REVIEW – SPARROW by L.J. Shen

27263454

SYNOPSIS

Troy Brennan

Every southie in Boston knows that name. The son of a dead mobster. The heart throb with steel blue eyes. “The Fixer” who can make or break you in this city.

Oh, and my new husband.

Sparrow Raynes

That’s me. No one seemed to remember my name up until he barged into my life.
But then he caged me.
Kidnapped me.
And killed every chance I had to runaway from the place where we grew up.
Put simply, Troy Brennan clipped my wings.

I have dreams, big ones, but I doubt he’d ever let me chase them. I have no idea why he’d decided to take me as his wife. But I do know this: pissing off this man will not do me any good. At all.

Sparrow is a standalone, full-length novel. It contains graphic violence and adult situations some may find offensive.

5++++++RED HOT Stars************

(ARC kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review)

I love discovering new authors, and last year I read the debut novel by L.J Shen and I was very impressed with her work. She writes the kind of stories I like to read, strong and complex characters, passionate plots, with a hint of humor. Now, with this new book I was in total awe. Sparrow had all the components I look for in a story and more. I fell head over heels in love with Troy and Sparrow’s story. This book is what I like to call, book-crack, totally addictive!!!!

We start the book meeting Sparrow Raynes as she stares back at her reflection in the mirror on her wedding day. She is marrying the extremely sexy and dangerous Troy Brennan. She’s supposed to say I do to the man people call “The Fixer”, he makes situations and people disappear. He lives a life of extreme chaos and he owns the streets of South Boston.

Sparrow can hardly believe Troy Brennan bullied her into marrying him. He could have any woman he wants, why her? She’s just a simple girl. Sparrow is not a fan of fashion or style. She’s happiest wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans and sneakers. What she is full of, are dreams and goals that she wants to fulfill far away from the town where she’s been an invisible girl, until the day this mountain of a man showed up at her house and stormed through her life, changing everything.

Troy Brennan’s father was one of Boston’s Irish mob kings, Troy grew up in the life of luxury and crime. After his father’s murder, his views and priorities in life have changed, and just like Sparrow, he has many goals, but his might require bloodshed by others to be fulfilled.

Sparrow and Troy start their arrangement hating each other, but soon a sizzling passion develops and their fights become passionate and the interactions turn burning hot. Once these two give into their deepest desires, the rules of the game they’ve been playing start to change and the flames caused by their love will scorch every single page of this novel.

I loved Sparrow’s character so much, even though she was married to a scary, sexy mobster, she never showed him weakness, she fought him tooth and nail. She is smart, and sassy, a total firecracker type of heroine. Troy was my favorite type of Alpha Male, a bit of an anti-hero, that sexy man that you will love to hate. These two characters made a deadly combination, taking us for one super wild ride. So, buckle up, put your hands up in the air and be ready for the thrill!!!

Sparrow is a standalone novel, told from both the MC’s POV and it releases on March 8th. Make sure to pre-order to take advantage of the amazing price.

REVIEW – MIDNIGHT LILY by Mia Sheridan

27863344

SYNOPSIS

Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he’s out of a job, out of the public’s good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different?

Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY VIRGO. Non-Paranormal, New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

(ARC kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review)

I’ve been thinking about how to write this review all day long, and I have come to the conclusion that it’s impossible to describe the story without spoiling it; the less you know the better it will be.

Mia Sheridan’s writing style is a beautiful and poetic as ever. She has a knack for creating remarkable stories that get under the reader’s skin and take over the heart.

18289485._SY540_

Have you ever felt a love that is so powerful that it makes you crazy? The kind that makes you feel like you can fly. It even feels like that love can guide you through the dark, and consumes your every action and thought. That type of special love is what these lovers found in the middle of a beautiful forest…

They found a love that makes them want to be the best they can be, so they can feel worthy of the other but in the same token, they are both flawed and ready to accept the other one for exactly who they are.

Their beautiful story was born in the night but it survived a lifetime…

Midnight Lily was a story that was difficult for me to understand, maybe I’ll never fully get it but I enjoyed it all the same. Mia Sheridan’s words always feel like velvet in my heart and anything she writes is decadent to me. Gorgeous story!!!!!

“I’m not afraid of the darkness. I’ve been there before. I’ll step into it willingly, unhesitatingly, and I’ll come find you.”

