This book is a great addition to the fantastic Game On series. Kristen Callihan created a gorgeous story with the signature style that we have grown to love about these books, but managed to make it completely different. Very sweet and original, loved Dex and Fi’s story…

Dexter is big, tattooed, and has piercings in all the right places, but images can be deceiving and the hard exterior of this football super star might not be all there is to him.

Fiona knew Dexter from when he used to play college football with her sister’s husband, but she never really noticed him, and she really doesn’t know why because he is absolutely gorgeous. Fiona had been busy with school, partying and then trying to establish herself in the real world.

What Fiona doesn’t know is that she has been completely lost and looking for the answers in all the wrong places. Until Ethan Dexter comes into her life and very bluntly and deliciously puts everything into perspective for her.

Dex and Fiona finally get together but the timing always feels wrong, plus they live in separate cities. Fiona has issues with being left behind and broken hearted, and Dex is very insecure about his inexperience when it comes to love, but these two will find a way into a future together, or will they?…

I really enjoyed this book. As a fan of this series I loved being able to get a glimpse into the lives of all my other favorite characters from previous books.

The banter and interactions between Dex and Fi were totally hilarious and I really loved how different they were yet they complemented each other perfectly.

I highly recommend this book, it’s a super fun and romantic read. Perfect for Fall…

When I started reading this book, I didn’t know what to make of it. I would classify this is a sexy dark comedy. I don’t think I have ever read a dark comedy and I wasn’t really sure if this was going to be my cuppa.

I’m so very happy to report to you, that I really ended up liking this book a lot. This makes me so relieved because I adore Jewel and I have yet to dislike anything I’ve read by her.

The story begins at a funeral. There are four people being buried. Jessica and Jude’s parents, and then Jessica & Jude, themselves!! The kicker is that Jude and Jessica are very much alive! I’m a little fuzzy on the why, but these two end up in the witness protection program. Their father was a DEA agent and the two siblings have been trained in all ways of self defense by top government agencies. They’re a pretty kick ass duo.

So they are saying good bye to their old lives in San Francisco, and saying goodbye to Jude & Jessica Day. Jessica is suffering from a tremendous broken heart, because she’s also saying goodbye to her love, Luke!! He was once her psychiatrist. She was seeing him because she suffered through a seriously f’d up, traumatic experience when she was a teenager. It has left her a shell of the girl she used to be. She can’t get close to any man because she is incapable of letting a man take control and she has the compulsion to make men bleed, either by scratching or biting them.

Now Jessica and Jude, are relocating to Omaha, where they will be known as Jillian and Jackson Knight. They live in a community mainly inhabited by senior citizens. Jackson works as a piano teacher and Jillian sells sex toys at people’s houses. Kind of like a kinky tupperware party. She also does the odd job around the neighborhood.

She ends up meeting and becoming extremely attracted to their next door neighbor, AJ. He’s a 42 year old Air Force Sergeant, who suffers from PTSD. He’s quite sexy but also very surly. Try as he might, he just is unable to resist Jillian. These two are just all kinds of HOT together!!

Honestly, I don’t want to say any more about this one. I just gave you all a little bit of background. I really don’t want to spoil this for you and I will admit the story started to win me over once I got to the 75% mark. I had a bit of trouble with it but once I got more of the past, I was so very hooked.

I’m going to say it LOUD and say it PROUD, I am TEAM LUKE!!! Can you tell by my collage?? I mean I used David Gandy for the casting! I want Luke and Jessica to be together. I liked AJ, but to me Luke is the one!!

This ended on quite a cliffy. Thank goodness the next book is out!

He hasn’t been with a woman in a while & his buddy gives him a business card to an exclusive club that fulfills fantasies without the hassle of expectations. FANTA C is just about mutual enjoyment. You tell them what you are looking for and they match you up for one night with someone with similar tastes. Rick finally makes the call and meets up with a woman named Tara Denton.

