REVIEW – THREE IS A WAR (Tangled Lies, #3) by Pam Godwin

SYNOPSIS

Three means war.
Three sides vying for forever.

Cole.
My first love.
The bad boy with the dangerous smile and passionate temper draws attention like a lit fuse on dynamite. But his dark molten eyes spark only for me.

Trace.
My second chance.
Over six feet of Norse god in a tailored suit, he calculates every move and seizes my hungry breaths with an iron fist.

Me.
The free-spirited dancer, torn between two men with no resolution in sight.
I tried leaving, staying, refusing, and surrendering.
What options do I have left?

I love two men, and I do the only thing I can. I fight.

The TANGLED LIES series must be read in order.
One is a Promise
Two is a Lie
Three is a War

5 My Heart Is Divided Stars!

-Love happened twice, and I have no regrets, even if the situation feels impossible.

-I fell in love with two men and lost myself. I’ll stay in love with one and find myself again.

Danni Angelo has fallen desperately in love with two men. Cole Hartman & Trace Savoy. One is her first love & one is her second chance. They are two alpha males that are dominating & addictive in every way. She tried having an arrangement with them that was impossible. She craves them both & finds them irresistible. She’s tried resisting, surrendering, & running, and nothing’s worked. She always ends up right back where she started, overwhelmed with emotion & desire, and hopelessly torn. They make her feel alive & whole. She burns for them & they completely consume her when they are near. She’s tried to stop the toxic cycle they’re in, but she can’t give them both up. She must make a decision, or forfeit her greatest chance at happiness. She doesn’t want to hurt them, but also doesn’t want to live with regrets. Both men want forever & are willing to fight for her. She has something rare & precious with each of them, but will have to follow her heart & decide who she see’s her future with.

-It’s crazy how similar they are in some things.

-But they’re so very different in other ways.

-What matters to me are traits they both possess. They’ll dance with me when I ask, whenever, wherever. They’ll hold me when I need it, tightly or tenderly. And they love me, even when I fuck up.

-I’m going to fight. Fight my doubts. Fight my fears. Fight my indecision. I’ll fight through the agony and do the hardest thing I’ll ever have to do. I’ll choose which part of my heart I have to let go forever.

I loved this series so much! It’s my favorite by this author. I haven’t read a series in a while that has consumed me & wrecked me emotionally like this one has. These characters are addictive. I’ve never read a love triangle where I truly adore both men and have such a hard time choosing one. It was an intense story with so much love. One woman, two soul mates, & magnetic, crazy chemistry=on fire hot!!! This series needs to be read in order. It’s hard to put down & is absolutely fabulous!!!

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

I’m the betrayer who loves them both. The persecutor who will rip us apart. The executioner who will snuff the light that burns so brightly between us.

Pam Godwin’s TANGLED LIES series will take you on one wildly erotic and entertaining ride. I found myself consumed by this angst-filled story of three people caught up in a love triangle that will ultimately shatter not one heart but three. I guarantee that most of you will find it hard to choose between Cole and Trace. They were both incredible Heroes and just like Danni, my heart belonged to both men. However, there was one I loved just a bit more and so I knew going into this last book, that there was a chance the outcome was going to shatter me.

At the end of book two, Danni had walked away from both Cole and Trace. It’s been five weeks since she last saw the two loves of her life and she’s barely breathing. Danni has sold her house, is unemployed, and has plans to move in with her parents who live in Florida. Her plans change when she ends up being drugged and kidnapped. We quickly learn that she isn’t in any physical danger. Turns out Cole and Trace are her kidnappers and they brought her to Cole’s luxurious and isolated cabin in the mountains. They’ve been keeping tabs on her and know that she hasn’t been doing well without them. The plan is to live in that cabin for the next six months and by the end of their time together, Danni will have to choose which man will get to be her ’forever’.

This is one crazy story! How this one woman could get so lucky to end up being loved by two incredible men baffled me throughout the series. She questions it herself quite a few times throughout the book and I must admit I didn’t think she was all that special. Danni’s personality often grated on my nerves, but what I wouldn’t give to be in her situation. She literally gets to have her cake and eat it too and I found it refreshing that the Heroine had all the power and adoration.

To say this last installment was steamy would be a gross understatement. Some of the scenes were so erotic I wouldn’t be surprised if some panties go up in flames from how scorching hot things get between the three characters. I finally got the M-F-M I’ve always fantasized about!!

I think that most readers will be pleased with how the story ends but it will definitely feel a little bittersweet too because of the one who is left behind. No matter who you favor I do believe the outcome will leave you feeling satisfied. Just be ready to be taken through twists and turns along the way.