I have been a fan of Mia Sheridan for a while now. Her stories are so breathtakingly beautiful and I always get swept away by them. Midnight Lily was no exception but it definitely was so very different from the other books in theSigns of Love series. Be prepared to have your mind totally blown away by the time you finish reading it. I had thought the revelation at about the 54% mark was the true WTFmoment, but no, it is at the end that you totally will be left stunned. The ending left me sad. I know some people ended up really disliking the book and some loved. I’d say that I really liked it a lot but would have loved it if the ending had gone a different way.

You really need to go into this one blind. Spoilers will just ruin it for you. All I can say is that I really did love the hero and heroine. My heart broke for them. These two suffered unimaginable pain during their childhood which left lasting effects on their adult lives. But what is beautiful is that they found true love and happiness in each other.

What I advise is that you try to only read spoiler free reviews and don’t go on the Facebook discussion groups till you have read the book. Actually, the FB group will help you once you are done because I was quite confused by the time I finished the book. Even though I’m left feeling melancholy and bewildered, I really did like it. I guess that means I am a little crazy too!

-I loved the man.

As the couple grows closer, Holden continues to struggle with his demons. They wonder where their relationship will be when the four weeks are over & Holden has to return to his life in the real world. This book is full of twists & turns and every time I thought I had things figured out I was wrong. Mia Sheridan’s brilliant writing & storytelling continues to amaze me! 😀

REVIEW – SPECIMEN by Shay Savage

specimen

SYNOPSIS

I awaken in a laboratory.
I don’t know who I am.
I’m inexplicably drawn to the doctor who cares for me. She tells me I’ve been altered, that I’m stronger and faster, that I’ll be a key component in a war between corporations. She says I volunteered for this. She says I volunteered to be transformed, but I have no way of knowing if what she says is true.
Something isn’t right. My memories have been taken, wiped clean, but dreams begin to slip into my conscious mind. I can’t let anyone know when that happens, or they’ll remove my memories again. Somewhere inside of me, I know I need to remember something important.
I’m fighting a war I don’t understand, and the one woman I rely on can’t be trusted.

As long as she’s near me, I question nothing. She’s my doctor, my guide, and the subject of nearly every thought in my head. Everything I do–everything I am–centers on her.

specimen teaser 3

Where do I begin with this book? I’ve been trying to figure out a way to write a review that will do it justice, but without spoiling anything for those of you who haven’t picked it up yet. I’ve read a few of Shay’s books and I’m definitely a fan of her writing style. She tends to write in the male’s POV and does a damn good job of it. Her stories are usually action packed and could be made into blockbuster movies on the big screen, although they may actually be labeled XXX, or NC17 if she were to cut down on the sexy time. You just know when you pick up a Shay Savage book that you better have a supply of clean panties because the ones you wear will be getting soaked!!!

The story begins with the Hero waking up in a deserted lab. He doesn’t know how he got there and what’s worse is he doesn’t remember his own name. He has no memories at all. You can feel his anxiety and completely empathize with him when he freaks out and wrecks the lab. Gas is leaked into the lab which renders him unconscious. The next time he wakes up he notices an attractive woman in a lab coat working on a laptop. The moment he lays eyes on her, he is automatically turned on. He has been assigned to Dr. Riley Grace for a highly classified medical experiment. He asks how he ended up there and he is told that he volunteered to have his memory completely wiped out in order to be transformed into a cyber-enhanced soldier. He will have superhuman strength and intellect to get him out of dangerous situations whenever he is sent out on a top secret mission. He will also be able to function without food and water as currently they are a rare commodity. Dr. Riley names him STEN, which is short for specimen seventy-two of eighty-nine. There was a total of eighty-nine men who were transformed into these special cyber soldiers.

So Sten has some microchips implanted in his brain and he receives daily injections of testosterone and other drugs that help to make him the perfect soldier but also a lovely side-effect is that he is completely under Riley’s control. He will do anything she says and only wants to please her. Sten also wants nothing more than to have sex with Riley, 24/7. This guy is perfect and I was thinking how awesome it would be if we all could have our own Sten.

specimen teaser 2

Sten starts having dreams and they turn out to be flashbacks of his previous life. He was told he volunteered to be a specimen but his dreams have him questioning if possibly he’s been lied to. As time moves on Riley and Sten give into their passion for each other and WOW, just holy wow, these two can go at it for hours on end. I wondered how Riley could walk straight the next day.