Tara isn’t anything like Rick expected & he is shocked by their strong connection, & the fact that he is wanting more than one night with her. What starts out as a night of extreme pleasure turns into a lot more when both Rick & Tara can’t get enough of each other. Things turn intense between them. Tara isn’t in a place in her life where she’s ready for a relationship, but Rick pursues her & eventually convinces her to give them a real chance. This book had all the things I love about a Jennifer Probst book. A fantastic story, smoking hot chemistry, but it also was a bit dirtier & I LOVED it! It is more erotica than her other books & sinfully delicious!!! Can’t wait for more of the Steele brothers! 😀

I am being 100% honest when I tell you, I didn’t find a thing wrong with this book! Angelica’s stories just get better and better. I thought “The Excess” was beyond smoking hot but this one will have panties melting EVERYWHERE!!!! Just wait till you meet Daniello ladies!!

Camouflage is a spin-off of The Excess Series. We met Taylor Ellison in that series. She was Nina Scott’s assistant who later ends up becoming her business partner. I really didn’t know what to make of Taylor previously. She seemed a bit closed off and I wasn’t sure that I really wanted to read about her, but of course, Angelica’s gift at story telling succeeded in completely changing my mind.

Taylor is a very strong willed and bad ass heroine! She had to learn to be tough and fend for herself from a very young age. She had an abusive, drug addicted mother, and a neglectful father. From such a young age, she did whatever she had to in order to get herself out of the crap life she was born into.

Now a successful businesswoman, she is loving life and she likes to have her fun with men too. Lately she’s been frequenting The Rabbit Hole. If you’ve read The Sexual Awakenings series, then you would know this is an exclusive sex club where we met Violet and Rhys, whom Taylor happens to know. Taylor has been frequenting the club a lot more recently because of a tall, dark, and handsome man she has seen almost every night there. She hasn’t felt a strong attraction to a man in a long time. Daniello Di Giovanni finally introduces himself to her but their meeting is cut short when he’s called away by a business associate.

While she’s back at home, at a local club, she happens to run into Daniello and HOLY SHIT, what happens is FREAKING HOT and let me just say Taylor wasn’t the only one whose panties melted!! OMG this man! I mean maybe in RL, he might have gotten slapped for his actions but if I were to fantasize about a sexy encounter with a HOT Alpha male, this might just be the way I’d want things to go down!

Daniello is definitely a dangerous man and he basically tells Taylor he wants her but that whatever is between them is strictly physical and will end on his terms only. Taylor hasn’t let a man dominate her in a very long time and there is a struggle for power between the two in the beginning but through it all, the sexual chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS HOT!!

Daniello’s business, whatever that may be, and Taylor’s past, combined, will cause quite a bit of action and could possibly threaten what is starting to build between the two. It starts off purely sexual but actual feelings begin to develop between Daniello and Taylor.

I’m anxious to get my hands on the next book because this ends on a bit of a cliffy. One I truly didn’t see coming and I’m dying to know how it all plays out for Daniello and Taylor.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is one hell of a FABULOUS start for a new series. Angelica definitely has written another winner!! I can’t wait for you all to read this! You will definitely be panting for Daniello!!

The book is due out October 31st!! Less than a week to wait for it. 🙂

This was my first Angelica Chase novel and all I can say is WOW!I can’t believe I waited this long to read one of her books, silly me.

Think of this author as a very talented and passionate musician; one that will play with your emotions and will take you away on a sensual rhapsody and at the end of it all, leave you begging for more…

Taylor is a woman who works hard and plays harder.

For the past few years she’s been focused on her career and has successfully made it as partner in a very profitable company . She doesn’t have time to date so she indulges herself in a sex club where she’s seen a beautiful and mysterious man, who has been playing the staring game with her. The gorgeous guy is Daniello, a man that plays only by his own rules and he is about to show Taylor a very dangerous yet decadent game, one she won’t be able to resist.

Taylor’s past is the reason why she’s such a guarded person. She’s always calculating every single move she makes, never allowing herself to let her emotions get the best of her, but when she’s around Daniello she loses all control, and how delicious it is to give into him.

Both Taylor and Daniello are extremely strong individuals so their relationship starts as a sort of battle of the sexes. Who will walk away first? Who can resist the longest?

Taylor has all the money she could ever wish for and yet she feels like there’s a void in her life and so she will feel tempted to go back into her past and try to find some of the missing pieces in her life but little does she know that deception and darkness will be waiting for her in the little town where she once left her heart.

