-It was quite apparent that she “hated” me and I almost regretted taking out my sexual frustration on her by demanding so much. Almost.

-Her mind was damn near as naughty as mine when it came to sex, and it was slightly gratifying to know that the attraction wasn’t one-sided, even if there was little I could do about it. I’d never mixed business with pleasure before, and I wasn’t going to start now.

Once the both realize the attraction is mutual it isn’t long before the sexual tension between them explodes. The sex is incredible & they can’t get enough of each other, I loved this short sexy office romance novella. Another fabulous book by Whitney G.!

Fans of Whitney G. are going to absolutely enjoy this super sexy novella. I found it to be reminiscent of the Reasonable Doubt series and Beautiful Bastard. Our Hero, Michael Leighton, is the super sexy CEO of Leighton publishing and New York City’s most eligible bachelor whose crazy sex life always winds up as the top “Page Six” headliner. Michael has been ordered by his business partner to keep it in his pants for at least a year and stay out of the Page Six headlines while they try to go public with their corporation. In the meantime, he asks his friend to help hire a new personal assistant for him as he’s gone through at least eight in the past six months.

Mya London thinks she has landed her dream job working for the super notorious bad boy, Michael Leighton. The job turns out being not what it was all cracked up to be. A year later she is calling her boss every curse word imaginable. He is her worst nightmare who seems to get pleasure out of making her do the most menial tasks and forcing her to work late almost every evening. Mya sends her bestie constant email updates on all of her horrible boss’s evil doings but after one particularly horrendous day at work she sends a scathing and scandalous email regarding her sexual fantasies about him to her friend, or so she thought. The email to Mya’s utter dismay actually ended up getting sent to Michael instead. And now the story gets seriously naughty and oh so entertaining.

It becomes a battle of wills when both Mya and Michael confess to their secret sexual fantasies and it’s only a matter of time before boardroom talk turns into pillow talk. Will the two be able to get over their petty office bickering and is it pure lust or something deeper that is developing between Mya and Michael?

This novella is a pretty fast read and I can’t say that I wasn’t thoroughly entertained. I enjoyed it so much and I got a bit greedy because I wanted more of Michael and Mya. That’s the only reason I didn’t give this a solid five stars!

K. Webster & Ker Dukey take us on another extremely dark and disturbing ride in PRETTY LOST DOLLS. I don’t know why I ever avoided these types of stories because, OMG, I love this series so much!!! It was freaking FLAWLESS!!! I truly hope that these two authors continue to collaborate together and I am sending out a desperate plea to them to PLEASE continue this story!! I am so not ready to put this one to bed!! This book completely consumed me and it felt like within a blink of an eye, I was at the end of the epilogue. And I confess I really fell hard for the dark and utterly demented Benny!! I’m not even going to feel the least bit ashamed of it either!!

Jade finds herself back in the living nightmare she escaped from. Back with the man who stole her innocence and a piece of her soul. But now he has a partner in crime who actually is even more psychotic than he is. Jade spent years feeling guilt over leaving her little sister behind but always held on to her determination to find Macy. When she’s reunited with her baby sister it’s evident that Macy is one crazy psychotic bitch who has learned more than a thing or two from Benny. The scary thing is, she is even more dangerous because there clearly is no humanity left in her.

But let’s get to the one I loved the most in this story, and that my friends was Benny. Maybe I’m insane but I really felt for him and hey, I wouldn’t mind being his dirty little doll. Benny has his dolly back and he couldn’t feel more elated but also extremely betrayed because she left him and was with another man. Little does he know, he brought the wrong man back with him. Poor Bo!! The things he endures! For those of you who are squeamish, you’ll definitely want to steer clear of this series. I am not going to give away some of the gory things that happen but will tell you this book is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Jade ‘aka’ Dirty Little Doll is able to use her charms to get Benny to open up to her about his past. She hopes that it will help her somehow find his weakness and enable her to escape once more. We learn that Benny has been brought up by a set of seriously f’d up parents. His mother and father were both equally deranged and psychotic. Benny was kept at home and was never allowed to go to school with other kids. Having lived most of his life being isolated from the outside world and subjected to physical and mental abuse on a daily basis, it’s no wonder he turned out the way he did. But Benny has a tenderness inside him as well. He wants to love and be loved. Somehow in his warped mind he thinks Jade is his soul mate and although he is again guilty of committing some seriously heinous acts, he also ends up coming to Jade’s rescue on more than one occasion.

