THE MASTER (The Game Maker, #2) by Kresley Cole

A need colder than Siberian winter meets an attitude hotter than the Florida sun in #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole’s sultry new Game Maker novel.

Everyone fears the Master…

Rich, irresistible politician/Mafya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan prefers tall, obedient blondes to fulfill his… complicated desires. That is, until the icy Russian encounters a disobedient brunette whose exquisite little body threatens his legendary restraint.

Except her.

Catarina Marín was a well-off young wife until her world fell apart. Now she’s hiding out, forced to start working as an escort in Miami. Her very first client is beyond gorgeous, but when he tells her what he plans to do to her, Cat almost walks out of the door.

If pleasure is a game, play to win.

After their mind-blowing encounter burns out of control, the lovers crave more. If they escape the deadly threats surrounding them, can Maksim overcome his past—to offer Cat his future? Only then will she tempt him with what he really wants: her, all tied up with a bow.

*****Dee’s Review*****

(This book was a gift from my sweet friend Irene)

The Master was one of those books that deeply resonated with me. Everything about the story ignited something powerful inside me. The strong characters, the hilarious and steamy plot and the fact that the story was set in Miami, made this book absolute perfection to me.

Muchas gracias, Botox.

Cat is a woman who is running from the past. She made one huge mistake that has cost her everything. The only thing she still has is her freedom and the man who is chasing after her is willing to do anything to take that from her.

Cat’s precarious situation has pushed her to do things that are completely out of character for her, but she is a fighter and a survivor so she is willing to face whatever opportunities life gives her.

By chance Cat finds herself in front of a gorgeous Russian who is about to change her life, forever…

Politician/Mafiya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan has very peculiar tastes. He always goes for the same kind of woman, tall, blonde, and European. He avoids relationships. He doesn’t trust anyone and only focuses on work. So when he meets spicy Latina Cat, he’s not prepared for the tiny voluptuous woman to turn his world upside down.

Cat and Maxim quickly become addicted to each other. They fight and have sex with the same explosive intensity. Both are very proud, smart and hard headed characters, but these traits only make the fire between them burn brighter.

There are many secrets between them and those will become a threat to their future.

“Those years ago when I was down in that basement, I wish I had known that on the other side of the world, there was a bold little girl fighting for her pride. And that she would come into my life one day to make it brighter.”

As a Latina living in Miami, I was totally impressed by how genuine Cat’s character was. Never before have I read about a character in a book that was so much like me. It’s not very often that a Latina makes it as heroine in a story, and I never knew how much I craved a character like Cat until I had the fortune of reading this book. In all honesty every single character in this book is fantastic!!!

This book is absolutely magnificent and I can guarantee that anybody who reads it will become as enthralled and addicted as I have.

Thank you so much to my book soul sister Irene, for always rocking my literary world with best books. ❤