This story delivers a punch. When you start reading, the plot takes you on an erotic path and by the end of the book, the thrill and mystery will leave you mesmerized. Love is not the main focus for neither of the main characters. They are on a different quest, but their encounters are explosive and for me this was one of those books where you think by mid-story I had everything figured out but Oh no!!, turns out I was not even close and I loved that.

The unpredictability of this story mixed with the eroticism left me truly panting and yes, there’s a cliffhanger, so you can imagine how desperate I am for the next book. Needless to say I was in dire need of a few martinis after I was done reading.

Mina quickly realizes what a sincere person Lev is. He’s this handsome, Russian guardian angel. She soon learns he’s a bit damaged & broken too. He is an eccentric guy, who’s a little different. He’s never felt like he belonged, & doesn’t know how to process emotions or read situations properly. This flawed, highly intelligent, beautiful man has a heart of gold, and Mina feels safe with him & trust him. She feels at home with him, and they begin to develop feelings for each other as they grow closer.

-I was coming to recognize that Lev Leokov was an open book. I only needed to discover the language in which his pages were written.

-I trusted him with every piece of my broken soul.

-I would be his rock when his reason floated away. And he would be the person I needed to remind me that I was no longer alone in the world.

This man was absolutely dreamy & the things he says are swoon worthy! I loved this book so much! Another fabulous book by Belle Aurora! Please give us a book for Alessio, Sasha, & Vik! I need more of these yummy men from this series! ;))

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED Lev!!!!!!!! This book is so romantic, so well written, so fun, so dreamy and I can keep going on and on with positive adjectives to describe what an awesome read this was. If I was still changing my profile name depending on my favorite book boyfriend, I would call myself Lev’s mouse; actually I’ll carry that name in my heart forever.

Mina Harris was living on the streets, hungry and alone when Lev found her.

Lev Leokov is a scary and handsome man, who doesn’t understand feelings but the moment he found Mina, he felt a fierce need to protect her.

Lev provides Mina a hot meal, a place to stay and a job as a bartender at the strip joint he and his brother own. He doesn’t understand much about why people act the way they do, but Mina he can feel deep in his bones.

Mina knows there’s something very special about the perfectly flawed man who has been her savior and she can’t help but fall fast and hard for him. But Lev’s brother Sasha doesn’t like her very much and she knows between her and Lev, both have so much emotional baggage, making love a very uncertain thing between them.

Lev’s reasoning is, he found Mina, he is keeping her and she is only happy to oblige.

Lev was such an amazing character. Honest to a fault, troubled but also very compassionate and even though he was feared by most due to his hard appearance, he won me over within minutes of reading this story. Mina’s character was also wonderful. She’s feisty and even though she’s lived a very unfortunate life, she doesn’t like to play victim, she’s nothing but a survivor. The love they found in each other helped these two lost souls finally find a place where they belong.

Most of the secondary characters were Lev’s family and I loved them all. They all had a troubled past but it only brought them closer. Family is everything to them.

I laughed and swooned like it was going out of style while reading this book. Very enjoyable read. I highly recommend it!!!!

I have never read a Tia Louise book before but rest assured, once I get through my ARCs I have on schedule, I will be reading more from this series!!

Melissa is a beautiful young woman who was recently turned into a hybrid against her will, by an evil vampire. She won’t become a full fledged vampire until she makes her first kill. She’s desperate to break free from her curse and from the evil one who binds her to it. Melissa goes to New Orleans with her friend in hopes of finding a cure from a local witch.

Derek Alexander, along with his business partners, are in search of the vampire who killed his wife years ago. Their intel has led them to New Orleans. On his first night in town, he ends up in a bar where he sees the most beautiful but sad woman he’s ever laid eyes upon. Their attraction is instant and freaking COMBUSTIBLE!!! They are so turned on that they don’t even make it back to the hotel room to get their freak on. These two end up banging in a dark alley way. HOLY CRAP, I was all kinds of turned on by these two!!

I had to stop and splash myself with cold water a few times. I do enjoy a good paranormal romance from time to time and I forgot just how incredibly erotic Vampire sex can be! SHAME ON ME!!

During the latter half of the book a twist develops that threatens to end the relationship that was starting to grow between Derek and Melissa. I kind of wish that didn’t happen but overall this was a very enjoyable read for me. I would say that if you have a significant other, they are probably going to get lucky after you read this one because there is no way you won’t be turned on by this story!!