I do believe that Dillon was the right man for Jade and there’s no denying the man was incredibly alpha and sexy, but my heart had already been stolen by Benny. I am not sure if the authors plan on continuing the series but the way things end in this one, they kind of leave it open so that another book could be written. I’d like it if Benny could eventually find the right dolly who could help him heal and live some sort of HEA.

It was some strange in-between place where his old life and new life converged in the most painful of ways. It was what might have been and what could never be, all rolled into one, and yet he couldn’t stay away.

SOMEONE LIKE YOU is the third installment in the Oxford Series by Lauren Layne but it can be read as a standalone. I have to say this series gets better with each installment and it is definitely shaping up to be my favorite of all of this author’s works. This one is by far, the best in this truly delectable and addictive series. I’ve been lucky in that lately my reads have all been five-star worthy and yet again I’m given a broken Hero who completely stole my heart. After the story ends the author explains how at first she had a different Heroine in mind and I do think if she had gone with her initial choice, this would have been a good book but her decision to go in a different direction with the female lead, ended up making this a PHENOMENAL read instead!!!

We begin with everyone gearing up for the wedding between Alex Cassidy and Emma Sinclair. Lincoln Mathis is the sex columnist at Oxford and he’s also the best man. Daisy Sinclair is Emma’s twin sister and has flown in from Charlotte, NC, to be the maid-of-honor. Lincoln is warned by Emma to keep his hands off her sister and Daisy is also warned to beware of the utterly gorgeous Lincoln and his playboy ways. But these two feel an instant connection between them. It’s as if they can see past each other’s facades as if they have a deep-rooted kinship. Both Daisy and Lincoln have become pros at hiding their sadness and pain from their close friends and family. The night of the wedding they skip out together and end up sharing one too many drinks and some really good conversation. Daisy quickly sees that Lincoln isn’t a player at all and that he’s skilled in the art of deflecting the advances of women. She finds it odd but can tell there’s some deep rooted pain he keeps buried and seeing as how she too has her secrets, Daisy never pushes Lincoln to share more than he’s ready to give.

Daisy and Lincoln form a fast and easy friendship and very early on he lets her in on his secret that he has kept from all of his close friends. This has got to be the first book out of both the Stiletto and Oxford series that had such depth and unbelievable heartbreak. I’m not going to give away either the Hero or Heroine’s secret but will admit that I could not stop the tears from flowing and Lincoln Mathis is my favorite of all of Lauren Layne’s heroes. My heart was completely tied up in that man.

I enjoyed having all of the characters from the Stiletto and Oxford series back again and there’s no need to worry if you haven’t read them yet as the author does summarize who everyone is and how they’re all connected.

This was a total pleasure for me to read and one of the things I loved was that the hero wasn’t the stereotypical “Playboy”. He loved his pink fruity cocktails and adored his tiny little Maltese pup named Kiwi. I was expecting Lincoln to be the typical sexy player who had an endless supply of women who kept his bed warm at night and it was completely refreshing when he turned out to be the antithesis of what his outward appearance displayed.

Those of you who can’t get enough of romances with a broken hero are going to want to dive into this one right away. But be warned, it’s going to break your heart so be sure to have a box of Kleenex by your side.

We had nothing to worry about, no relationship drama, no complications. But we did have a deadline. An expiration date. In a week, this thing between us would be over. I looked over at him, and my stomach flipped. What if I didn’t want it to end?

You know the old saying – ”never judge a book by its cover”??? Well, let me just say, this story more than lived up to its cover!! When I saw the book, I was instantly mesmerized! So much that I signed up for it in a heartbeat! I had read one book by Melanie Harlow and really enjoyed it but I think this one is my favorite by the author! This is a story that completely consumed me. I love a story with a beautiful but broken Hero. Jack Valentini was rough around the edges but when his story of loss and guilt is revealed, my heart was melting for this man! Margot started off being a questionable heroine for me. I was worried that she was going to be a vapid prim and proper socialite but as soon as the scones started to fly, I started to love the heroine.