There’s a crazy amount of action and I was dying to find out how these two were going to be able to get through it all and ultimately have their HEA. I have left a lot of the details out because I really don’t want to spoil this one for you all but I have to say I am freaking PISSED with the ending!! It’s like the author said, “HA the joke’s on you!!”

This is definitely an entertaining read and one that will have your mind blown by the time you get to the last page.

REVIEW – LIQUID & ASH by E.M. Abel

LA Ebook Cover

SYNOPSIS

Love was my weakness.
In the light of the truth, no one can hide.

Derek had ignited a spark inside of my heart, a hope for a love I never expected to find. However, our connection lacked the substance it needed to burn. Weakened with resentment, our relationship crumbled under deception, slowly dissolving into ash.

I had sacrificed myself for him and paid the price.

By the time Brandon entered into my life, the longing in my heart had turned cold. But fate was not done with me. His crystal blue eyes and fluid touch revived a wish that had been frozen in time. He gave me hope once again.

Hope is a dangerous thing, especially when you dare to dream.

4 Liquid Stars****

(ARC kindly provided by author)

This was my first book ever by author E.M Abel and I thought her writing style was totally hypnotic. This was a book with a very relatable and powerful plot. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

18265225._SY540_

Liquid & Ash is divided into three parts. In the first part of the book, we meet Penelope, a woman who is at the lowest point in her life. She gambled everything for love and lost, she sacrificed her hopes and dreams after marrying her husband. She wanted to become the woman HE wanted, forgetting completely about her and what she wanted out of life.

Now she’s feeling defeated as she’s watching her marriage burn to the ground and the wind taking the ashes of what used to be the love of her life.

Penelope wakes up every day and self-medicates in order to avoid the feeling of deep pain that has completely consumed her. Her days go by in a haze of drugs, alcohol, and tears. One day finally tired of flushing her life down the drain Penelope is ready for a change. She’s reminded of the love she still has in her life and that sparks the courage she’s been searching for, to finally break free and start over.

On the days where she was distracted by the drugs Penelope met a sexy bartender/ drug dealer who fascinated her. Months later she sees him and again and they start a friendship with benefits.

Brandon has had a hard life and he’s not one to believe in love. He lives his life without any complications but since the moment he met Penelope he’s been unable to stop thinking about her. The heartbreak he saw in her eyes that first time they met did something to him, and now that she’s doing so much better, planning big for her life, he’s more drawn to her than ever.

Penelope struggles between the old and new feelings she gets from the life she used to have and the future she wants to achieve, but every day she grows stronger and somehow learns to love again but is it the right time for her to try again?

18265227._SY540_

E.M Abel delivers a poignant story about hitting rock bottom and the journey of a woman as she picks up the pieces of her life. It’s easy for the reader to relate to this story as we’ve all been there, we’ve all traveled the dark paths of disillusionment. Even though the story starts in a hard place, the end delivers a beautiful message of hope and I really enjoyed it!

The only complaint I have would be the epilogue, it felt a little abrupt. I had enjoyed the story so much that I was left parched for more. Hopefully, the author extends the story so we can have a little more…

SYNOPSIS:

I know what I’m doing when I text Scott at four in the morning.
He knows what I’m doing, too.
That’s why he shows up twenty-three minutes later, freshly showered with a condom in his pocket and a barely dissolved breath mint on his tongue.
I smirk as he looms over me. “You are such a dirty old man.”
“We need to stop doing this.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re twenty-one and I’m not. Because I want to take you on a f***ing date and you won’t. Because we wind up yelling at each other half the time.”
“But the rest of the time you’re inside me and it feels so good, right?”
His eyes darken and I don’t need to look down to know he’s hard for me.

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

I have to preface my review by advising you all to not judge the book by its Title. I know the name sounds all kinds of cheesy and raunchy, but just like the previous series, which was titled HATE F*CK, there’s an actual story and the characters are lovable. I promise there isn’t any beyond moronic dialog in this one, like some of the books out there by a particular author that shall not be named in my review. I really was pretty much hooked from the beginning and anxious to see how it was all going to end for Scott and Alison.

Sexy man and woman in a provocative embrace

Alison Reid is the younger sister of the heroine from the Hate F*ck series, Hailey. Scott Mayfair was one of Hailey’s bodyguards from the Horus Group. They’ve been harboring an attraction for each other and neither one of them has acted on their feelings. Alison is not a believer in love and isn’t looking for a relationship. Her dysfunctional family pretty much convinced her that love doesn’t exist and that she is destined to live her life never knowing what it means to be truly loved.