Another hit from Alice Clayton!!!

Whenever you pick up an Alice Clayton book, there are a few things you are guaranteed – you will laugh your ass off, you’ll have new characters to fall in love with, and you’re in for some incredible STEAM!!! NUTS, delivered and them some!!! I found myself cracking up so hard throughout the book and then needing a couple of cold showers to boot!!

Roxie Callahan has come back to her hometown of Bailey Falls, New York, in order to run the family diner while her mother goes off to be on the reality show, “The Amazing Race”. She’s not at all happy about being back home as she moved thousands of miles away to Los Angeles to escape the small town life and inevitable destiny of ending up like her hopeless romantic mother. But things aren’t working out with her personal chef biz, so this visit back home couldn’t have come at a better time.

The day she arrives back home, she literally runs into the most gorgeous man in town. Leo Maxwell, is the owner of Maxwell Farms and heir to the Maxwell fortune. This guy oozes sex appeal but also has a very laid back attitude. He was a man of few words at first so I couldn’t really get a read on the kind of person he was, but oh did I enjoy every bit of this sexy farmer. He definitely had poor Roxie panting and tongue tied.

Since Roxie is only in town till the end of summer, she decides to have some summer lovin’ with Leo, and she makes it clear to him that this thing they are starting is only a fling. She will be heading back to Los Angeles once her mom’s back home. But as time goes on, Roxie begins to question whether she will be able to walk away from this amazing man.

I loved Roxie!! There were things about her quirky personality that I related to. I think this is why Alice is such an amazing writer. She always makes her heroines someone we can connect with. This woman has an extreme fear of bees. It seems they tend to seek her out and terrorize her. She loses all self control and starts running for her life whenever she comes in close contact to a bee. I totally share that fear of bees! Those suckers really are assholes!!

The sexual chemistry between Leo and Roxie was off the charts and Alice doesn’t make us wait too long for the steamy times to commence. Holy hotness was I panting while reading this one. Don’t even get me started on the nickname Leo gave Roxie –Sugar Snap!! I was feeling a little faint just as Roxie was every time he uttered that name. And I was feeling oh so nostalgic when Roxie would use her nickname for Leo – Almonzo. Roxie was a huge “Little House On The Prairie” fan, as I was also. That Almonzo Wilder had a ton of young teenaged girls swooning, back in the day.

There is a twist that you definitely will not see coming but I absolutely loved because it gives some characters more depth. It was also lovely to get to spend some time with some familiar faces. That really put a smile on my face.

The Hudson Valley series is off to a great start!! Can’t wait to read the next!!

At this point I can safely say that Alice Clayton can do no wrong in my eyes. I was so enthralled and enamored with this story that I even wanted to cast myself as Roxie when I was doing the casting collages. Leo is currently holding the #1 spot on my fictional boyfriend list. Be ready to swoon, laugh and even get a little hungry while reading Nuts. I was craving to make all the delicious cakes Roxie was baking. Nuts was such a delicious romance, make sure to read it my friends…

Roxie Callahan is a private chef in LA, she prepares meals for the rich and famous. She’s been living her dream of cooking and having a safe and strictly no-strings attached love life ever since she left her hometown of Hudson Valley. Back home she was always the shy girl, who thought nothing was special about her and who lived behind the shadow of her free-spirited mother.

Roxie’s mother’s latest crazy adventure is forcing her to go back home to run the family’s diner. Roxie is apprehensive at first because she’s tired of having to bail her mother out after every crazy whim she gets, but the timing is right after Roxie has suddenly found herself fired from all her jobs after a silly butter incident. Who knew butter could be evil??? LOL!

Roxie doesn’t want to admit to herself how much she has actually missed the charm and familiarity of her home town, but after meeting the very sexy farmer Leo, she won’t be able to hide her excitement any longer.

Their mutual passion for food and her always present Bee fear will throw Leo and Roxie together, literally!! A sweet and delicious relationship is born between them but Roxie makes it very clear to Leo that after her mother gets back from her adventure, she’s going to go back to LA and that they should keep just things light and fun for the summer.

These two characters are waaaayyyyy too compatible and this makes it impossible to just have a summer fling but what will happen when after too many sweet kisses they both realize things are actually more serious?