Margot Thurber Lewiston is a City Girl who takes off for the country after causing a scene at a charity dinner that involved her hurling blueberry scones at her ex. She’s normally mindful of her behavior and spends too much time obsessing over how she is perceived by everyone but her ex -boyfriend’s douchebag behavior has her seeing red. Margot decides to leave town for a while for a business trip. She’s been hired as a Marketing Manager for an Organic Farm that is in need of a little jump start to boost their business. Margot’s excited to learn about organic farming, but even more intrigued to meet the HOT Valentini brother, Jack.

Jack Valentini is an ex -Army Sergeant, who enlisted after 911 and ended up going to Afghanistan. Like so many soldiers that have gone off to war, Jack has been severely traumatized by a tragic incident and suffers from PTSD. When he returned home, it was his childhood friend turned Sweetheart, that was able to bring him back and who gave him the feelings of calm that he needed. They ended up marrying but then several short years later, his love is taken from him when she is hit by a reckless driver. Jack spends all his time working on the family farm and keeps himself closed off from everyone else. He barely lets his brothers in as well. Jack is more than a little pissed off when he learns that his brothers have hired Margot to develop a marketing plan for their farm.

When Jack and Margot first meet, it definitely does not go down the way Margot had envisioned it to. She meets a very hostile, rude, and extremely gorgeous man with the most sinfully beautiful body. She’s just a little taken aback by his prickly demeanor but she also can’t help but feel a little angered by his ill-mannered behavior as well. This man is pushing all of her buttons and unleashing her inner tigress. Once she learns of Jack’s tragic past, her heart can’t help but melt for him. And she’ll go out of her way to break through his defenses.

Jack’s first impression of Margot is that she’s a spoiled rich city girl who has no business telling him how to run his business. He also finds it hard to deny the strong attraction he feels towards her. It makes him feel as if he’s being unfaithful to the memory of his deceased wife which in turn causes him to be even more of a bastard towards Margot. As they start spending more time together Jack is unable to fight his desire for Margot and the raw, passionate chemistry that these two share will end up completely consuming them.

But this thing they’ve started has a time limit. Margot is only in town for ten days and then she heads back to her “City Girl” life, and maybe a no strings relationship with a fast approaching expiration date is just what the doctor ordered. Or is it? What happens when two hearts become entangled but one of them isn’t open to let love in?

The prologue got me teary eyed, and then the rest of the story made me want to tear my clothes off. I loved every minute of the erotic and suspenseful Dirty Hacker.

Sophie Hanson recently graduated high school. She’s lived her life hiding behind a computer. She’s always felt like an outsider at school, has no friends and has always felt lost, like she doesn’t really belong anywhere. She got accepted into the Harvard Computer Engineering program, but she’s not entirely convinced that college is what she wants to do with her life. But what she’s absolutely sure is that she wants to become a computer hacker, the best one there is.

For years she has been learning about coding, and firewalls, online is where she feels at home. Now her goal is to become a member of the biggest hacker group there is so she will dedicate her summer to achieve that.

Sophie has never felt more alive than when she is with Preston, the sex between them is hot and passionate but also illicit, but neither of them can get enough. Sophie is consumed by her new world and her decadent lover, she trusts him with everything she’s got, but should she, trust him so blindly?

There’s not much more I can say about this story without giving too much away, and this unpredictable story is better enjoyed if you go in blind. I never expected how complex and delicious the plot was going to be. I’m very impressed by both of these authors. They took me on a thrilling ride, full of passion and great entertainment. I couldn’t get enough and now I’m desperate for more.

Tori Rivera is a 24 yr. old woman living in Dogwood Beach, North Carolina. She’s a waitress, & works at an ocean-front restaurant called Whitecaps. A gorgeous local surfer named Jamie McCade comes into her work constantly hitting on her. He’s made it his mission to harass her & push all her buttons. He’s rude, arrogant & the sexiest man she’s ever seen. Tori refuses to be just another one of his hook-ups, so she tries her best to act unaffected by him. He pursues her, & she acts like she’s not interested, but Jamie see’s right through her act. She isn’t fooling him. He knows she wants him, & he always gets what he wants.

