REVIEW – STUCK-UP SUIT by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

stuck - up suit cover

SYNOPSIS:

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on.  And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

“Your name may not be tattooed over my heart, but it will always be etched into my soul.”

This book was definitely UNPUTDOWNABLE!!

I loved this book from beginning to end. I really did have a hard time putting this one down. What is amazing is that with two authors co-writing, I never felt like there was ever a time where the story didn’t flow perfectly. It was as if Penelope and Vi were melded into one person and wrote a truly wonderful book.

Soraya Venedetta is a feisty and unique woman, who dyes the tips of her hair different colors to signify what mood she is in on any given day. She works as the assistant to a newspaper advice columnist and often times gets to provide advice back to some of the readers who ask for help. She has a non-existent relationship with her estranged father and that has bled into her personal life. Soraya finds it hard to trust men and has abandonment issues.

Her world is about to take an exciting turn and it starts during a train ride to work when she sits next to an extremely handsome businessman who seems to be an arrogant ass from what she observes from his cellphone conversation. Fate lends a hand in bringing these two together when Soraya finds his phone on the floor of the subway car. She finds out that his name is Graham Morgan and where his office is located and then sets out to return the phone to him. When he refuses to see her, Soraya takes a few choice photos of herself and texts them to him and then walks out. She only ends up intriguing Graham and sparking his curiosity. Graham becomes determined to find her and once they finally meet face to face, my God, the chemistry is off the charts hot! Graham is a seriously sexy and filthy talking Alpha Male. It’s practically impossible to avoid falling madly in love with him.

Graham and Soraya come from completely different worlds and on the outside it would seem that they are an odd couple, but there couldn’t be two people that were more meant for each other than these two. Even though Soraya felt self-conscious when going to functions with Graham, he never was ashamed of her style and oftentimes encouraged Soraya to let her hair down. Literally!! I loved how he pursued her relentlessly and the sex was Out Of This World AMAZING!!!! I’m talking you are going to need a few fresh pair of panties because get ready to have your panties melted right off of you!!!

There are a few things I need to add that just made me love this story so much more. Graham is a closet General Hospital watcher. Even his little Westie is named after one of the famous characters from that soap opera during the 1980s. I got a kick out of the two discussing some of the more popular characters of that show because it used to be my favorite back in the day. When Graham’s mother passed away, it affected him so deeply and he closed himself off a bit, but he always remained close with his grandmother. He visits with her and dotes on her often, which made him that much more appealing.

I’m trying to think of something that I didn’t like about this one and I’m coming up blank. This story had it all. I HIGHLYrecommend that you go and one click this asap!!

a7a66-second-past-forever

I love JB McGee and loved her THIS series when I read it about three years ago. This story’s heroine was kind of similar to Gabby from the series I read previously, but she also ended up frustrating me throughout the book. Claire is a sixteen-year-old ballerina who has been dancing since she was five. She is the only one in her dance class that doesn’t come from money, and she also doesn’t have a waif-like figure. Poor Claire is often ridiculed and bullied by a group of mean girls until one day the beautiful boy in her class stands up for her and he also makes it very clear that he has been crushing on her for quite some time.

Sebastian Reyes is the top dancer in her class and he’s also the object of many girls’ affections, but he only has eyes for Claire. I really loved Sebastian and how he always tried to break through Claire’s insecurities and helped her see herself through his eyes. He had my heart from the start.

Some big life altering events occur that affect Claire’s future. I wasn’t happy with some of it and then another hero is introduced. Liam was mysterious and definitely sexy but when he’s also described as being into a little of the BDSM, I felt like the story took a wrong turn. I think this just didn’t have a place in the story. It felt very off for me. Plus the little revelation towards the end, I did see coming and thought that it should never have been added to the book. The epilogue would have been perfect if it focused only on Claire and how her life turned out but there were additional revelations that just ended up confusing the heck out of me.

Overall, I did like the story, but I just didn’t love it. That being said, I love this author’s writing and will definitely be reading her future works.

REVIEW – THE PLAYER AND THE PIXIE (Rugby, #2) by Penny Reid & L.H. Cosway

27999771

How can someone so smokin’ hot be so bad in bed? I mean, Sean Cassidy is absolute rubbish. RUBBISH. He is the epitome of walking, talking false advertising and I want a refund! Plus he’s an arsehole. So… what is wrong with me that I can’t stop thinking about him?

The Pixie and the Player is a full-length, romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the second book in the Rugby Series.

THE PIXIE
Lucy Fitzpatrick doesn’t like rugby.
As the little sister of Ireland’s most infamous rugby player, Lucy can’t seem to escape the championship-sized shadow cast by her big brother, or her mother’s frequent attempts to micromanage her future. Her rainbow hair is as free-spirited as her quest for inner peace, yet overbearing expectations keep bringing her down. And when she’s down, her compulsive little problem lands her in seriously big trouble.

