeps to himself & wants to be left alone. Amber tries to walk on eggshells around him & stay out of his way, but she can’t help the way just the sight of him makes her body respond. She’s flustered & hasn’t been around a man this beautiful in a while.

Amber begins spending time with Derio & the children & starts to see a different side of Derio. He has a playful side that isn’t so serious or guarded. As they grow closer things heat up & turn intimate between them. Amber slowly falls for the hot, passionate Derio, & OMG is this book delicious!!!

-This man, oh how I fucking want this man.

-I’ve never been looked at this way before- stripped bare by a carnal gaze- and it would be a shame to let it go to waste.

-“Mia leonessa. Te voglio, voglio te far I’amore, voglio tua dolce bocca. Baciami.” He kisses me hard, hurriedly. I have no idea what he just said but I’m agreeing to all of it and melting in his hands.

-“I will go slow with you,” he says. “If you want to go fast, I will go fast. I’m very good at taking directions from pretty girls.”

Eventually Amber’s job extends to not only teaching English, but full-time nanny. As Amber and Derio fall in love, Derio isn’t as broken anymore. Being with Amber he slowly is getting his joy back. She makes him feel happy & alive again. They face their fears together & are just what the other was looking for & needing in their life. They have some problems to work through as Ambers time in Italy is coming to an end. We get some angst as they try to define what they have together & deal with real life. Their connection is so strong, but they realize that relationships aren’t always easy & take sacrifice & hard work.

I absolutely loved this book!!! I liked it was a more emotional read too. The author takes you on the beautiful journey through Southern Italy, & makes you feel like your really there experiencing it all. Then she throws in a dreamy delicious Italian hottie that will make you swoon. I couldn’t put this book down & still have Derio & Italy on my mind! 😀

I LOVE the Hades Hangmen series!! I mean FREAKING LOVE it!!! Since book one I have been intrigued by the dynamics between Flame and Maddie! What I love about this series is that even though each book is about a different couple, all of these characters are very much a part of the story throughout the series. So when we get to their book, we already have a vested interest in the characters. Tillie kept our interests piqued throughout the first two books where Flame and Maddie were concerned. I just knew this was going to be a very heartbreaking journey and I was ready for the challenge.

Flame and Maddie both have had the most horrific childhoods. We knew what Maddie’s past had entailed but could only guess as to what made Flame the way he was. So full of anger. Unable to be touched by another human being. Not having the ability to hold a normal conversation with anyone, and yet he is drawn to Maddie. Ever since the day the Hades Hangmen rescued her from the cult, Flame has made it his sole responsibility to keep watch over and protect Maddie.

Something traumatic happens that triggers Flame to have an intense flashback and ultimately he loses what little sanity he had left. Maddie is the only one who is able to reach Flame. She proved to be quite a strong heroine. This little one , has to be the bravest woman in the entire series. She saw past all the crazy and found the beauty that was within Flame. He may have rescued her from the cult and the ghosts from her past, but she also saved him from the chains that tied him to his painful childhood.

I found myself crying so much while reading this one. Together, Flame and Maddie have endured things when they were young children that were so horrific I actually wished that I could jump into the story and go a little Hannibal Lecter on some asses!!! Ms Cole definitely went a little easier on us in this installment than she did in book two. Thank God because I don’t think my heart could have handled that level of darkness again, and I would have considered it a bit of overkill to put these characters through additional turmoil.

The romance was pretty beautiful and had an air of innocence. There definitely was some steam but not like in the previous installments and honestly I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Flame and Maddie were really experiencing sex in a healthy and loving way for the first time. It was a miracle that they could experience beauty in something that used to be the cause of pain and darkness.

This is definitely my favorite in the Hades Hangmen series so far! I am quite curious to see what Tillie Cole has in store for us in Cain/Rider’s book. I read someone’s predictions on Facebook about who his love interest will be and BOY WOULD I LOVE THAT!!!! I never even thought it a possibility but I truly hope that Ms Cole has that same idea running through her talented mind!!

I can’t say enough about this series. I would definitely recommend it, but warn you that you need a buddy reader to help you get through some of the rough parts. This is one hell of an AMAZING story!! Don’t pass this one up!!!

Where do I begin to express how much this book affected me??!! To say that I LOVED this book, is putting it mildly!! This story completely OWNED me, HEART & SOUL!!!! All day I’ve been walking around with these butterflies in my stomach that have not left me since I finished this book in the wee hours of the morning!! Never have I had to actually turn to liquor to get through the angst in a story, until now! I feel like the author knew exactly what I love in a good story and she wrote this just for me!! I never thought that there would be a book boyfriend that could possibly be just as equally Swoonworthy as Kellan Kyle and Jesse Ward, but Ladies, we have a contender here. Lautner Sullivan captured my heart the moment he dived into that swimming pool NAKED!!!! The entire time while I was reading this book, I just wanted to dive into this world and wanted Lautner to be real and all MINE!! This story had all the elements needed to satisfy me 100%. It was as funny as an Alice Clayton book, the sex was OFF THE CHARTS HOT, the Angst was GUTWRENCHING, and the Hero, well he wasPERFECTION!!!!!!

Sydney Montgomery is a beautiful 23 year old woman, who has life goals she is determined to accomplish. She takes jobs as a house sitter while traveling the world before she goes off to Grad School to get her PhD. Her dream is to become a curator for a fancy art museum. Sydney has been under the assumption that her mother led an unfulfilled life before she died from cancer. She vows to be all that she can be to honor her mother’s memory. Syd is spending a month in Palo Alto at her aunt & uncle’s house while they go on a vacation abroad. She’s in charge of house sitting and looking after their crazy dog, Swarley. Her first day there she meets this drop dead gorgeous, sex on a stick, man, who she mistakes for the pool guy. He’s so freaking cocky and charming, and really attracted to Syd, so he pretends to be the pool guy. Don’t know what possesses him to do this but he ends up naked in her pool and we learn he is pretty beautiful all over and well endowed!! MY KIND OF GUY!!!! He certainly had an affect on Sydney as well.

Syd is only in Palo Alto for a month and then she is off to Paris and will be gone for a year. She has no intentions of getting into a serious relationship and makes that pretty clear, but the two spend quite a bit of time together. Oh and did I mention that Lautner is a Pediatric Surgeon??!!! Can the guy get any more perfect?? OH YES HE SURE CAN!!!! The things that this guy does to woo Sydney had my stomach filled with all those wonderful butterflies. I wanted to kick Syd in the butt many times. I know she thought she was heading down the right path but God Damn how many times does a Lautner ever walk into a girls’ life???!!!

Things happen and misunderstandings help to add on to the unbearable angst that starts up at about the halfway mark into the story. All I can say is hold tight!! Don’t give up!! Keep going because this story will leave you with the biggest kool-aid smile on your face when you get to the end!! I didn’t doze off once!! I even stayed up past my bedtime to finish this because once the angst starts, you just want to keep going to get to that HEA!!! I couldn’t stop until I got to the end of the line. Let me tell you, it is like one thing after another that will be thrown at you and will leave you feeling gutted at times. Definitely have some liquor handy!!!

I happen to LOVE angst and think that a good dose of it, makes the HEA so much more fabulous! Which is what you get in this story! I know there is an element in here that some might feel is a hard limit but honestly I knew in my heart what was right and that when two people are pretty much made for each other, nothing else matters!! You seriously need to get to the end so you get the whole story and then you won’t be sorry!! I PROMISE!!!!

I will definitely add this to my TOP TEN FAVE BOOKS OF ALL TIME! This will be a book I will re-read many times over and I think Jewel E Ann is simply BRILLIANT!!!!