-On top of being the most irritating man in the history of irritating men, Jamie was beautiful.

Nine months later he’s still chasing her, so he raises the stakes. He bets her that soon she will not only want him in her bed, but she’ll be begging for it. Tori decides to play his game & finds herself really wanting him back. She soon realizes she has quite the weakness for this beautiful loser & is desperate for his touch. The sexual tension between them is off the charts, & as much as Tori tries not to want him, she just can’t fight it anymore.

Suddenly they are both overwhelmed by feelings & Jamie is finally getting where he wants to be, which is in her heart. He finally has his obsession, the woman starring in all his fantasies, & he just craves more. Tori is nervous to trust Jamie. He has a reputation as a player & she doesn’t want to get hurt. She has no clue just how gone this man is over her.

This was my first book by J. Daniels & I loved it! Jamie was 100% alpha & absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to read more by this author.

Yes, she still loved Justin, but every time she was in a room with Matt, it was all she could do not to get caught up in the magnetism of attraction that was building between them.

Well, I have another book to add to my list of favorite Christmas romances! Wrong Brother, Right Match was a sugary sweet story that I found to be fully entertaining and satisfied this very sappy Holiday romance junkie. So if you’re just like me, go and grab yourself a nice hot cup of cocoa and get all cozy under a nice warm blanket and dive into this story!! We get a lovable Heroine who is yearning to belong to a close-knit family and dreams of celebrating a magical Christmas, and a delicious Hero who is torn between family loyalties and what his heart truly desires. I found this story to be completely engrossing and although it was missing the steam, I really didn’t feel that it was even needed. This would make the PERFECT Hallmark Christmas Romance!!

Kennedy Pepperdine is a young entrepreneur. She is the CEO of her very own online dating service called Match Made Easy. It has a 99% success rate and she and her boyfriend Justin happen to be one of the couples that make up that percentile. Kennedy seems to have it all going for herself at the moment but things weren’t always so perfect in her life. Growing up with a single mother who spent most of her life marrying the wrong men, really took a toll on Kennedy. She vowed to never make the same mistakes that her mother did. She wants a stable relationship with a guy who shares all the same interests and what she has with Justin completely fits that bill. Her perfect and uncomplicated existence gets challenged during a business trip in Vegas. Kennedy ends up getting stuck in an elevator with an insanely handsome guy and while she is experiencing a full-blown panic attack, the guy ends up kissing her. This kiss is like no other she’s ever had before and even six months later Kennedy can’t seem to forget that handsome stranger. Things are about to get seriously interesting and a whole lot messy for her when these two unexpectedly cross paths again.

It’s nearly Christmas and Kennedy is traveling with her now fiancé, Justin, to his family’s home to spend the holidays with them. This is also the first time she’s meeting them and she is beyond excited. Finally, she thinks she will be a member of a Norman Rockwell type family and will be participating in old family holiday traditions. Never did she expect that Mr. Hottie Elevator guy would be the one to greet them when they arrived at her soon to be in-laws home.

Matt Ellis is also more than a little shocked when he finds out that his little brother’s fiancé is the hot redhead that he kissed in that elevator. He too has not been able to forget her the past six months and he also remembers their conversation in which Kennedy confessed that she wasn’t sure that her relationship was going to last with Justin. So now the two meet again and things are anything but easy between them. There is apparently a bit of hostility coming from Matt towards Kennedy. Matt has had his heart broken in the past by a woman who claimed to love him so he’s just a little more than cynical when it comes to love.

As luck would have it, Justin leaves Kennedy at his mother’s house for a few days while he is called back to Boston for work. While Justin is away, Matt is the designated tour guide for Kennedy and although at first things are tense and awkward, there is no denying the strong attraction that exists just beneath the surface. Kennedy can’t ignore the intense feelings she has whenever she is with Matt. It’s a spark that doesn’t ever surface between her and Justin. Matt struggles with his feelings of family loyalty vs. what his heart truly desires.

His eyes make me lose track of time. Everything about him drives me crazy…his smell, his touch, his voice.