I gotta tell you; never have I ever wanted to reach inside a book and become the main character as much as I did with Nuts. I wanted to be Roxie so freaking bad!!! Not only because I fell madly in love with Leo but her attitude, her friends, her culinary talent, everything about Roxie was awesome.

I loved this book because true to her style, Alice Clayton always brings us a good time. She’s one of my favorite authors because her books always make me happy. Don’t pass up this fabulous book! I’ve already decided that Nuts will be the book I’ll gift to all my book-loving friends in this coming holiday season.

Living in the same small town Roxie & Leo run into one another quite a bit. The flirting escalates & they start spending some time together. Things are easy between them & they really enjoy each others company. Roxie likes her relationships uncomplicated with no strings or attachments. She likes to keep things simple with men. No use of the “L” word. Just fantastic hot sex with no expectations or demands. She’s hoping Leo will be interested in a summer fling, & exploring their attraction physically, cause she wants this sexy farmer bad!!!

-I longed to explore, to taste, to luxuriate in getting to know his body, and how it responded to mine.

Things really heat up between them & Roxie is suddenly having unwanted real feelings for Leo. She doesn’t want her heart invested & it scares her to death that she’s falling for him. She begins to rethink her future & where she belongs.

-Whichever way my heart told me to go, I usually ran in the opposite direction.

This was such a fun, sexy book! I adored this delicious farmer & I was cracking up laughing at all the food innuendos with the nuts & cucumbers. Lol, it was hilarious! I can’t wait to read more in this series & hope we get a book for Oscar next! 😀

I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU, to Katy Evans for writing this book! It was like a beautiful extended version of an epilogue.

Malcolm and Rachel are days away from tying the knot, and Rachel decides they should hold off from having sex till their wedding night to make it extra special. I loved the sexual tension that built up between them. I was even feeling the frustration.

Malcolm was simply amazing!! He may have never experienced true love before but once he gives his heart to a woman, he makes her feel like she is his entire universe!! I swooned the entire time and I loved Katy’s writing so much. By the time we get to the wedding I literally had goosebumps, I felt as if I was Rachel walking towards my Sin!!

-We were living in our own worlds of little memories, and even though we were both separate, somehow we managed to feel for one another. Lonely often recognized lonely. And today for the first time, I began to see the man behind the beard.

-I’d seen a gentle, broken side of Tristan that many seemed to miss.

Liz & Tristan are both broken souls just trying to breathe. They find comfort & a level of peace in each other. They are both tired of being lonely all the time, & just want to remember what it’s like to feel again.

They eventually fall hopelessly in love & start to heal through each other. Their feelings are scary, but they both feel alive again. This was such a beautiful, emotional story about love, loss, & second chances. This book made my heart feel so much, & reminded me yet again how much I love this authors writing! Just a fabulous beautiful book that makes you feel EVERYTHING!!!

-I couldn’t stop touching him. I couldn’t stop needing him. I couldn’t stop wanting him.

-When we were together, the past wasn’t as painful to take in. When we were together, I never for a second felt alone.

-I didn’t know it was possible. I didn’t know the broken pieces of a heart could still beat for love.

-She’s the reason I started to breathe again.

-She breathed life back into my soul.

-He made me laugh in a world that was determined to make me cry.

-He was love.

When I first learned about this book, my first thought was, what a gorgeous cover! But what’s inside the pages of this novel surpasses the attractive cover or any expectations I had about Brittainy C. Cherry’s new book. The Air He Breathes is a thing of beauty, raw and emotional.

Elizabeth has been grieving the death of her husband. He died in a car accident a year ago and right after the funeral, she grabbed her daughter and left town. She went to live with her mother because she needed distance between her and the home she shared with her husband. Being there without him was simply too painful for her.

Her relationship with her mother is not the best. Elizabeth doesn’t approve of her mom’s lifestyle. Ever since her father died her mom has been going from man to man looking for an answer to the loss. Fed-up with it, Elizabeth decides is time for her and her daughter Emma to go back home and face their new life.

Elizabeth has a new neighbor; Tristan Cole, a recluse that everybody claims is the new town crazy. When she comes face to face with him, she can see past his rugged and unkempt appearance. She can see her own soul in his eyes. She can see that they share the same pain, the same loss.

