SYNOPSIS
Larkin Mancinkus prides herself on making the town of Whynot, North Carolina just a little sweeter. As owner of Sweet Cakes Bakery, Larkin gets all the town gossip – the sugar, the spice, and the everything not so nice. So when she finds herself on the tip of everyone’s tongue thanks to an encounter with a mysterious and handsome stranger, she learns the true meaning of ‘if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.’
Deacon Locke has spent his life traveling the world with no particular destination in mind. But when he rolls into Whynot on his Harley, he just knows there is something different about this town. What he doesn’t know is that out of all the places he’s traveled and all the people he’s met, the gorgeous bakery owner might just entice him to put down some solid roots.

”Love doesn’t have time frames or set limits. It’s either there or it isn’t. In fact, the people who wait months or even years to figure it all out make me question whether it’s really love they feel. Sounds to me like they need convincing, and love shouldn’t need that.”
It’s time to head back to the quaint little town of WhyNot, North Carolina, to find out if the last remaining single Mancinkus sibling is about to get her true love story. ”GIMME SOME SUGAR” focuses on the shy and beautiful baker who has put her personal life on hold to run her successful businesses for entirely too long. When Larkin isn’t working, she’s curled up on her couch with a good book. Everything changes for her when a sexy stranger rides into town on his Harley with his “Sons Of Anarchy” bad boy exterior. Deacon has no shortage of women swooning over him, but it’s the tiny and full of life Larkin that has captured his full attention.
Deacon Locke is an ex-marine and a nomad. He lives his life traveling down the open road and has not found a place or met a woman that has tempted him to want to call one place home. Then he meets Larkin and suddenly he’s finding any reason to delay his departure from WhyNot.
This is a slow build romance, heavy on the sweet but light on the steam. The characters are lovable and Deacon’s backstory is a little heartbreaking. I was rooting for these two to find their happily ever after. It would seem that it was definitely headed that way although we’re left wondering along with Larkin, whether or not Deacon would be able to retire his nomad ways. Will he head out of WhyNot on his Harley when things get a little too serious between him and Larkin, or will the nomad with no ties to any place or anyone, finally settle down?