Leave it to Katy Evans to create yet another irresistible Billionaire Playboy book boyfriend that had my heart racing!! I absolutely loved Womanizer so much that once I had the time to sit down and enjoy it, the hours flew by in the blink of an eye and before I knew it, the story was over. What made this book so incredibly addictive for me was the hero, Callan Carmichael. We met him in the previous books but never did I truly appreciate how incredibly sexy this man could be. He sure did give Malcolm Saint a run for his money. Although, I must admit Malcolm is still my favorite in this series by just a tiny millimeter!! This was one hell of a steamy take on the ”romance with the big brother’s best friend”trope!! Get ready to have your panties nearly obliterated by the scorching hot steam that generates between Callan and Livvy.

Olivia Roth lands a highly coveted summer internship at Callan Carmichael’s corporation with the help of her big brother, Tahoe. For the next three months, she will be living in the heart of Chicago and gaining invaluable experience. Her plan is to learn as much as possible and then when she goes back home to Austin, Texas, she will eventually open up her own business which will specialize in reviving companies that are in danger of going out of business. Livvy ends up trying to avoid Callan, which I just thought was impossible because he’s not a man that a woman could forget that easy and boy can he lay on the charm. It seems to take a huge amount of effort on Callan’s part to break through Livvy’s walls that she puts up to protect herself. This lucky lady manages to totally captivate the once notorious womanizer of Chicago and instead of taking what he is offering she tries to blindly stick to her idiotic life plan. I did find Livvy to be a bit delusional and naïve at times, but Callan had me seeing so many stars in my eyes that I was able to overlook some of the irritating qualities of the heroine. There is no denying how amazing the chemistry was between Callan and Livvy. I was easily swept off my feet by this story!!

Something had happened in the universe the day we had met. There was a cosmic shift, some destined alteration to the very fabric of who we were. The sun and the moon had aligned and cast us into one another’s hearts, never to be torn apart.

It’s no secret that Tillie Cole is one of my favorite authors. When she announced that she was writing something different from all of her other books, well let’s just say I had a very hard time being patient!! She has yet again written a novel that I could rate no less than five stars. I mean this story had so much going for it. An endearing Heroine, a beautiful and damaged Hero, the gorgeous backdrop of Umbria, Italy, and most of all a “sweep you off your feet” tale of soul mates and forbidden love!! This book definitely appealed to the fairy tale and sappy romance lover that I am to my core.

I found the first 30% of the book to be a little slow but once I got passed that point, something finally clicked and I found myself feeling deeply connected to this story. Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa Di Parma is a young woman born into Italian royalty. Her life is about to change in a big way. She is to marry Prince Zeno Savona whose father has recently passed away and who was Caresa’s father’s best friend and business partner. The families are heavily involved with Savona wines. The business has been plummeting since King Santo’s death. People are not convinced that Prince Zeno can run the winery successfully. He has spent years being the ultimate playboy and never showing any interest in the family business. When Caresa arrives in Italy, she is taken to the palace in Umbria and briefly meets her fiancé. He leaves her that night due to business engagements in Florence. There isn’t a spark between them during their first encounter. I was thinking that somehow that would all change but we soon learn that Prince Zeno is not the true Hero in this story. The next day Caresa decides to take a walk around the grounds and comes across a barn that has two of the most beautiful horses she has ever seen and a vineyard that has the sweetest smelling grapes. She soon meets the man who takes care of that vineyard and he is nothing short of strikingly beautiful. Caresa feels an instant connection to him.

Achille Marchesi has lived his entire life on the Bella Collina vineyard. He and his father mostly kept to themselves and since his father’s passing, Achille has managed to lead a very solitary life. We learn early on that Achille has struggled through most of his life and his father kept him secluded on the farm in a misguided attempt to protect him from society. Right away something about him pulls on Caresa’s heartstrings and she has the same effect on Achille. We get this beautiful tale of human split-aparts which explains how we all have that soul mate that is our true other half that we are separated from at birth and only a very rare few of us are ever reunited with that person who makes us complete.

I couldn’t help but think of Romeo and Juliet while reading this story. I wondered how these two lovers who were destined to be together could ever have their HEA when they had so much going against them. I found myself being completely swept away by the beautiful romance that is at the heart of this story. I’ve purposely left quite a bit out of this review so as not to spoil it for any of you who haven’t read this yet. I hope that you’ll enjoy it just as much as I have.
