My whole life had been a series of following down paths that someone had set me on. It was time I picked my own path, no matter which it was.
Get ready to be taken on a romantic journey to some of the most exotic locations around the world. Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have yet again created a mesmerizing story that captivated this reader and also left me a bit sleep-deprived. Ward and Keeland are the PERFECT writing collaboration. It is impossible for these two to write anything that is less than a five star read for me!! Ladies, you are going to fall head over heels in love with Captain Carter Clynes!!!
Kendall Sparks is a young woman at a crossroads in her life. Sitting in an airport lounge, Kendall is trying to pick a destination to escape to in order to avoid making a life altering decision that is being forced upon her by her family. She runs into one seriously gorgeous and cocky man and the two engage in some flirtatious and hilarious banter. Carter comes off as quite the ladies man and Kendall’s defenses are up but after their encounter she finds herself buying a ticket to Rio, which is where Carter suggests she go to since that was his destination. Later she’ll find out that Carter is the pilot of that flight and soon these two will embark on a whirlwind adventure filled with a lot of laughs, soul searching, some tears, and some delectable steam!!!
As the two spend more time together they get to know the real person behind the façade that they’ve put up for almost everyone else. There’s more to Carter than just being the ultimate player and Kendall isn’t the spoiled socialite that everyone presumes her to be.
As the layers are peeled away, I dare you not to fall head over heels in love with Carter. It was simply IMPOSSIBLE for me not to go all swoony for him. I loved that the authors didn’t make him out to be the stereotypical Ladies’ Man. My heart ached for him once the angst got underway and I even stayed up well beyond my bedtime to get to the very last page!!
PLAYBOY PILOT had an enjoyable plot, plenty of steam, a top of the charts book boyfriend, and enough angst to satisfy all of my requirements to categorize this as a truly STELLAR read!!

Kendall Sparks is a 24 yr. old woman from Dallas, Texas who grew up wealthy living on a ranch. She has some important decisions to make & needs time to think. She decides she needs an escape from her real life for a few days & heads off for an impulsive trip. The issue is she doesn’t have a clue yet where she wants to go.
Now she’s in the Miami airport lounge trying to decide where to go when a gorgeous man is listening in on her dilemma. They share a flirty conversation & just connect right away. He’s playful, confident, & absolutely hot as hell. Kendall is wishing she had more time with him. When she takes his suggestion on which flight to take, she gets her wish. The pilot of her plane is Captain Carter Clynes, the guy she met in the bar.
When Kendall arrives at her destination, her sexy pilot has a layover for a couple days. They end up spending time together & getting to know each other better. Soon Kendall becomes rather attached to him & isn’t ready to part ways with this man who excites her & makes her feel so much. As usual, these two authors together are golden! I adored this book so much! Carter was such a beautiful, loving man with a huge heart. This couple was completely addicted to one another, & crazy for each other. If you love a fun, flirty read you can’t put down, this book is for you!

I’m on cloud nine right now after reading this wonderful romance. Authors Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are like peanut butter and chocolate, or like silk and lace; they just compliment each other’s writing styles, and together they created something so unique and delightful that leaves you wishing that the story never ends. I could read Playboy Pilot a hundred times and never get bored, and still love it every time, it’s that good.

Kendall Sparks is at an airport bar searching on a map for a far and exotic destination to escape from her complicated life. A life that is so messed up that she doesn’t even know how to begin to deal with it. A handsome stranger approaches her, and with his charming smile and good looks he will rope her into accepting a crazy challenge, to get on a plane to Brazil. Even though Kendall doesn’t know anybody there, and she doesn’t speak Portuguese, she has the crazy hope that he too will be there. Little does she know, he is the pilot that will fly her to paradise.

Together Carter and Kendall go on a wonderful journey around the world, where sexual tension, alcohol, thrills and even jail are on the menu, and they will have a taste of it all.
At first, both Carter and Kendall just want to enjoy the present and forget the troubles that haunt them, but the more they travel and spend time together, they discover another side of themselves when they are with one another, and by the time the journey is about to end, saying goodbye will feel both inevitable and impossible.
Carter will inspire Kendall to let go of all the things that scare her and are holding her back. Their adventure will teach her that there’s a world of possibilities at her fingertips, she just needs to let go of her insecurities and reach out for them. Carter is discovering too, that inside that playboy facade there’s still a man who just wants to be able to love and trust again.
These two characters were flawed and yet so perfect together. Such a fun and colorful romance that had so many different layers and flavors to it. Every chapter was an adventure and by the time I was finished reading, I was eager to jump back on that plane again. These are characters you will miss after you are done reading.
These authors are amazing on their own but together they simply bring stories to another level. They have found the rhythm for the perfect song, the song that you’ll always sing and dance to when feeling happy, the song you always keep on replay, the song that makes your heart smile. I will forever dance to the lyrics of Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland.