Scott is about fourteen years older than Alison and thinks that is just too big of an age difference. He also believes Alison deserves better than him, and that if they were to ever give in to their attraction to each other, that he would eventually end up breaking her heart. So when Alison decides to go after the man she has wanted for the past year, he is not readily opening his arms to her. Scott uses all the inner strength he can gather to fight off Alison’s advances. As time goes on, he will realize that his resolve isn’t that strong and when Alison offers him a “no strings” arrangement, it’s going to be pretty much impossible for him to refuse.

Sexy man and woman in a provocative embrace

Their chemistry is ridiculously HOT!!!! These two like to dirty talk and the sex is beyond explosive!! But what happens when one of them wants more than just a Booty Call and the other refuses to believe that this thing that they’ve been playing at has turned into a once in a lifetime, all-consuming love??

Sexy Middle Age Lovers Making Love on Bed in Black and White

If you’re looking for a sexy story, with the right amount of angst thrown in, this one is definitely for you. This can be read as a standalone. If you haven’t read the previous series, you will still be able to follow the story just fine.

REVIEW – BEAUTIFUL BOSS (Beautiful Bastard, #4.5) by Christina Lauren

520374c53c89b68ad95480cfeb87880d

SYNOPSIS:

The ninth work in the New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling series that started with Beautiful Bastard. In this e-novella, Will Sumner and Hanna Bergstrom (from Beautiful Player) find that a wedding and everlasting love were just the beginning.

One Player tamed. One nerd girl satisfied. And one more major life decision to make. When Will fell for Hanna, her quirky sense of humor and fierce dedication to her career were part of the attraction. (Not to mention her coy newbie attitude toward sex and her willingness to let him teach her everything.) But when the job offers start rolling in for her—and oh, they do—Hanna has trouble deciding what she wants, where they should live, and how much she should burden Will with the decision. Magic between the sheets is only one part of a relationship…getting on the same page is quite another altogether.

Ever since I heard that Will and Hanna were getting another book, I’ve been dying to get my hands on it. Will is my absolute favorite guy from this series. I love that he’s a brilliant scientist, a bit of a nerd, but 100% sex God!!

Will and Hanna are starting the next chapter of their lives together. They’re getting married and where they will call home is up in the air. Hanna has several job offers lined up with universities all over the country. Will is being the selfless and supportive husband by agreeing to move to wherever she ends up landing a job at. But as the time draws near to when she has to make a decision, Will realizes that he doesn’t want to move far away from his friends and the East coast. He also doesn’t want her to take a job that’s going to hog up all of her time, leaving very little to spend with him.

The one thing that stays constant is their insatiable desire for each other. Will and Hanna still have naughty rough sex as often as they can. This story will have you hot and bothered in the most delicious way!

As with all the other books, the whole gang is back and there is one memorable scene with Will and George that will have you laughing your asses off. For those of you who love Will as much as I do, you will not be disappointed. He’s still quite the charmer and will have you swooning and panting throughout this story. I think that I would have loved this one more if it had been a full-length novel because I’m greedy and I wanted more time with Mr. Will Sumner!!!

REVIEW – I PICK YOU by Jettie Woodruff

Cover

SYNOPSIS:

When I left Nashville, Tennessee, I knew deep in my heart I wouldn’t be back. I knew I would never be heard on every country music station around the world, and I would never step foot on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Cold hard guilt and responsibilities that I didn’t want forced me on a different path.
Me being responsible for an eighteen-month-old was a horrible idea. Me being a second grade teacher in a catholic school was plain ludicrous.
Life sucked, love hurt, and I didn’t know who to pick.

5 GLOWING STARS*****

(ARC kindly provided by Author in exchange for an honest review)

Hey, can I tell you something?

Is no secret that I was a big fan of The Twin Trio series, and when the character of Brantley was introduced in the last book I was immediately curious by the new teacher hottie that had moved into the cul de sac where Pax and Gabriella live.

Leave it to Jettie Woodruff to bring us something new and unexpected. Never a dull moment when reading one of her novels.

I Pick You was fantastic!!!! This novel can be read as a standalone. You do not have to have read The Twin Trio series to fully enjoy this book.

Teaser 2

Brantley was living his dream by performing his favorite country songs on the busy streets of Nashville. The hot rising star had a different girl every night, and even though he’s not rich, he makes a pretty decent living by singing and playing his guitar at a different place every night.

