5 “I’m Yours” Stars!

Nathan Thorne is a man living in Indianapolis & barely existing after his life was torn apart. His heart is in ruins, and he feels empty & alone. He secluded himself from the world & embraces the darkness. He feels like he’s in a never ending black hole & it’s a struggle just to function daily. He deals with PTSD, panic attacks & continues to spiral out of control. The only thing that helped numb the pain was sex. He needed the pleasure to take away the pain.

He needed something to throw him back into the world of the living, & that comes in the form of a job offer from his father in law. He asks Nathan to come work at his law firm checking contracts. Nathan figures at least he’d be doing something he once loved. He’s bored & lonely and is willing to try anything that could pull his mind away from the hell that consumes him. He needs a fresh start.

It’s hard for Nathan to contain his inner turmoil & be around others. He wasn’t fit to socialize but put on a mask when in public. Nathan finds out he has a partner he will be working with named Delilah Palmer. He is stunned when he realizes it’s the beautiful woman he saw the other day in the parking lot. The same woman that made him feel unhinged just by the sight of her. She was a mystery he wanted to unravel. She intrigued him & it pissed him off. How was he going to be in close quarters with her daily without touching her? There was a non-fraternization policy that was going to be hard to stick to.

The longer he’s around Lila the more he feels like he’s crumbling & coming undone. They were constantly at each other’s throats, & it only served to turn him on even more. He was slowly losing his mind wanting her. He felt like he was in a state of pure agony trying to keep his distance. Eventually, the sexual tension is too much & they can’t resist each other any longer. They are both overcome with a powerful need. Nathan finally releases all his pent up hunger & rage, and Lila is his perfect sexual match. They are taken over by desire as they devour one another. Soon Lila is his obsession, & has obliterated all his self-control. She set him off on every level & had a hold on him. He never thought he could have more again or be happy. She’s giving his life meaning & making him feel again, & it terrifies him. He’s scared about what his love could mean for her. He tries to stay away to protect her, but it’s no use. She’s become a part of him. They are two broken people who are haunted by the past, & find solace in each other.

-I saw her beauty, her frailty. I saw what she kept from everyone. The darkness that was intoxicating. So much that I wanted to drown in it and her.

-“I hate the way I need you all the fucking time. I don’t want that. I can’t want that. I can’t want you… but I do. So fucking much I do.”

-The pull I feel to you is so strong.

-I couldn’t escape her if I tried. Somehow, I was always meant to find her.

As much as I adored the intense, dirty talking, insanely sexy, insatiable Nathan Thorne in Breach, I loved him even more in Breached. This book was amazing. It’s Breach in Nathan’s POV. If you read The short novella Dissolution that was also his POV, that is incorporated into this book near the end. I felt like I was reading a new book. His POV was so emotional, but he didn’t lose any of his edge. I loved getting in his head. I cracked up at all his inner dialogue regarding “the beast”, & also liked the tenderness between Nate & his father in law. I fell even more in love with the delicious Mr. Thorne & loved every minute of this book! If you forgot how hot Nathan is, you will definitely be reminded in Breached!

Wren Bradford is a simple girl from Indiana who is excited to finish her senior year & start college at USC. She’s looking forward to some independence & a change from her boring life. She heads to Las Vegas for her fall break with her mom. She wants to see the sights, but all she ends up doing is sitting in the lobby of the hotel reading while her mother hits the casinos. One day while reading a gorgeous stranger named Weston Lockwood strikes up a conversation with her. She’s never been so physically affected by a man before & is enjoying flirting with him. They begin spending time together while in Vegas and Wren just loves being with him.

Weston Lockwood is a big movie producer in Los Angeles. He’s one of the most eligible bachelor’s in L.A. & known as Hollywood’s golden boy. A chance encounter with a beautiful woman has him smitten. He wonders if there’s such a thing as love at first sight because he’s never felt this strong of a connection with someone so fast. Even more shocking to Wes is that Wren doesn’t seem to have a clue who he is. It’s refreshing to be liked for yourself and not your fame.

Wes & Wren have a few drinks with dinner & wake up the next day to find they are married. Initially, they are both horrified, but soon decide neither can deny there’s something between them they want to explore. They aren’t ready to say goodbye. Wes wonders if Wren is his one chance at having something real, and finding true happiness.

Wren leaves the only home she’s ever known & her old life behind. She heads to California where she will live in a world of mansions, paparazzi, & extreme wealth. She doesn’t care about material things & the Hollywood life. She only wants to be with Wes. Wes wants to live as normal a life as possible & not be in the spotlight so much. He adores Wren & just wants to take care of her and be with her. They try to find time as a couple while avoiding scandal, but it’s not easy living under a microscope in the public eye. We get some angst as Wes & Wren try to navigate their new life together.

-I felt so safe and secure in his presence. So cared for.

-“There’s something strong between us. It may be new, but it is too strong to be denied.”

-I felt warm, safe, and cherished.

-No man would ever compare to him, no man would ever be able to satisfy me like him.

I loved this book so much & fell hard for Weston Lockwood! He was super swoony, loves hard and with his whole heart. He was gentle, loving, sexy and alpha all rolled into one delicious package. This story was a bit taboo with the age difference, but I couldn’t get enough. The sexy times were hot as hell. The book is like a fairy tale Cinderella story. It’s also a long book, but it’s so fabulous it flew by. I was totally consumed by this story. I hope we get a book for Lance next.