After a few explosive encounters, Tristan starts to realized that whenever Liz is around his numbness goes away. Whether it’s annoyance or sexual tension, he feels. He no longer is a walking dead man when he is with her. Tristan and Liz start opening up about their pain. They’ve both lost loved ones and a big piece of themselves as well, and so they try to find refuge in each other. They find that they can both re-live their pasts through kisses and a fierce passion that while still painful, and makes them feel guilty, is the only thing that takes the loneliness away.

One day, they no longer see their dead spouses in each other. They only see and crave Tristan and Liz. The pain of the past has given them hope for the future. Tristan has fallen in love with Elizabeth and her daughter Emma. But just when things start looking up and they can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel a terrible secret threatens to take everything away, again.

“As long as air moves in and out of my lungs, as long as I breathe, I will fight for you. I will fight for us.”

This is one is one of those books you just want to hug tight. It was beautiful and heartbreaking but it also had a few moments where it made me laugh, hard. Every character in this story was complex and unique. Apart from loving Tristan and Liz; I adored her best friend Faye and Liz’s daughter Emma, they added humor to the story. Even though this is a story mainly about grief and finding love after a big loss, it wasn’t all sad. I’ve read a few books where grief is the main component in the plot and they make it all about the sadness and you even feel depressed after you read it, but not this one. Yes, it had sad moments but I found it so hopeful too. The message in this book was that love can heal, and that it’s possible to love and do it hard even after a huge loss. Beautiful read, I loved it!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

This story was AMAZING!! If I didn’t have so many RL distractions I would have devoured this book and honestly I am happy that I had those distractions, because I was able to savor this one!! After having finished this book, I can truly say that Brittainy C Cherry, is one hell of a writer! I would compare her to COHO from her Hopeless and Slammed days. The dialog between the characters goes from laugh out loud hysterical, to tug at your heart strings emotional!!! I literally highlighted the ENTIRE book!!!

Tristan and Lizzie are two people who sufferedTREMENDOUS loss. It’s the kind of loss that most people never recover from. Each grieve in somewhat different ways but both will feel a strong connection to each other.

Lizzie runs off with her little daughter Emma, and stays with her mom for a while. Being in her own home holds too many memories and she’s not ready to face all the ghosts of the past. But living with her mom proves to be much harder for her, so eventually she decides to take her daughter back to their own home. On her first day back in town, she runs into the meanest and most mysterious resident in Meadows Creek. He keeps to himself and can often be seen running barefoot all over town. Lizzie, however, sees past appearances and finds Tristan to be very intriguing. There is something about his stormy eyes that draws her to him.

Tristan has become a recluse. A monster. He lives with so much guilt and pain from his past. I tell you, my heart broke wide open for this man. I seriously think if this had happened to me, I would beg God to take my life!! Just thinking now about his pain is making me get all teary eyed. He instantly feels something for Lizzie but fights so hard to push her away because he knows he doesn’t deserve her and that eventually he’d only end up hurting her.

Eventually Lizzie, along with her little girl, Emma, are able to break through Tristan’s walls and they form a very close bond. Lizzie and Tristan eventually take their relationship to the physical level and both even agree that they will use each other while having sex to get over the pain of missing their loved ones. As time passes, they both start to develop true feelings and can no longer go on with their arrangement of pretending they are someone else while being intimate. Now they want to be that special someone to each other, but are holding back for their own reasons, which in my opinion, were misguided.

There wasn’t much that I didn’t love about this story. The secondary characters were well developed and happened to bring some of the laugh out loud moments and then also made some of the emotional scenes, gut wrenching. I loved sweet little Emma and her nickname for Tristan, aka TICK. Oh and those feathers!!!! I never knew the meaning behind “white feathers” but wow, what a beautiful sentiment!!

I swooned so hard over Tristan. Any man that would build a library for his woman and write little love post it notes as well, will always win me over hands down!!!

There were a couple of things I had issues with. I guess the author added them in to create the angst towards the end, and so I willingly overlooked them because damn I loved this book so HARD! I was sad when I got to the last page. This is the kind of book that makes me so hungry to find that next spectacular read!!

I HIGHLY recommend this one!!