One crazy night, lust took over the reigns of his actions and he forgot about protection. 9 months later he learned he was having a baby with the girl he had only spent one weekend with. Immature and not ready to face the consequences of his actions, Brantley decides to pay for child support, but decides not to be part of his child’s life.

Kit is the mother of his baby and she’s tried in the past to get Brantley involved in the life of their daughter Bay without avail. It’s not until a big career opportunity for her comes knocking on her door that she finds herself having to force Brantley to take responsibility for his daughter.

Kit leaves Brantley with their two-year-old baby Bay, and a book full of how to’s. Her heart feels heavy but she trusts that baby Bay will make her daddy fall in love with her and help him mature and become the dad she knows he can be.

New home, new job and a being a new father, Brantley feels totally out of place but little does he know that his relationship with Kit will be renewed and he will also meet a Florida cowgirl that together with his daughter Bay, these women will turn his life inside out.

18236628._SY540_

Brantley never knew what love was, and now he has so much of it that he doesn’t know how to deal with it all. He feels closer to Kit now that she’s so far away and he has so much in common with Rydell, the beautiful teacher that works across the hall from him.

Brantley has a lot of growing up to do and, unfortunately, it’s not until he almost loses it all that he finally finds himself.

I’m not going to tell you that Brantley is a super swoony hero, who you’ll fall in love with immediately. He’s a little bit of an anti-hero. He’s hot, obnoxiously cocky and very selfish. So it was a real beauty for me to see how the love for his daughter changed him. Brantley was as delicious as he was frustrating at times but his interactions with Bay, simply melted my heart and ultimately won me over.

This was a beautiful story about finding love and forgiveness. About growing up and finally finding happiness in an unexpected place. I love the realness in which this author wrote the story, the way she humanized the characters and made me fall in love with them, even when I didn’t agree with their actions, was a wonderful experience. Jettie Woodruff writes the kind of books I want to read and I truly loved this one.

Brantley Jandt is a 25 yr. old guy whose been following his dream in Nashville for the past 5 years. Music has always been a huge part of his life, and he wants to make it big in Nashville as a country music singer. His dreams of being a superstar are cut short when Kit, the mother of his child contacts him, asking him to care for their 18 month old daughter while she is in Kenya for the next year.

Brantley has never been much of a father to his daughter Bay. He sent his monthly check, but never felt he was really cut out to be a parent. He’s about to be a dad to a little girl he’s only met once. He’s a little panicked at the thought of being responsible for a little person. It’s time to man up, act like an adult & get a real job. Brantley falls back on the teaching degree he never thought he’d use, & sends out resumes. He finds a job in Hudson, Florida, and makes plans to care for his daughter.

Brantley rents a gorgeous house on the beach from his cousin Lane, & starts his new job as a 2nd grade teacher at St. Augustine’s Catholic School. He goes from the single life to living in a cul-de-sac, and being a full time dad. He falls in love with his daughter pretty fast & it melted my heart. He regrets not being with her from the beginning, & quickly becomes attached to her. He just learns as he goes & is a totally swoon worthy, delicious dad! He has a couple love interests in this story & we don’t know if he will end up with a fellow teacher that makes him want more, or if he will work things out with Bay’s mom. I found myself liking both women. Brantley is going through so many changes in his life & realizing he wants more for himself. A family, a place to put down roots, but most of all his daughter Bay. She has become the most important person in his world! I really enjoyed this book & thought it was fantastic! 😀

I knew Emily was dead. But these letters, they were probably the last words she’d committed to paper, and they traced her downfall as she’d come to terms with her own death. I was reliving her last days, and I wanted her story to end differently. I wanted our happily-ever-after.

9 LETTERS TEASER BT

When I heard the buzz about this book, my interest was piqued. I usually stay away from novels written by first-time authors because I just assume the story won’t be anything special, or will read like it was written by an amateur. Let’s face it, there’s a lot of crap books out there. Also, the last time I read a supposed sad story written by a man, I hated it with all of my heart. I’m happy, in this instance, that I took a chance on this book. I really enjoyed it, even though the story was incredibly sad.

9 LETTERS TEASER

Have you read or seen the movie P.S. I Love You? Well, this book right here was like the male version of that movie. In this story, it is the wife that dies way too soon and leaves behind her devastated husband. It’s a year to the day that Luke Cawley’s wife, Emily, passed away from cancer. He has become an empty shell of the man he used to be, after having lost the love of his life, his high-school sweetheart. Luke’s given up on pretty much everything that brought him joy and has become somewhat of a recluse, shutting out all of his friends and family. Then one morning he finds a package on his front porch and the contents turn out to be nine labeled letters from his deceased wife.

Emily knew Luke so well, that on her death bed she decided to write him a series of letters to help him find his way back to the man he used to be. Each letter either had a task for Luke to complete or a truth to help ease his guilt. He was not allowed to read each subsequent letter until he fulfilled the task requested of him from the previous one. Slowly, Luke realizes that he let his grief take over his life and that he had been making some poor choices.

While trying to complete a task from one of Emily’s letters, he meets a beautiful and sweet woman named Rae. She ends up making him feel something he thought had died along with his wife. But he struggles with guilt where Emily is concerned and at times his temper gets the best of him, which has him acting like an ass on more than one occasion. Will Luke let his bitterness ruin his second chance at happiness or will he find the inner strength and clarity to move on?

This was a very good story by a debut author. One that I was completely engrossed in and that I do highly recommend.

REVIEW – SOULLESS (King, #4) by T.M. Frazier

soulless

SYNOPSIS:

The finale to Bear and Thia’s epic love story.

Two words come to mind when trying to describe this book; pleasure and pain. Soulless was an electrifying page turner that will tease every single one of your senses. Do you dare?

Bear committed the ultimate sacrifice in order to save Thia, the one he loves. Everything happened so fast for Thia and Bear in Lawless. One minute they are enjoying the passion of their unconventional relationship and the next, Bear is taken into custody.

Soulless picks up with Bear behind bars and Thia under the protection of Rage; a new character that looks like a prom queen but is deadlier than any contracted assassin out there on the streets. Rage’s specialty is arson. She’s a very skilled assassin who lacks human compassion. A total badass babe!

Bear is ready for war, he wants to fight for his freedom all while keeping Thia safe, but as long as his father is out there he will never be able to breathe easy. With the help of King, he’s ready to take on the deadly mission of killing the president of the Bastards MC.

Blood will be shed and death will run its course before the conclusion of this gritty story can happen…

Everything about Soulless was over the top, and I’m not sure that’s necessarily a bad thing. Yes it was dark and gruesome, and I’ll probably wear a permanent frown on my forehead from cringing so much ( I was in need of some Botox, anyway), but also the love between all these characters was something fierce. The brotherhood between King and Bear, the love Grace had for her boys, and more importantly, the intense and raw love Bear and Thia share. Everything in this book was intense, definitely not for the faint-hearted.

I loved all the excitement and the new characters, but I also enjoyed the familiar dark and gritty plot that I’m used to getting from this author. You have no idea what T.M Frazier has in store for you. Soulless is full of twists and turns, so many secrets are revealed in this second part so make sure to remember to pick up your jaw from the floor when you finish.

Seems like T.M Frazier is getting ready to elevate her stories to a whole new level of awesomeness and bring us, even more, wicked excitements in the near future, and I am definitely ready for more, are you?

We started on a broken promise, one never meant to be kept. We ended on the promise of forever.

This series has been a freaking wild roller coaster ride with surprising twists and turns. If you have read T.M. Frazier’s books, you know this story isn’t going to be pretty. It’s going to be raw, gritty, and at times very dark and painful. I knew going into this one that the road to happily ever after for Bear and Thia wasn’t going to be paved with hearts and flowers. These two will go through hell and at times, I wondered if they would make their way out of it alive and with their sanity still intact. Actually, I know Thia and Bear were definitely bat shit crazy because their relationship was far from conventional.

The one thing that remained constant in this story was the deep and passionate love they shared. There wasn’t anything they wouldn’t do for each other. They also couldn’t seem to go without sex for more than a couple of minutes. I wondered how Bear’s penis hadn’t fallen off with the amount of times he had to have Thia. They didn’t even care where the hell they were or if they had an audience. One particular moment had me thinking they were definitely just a tab bit demented. But I can’t deny that I was fanning myself quite a bit.

There’s definitely a ton of action and several WTF moments in this one. I mean I really don’t think that you will see it coming. I sure as hell didn’t. I do have a feeling, by the way the story ends that this is not the last book in the series.

Get ready for a total mind fuck ladies!