THE PLAYER
Sean Cassidy is a cold-hearted brute… or so he’s been told. Frequently. By everyone.
His blonde locks, baby blues, and rock hard bod make ladies the world over drool with desire. As the rugby world’s second most infamous player, he should be basking in his success. But Sean has never been content settling for second place, and his frequent confrontations with Lucy’s big brother leave him cold. And when he’s cold, his compulsive little problem lands him in the lap of Lucy Fitzpatrick.

THE PLAN
Sean has a problem only Lucy can solve. Lucy has a problem only Sean can fix. The solution seems obvious: you scratch my back, and I’ll bail you out of jail. But when their business arrangement unexpectedly leaves Sean scorching hot and Lucy on the precipice of inner peace, can they convince the world—and Lucy’s big brother in particular—that this is the real deal?

Either way, both the Player and the Pixie are about to teach each other some pretty monumental lessons about family, life, but most importantly, love.

5++++ COLORFUL Stars*****

(ARC kindly provided by the lovely Penny Reid)

I couldn’t have possibly enjoyed this book more, even if I tried. Reading this story was the equivalent of book heaven for me. It was as good as if I had been on the beaches of Bora-Bora, drinking pink champagne and strawberries, while Brad Pitt (Legends of The Falls, version) was feeding me Nutella, YES! THAT GOOD!!!!

18550580._SY540_

Lucy Fitzpatrick is the sister of Ronan Fitzpatrick, Rugby superstar. She’s recently moved to New York to embark on a new career as a celebrity blogger. Lucy has always lived under the scrutiny of her mother, causing her anxiety and forcing her to find unhealthy coping mechanisms. Now that she’s far away from her mom, Lucy is looking for a clean slate, a new beginning into a life where she is free to live her life as she pleases.

Sean Cassidy is the black sheep of the Rugby team, he’s a very talented player but his over the top negative personality has caused the dislike of all the team members and especially Lucy’s brother, Ronan. Sean is gorgeous and he knows it. But his insensitive ways usually push away anybody who tries to get closer. So he lives a very lonely life, and he is okay with that until he meets the girl with the bright smile and rainbow colored hair.

18550581._SY540_

Lucy is feeling very conflicted because her attraction toward her brother’s nemesis is very intense. As it turns out the gorgeous and confident mountain of a man that is Sean Cassidy, is totally clueless about how to please a woman in bed.

Lucy can hardly believe that a guy who can kiss so good and passionately could be so bad in bed. Sean always knew he was bad at sex and romance, but the truth is that nobody ever stuck around long enough to give him a chance or a lesson. He is used to people only using him for their own benefit, but now for the first time in his life, he’s met a girl who he feels desperate to please.

So, what starts as two sort of friends, and a few erotic lessons, will turn into an addiction of one wanting to desperately give pleasure to the other. This delicious journey will prove to be a safe heaven for both Lucy and Sean, where acceptance, love and a lot of complications will consume their lives.

The beauty of this book centered in how flawed and real both of these characters were. The lesson, no matter who you are or what you look like, we all want love and acceptance. The Player and The Pixie is a story where the talent of each author is showcased and together as a team their writing style is completely unique and wonderful. You can’t tell when one’s words begin and the other one ends. Together L.H Cosway and Penny Reid are dynamite, and they have set out to set your heart on fire with this highly entertaining story.

We’d been in each other’s orbit for a week, so why did it feel like the end of something vital? Why did my bones ache at the thought of not being able to speak with her, touch her, or see her? Why did I become absurdly furious whenever I thought of her with someone else?

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS STORY!!!

e619ccc5f162df6e44f7bcc668fc3317

I’ve been having some really good luck lately with the books I’ve read. I can’t even begin to express just how much I loved this one right here!! I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning to finish it. THANK GOD FOR WEEKENDS!! I hope that the writing collaboration between L.H. Cosway and Penny Reid goes on for an eternity. These two are a perfect combination. This series is TOP NOTCH!!

I’m in love with Sean Cassidy!! I was crazy about Ronan Fitzpatrick but sorry to say, Sean has claimed my affections. He was undeservedly given a bad rep in The Hooker and the Hermit. Sean was abandoned by his mother at an early age. His aunt and uncle took him in, and he was often reminded of how he came from bad stock and was only appreciated for his athletic abilities. Sean may play the part of the bad ass player, but inside the man, beats the heart of a very insecure person in desperate need of some love and kindness. Sean also has a problem that will seriously shock you when you find out but it also makes him that more lovable as well. He’s never faced a challenge when it comes to the opposite sex until he crosses paths with the spunky and colorful pixie, Lucy Fitzpatrick. Lucy is Ronan Fitzpatrick’s little sister and Ronan happens to be the arch-nemesis of Sean.

Lucy has been living in New York City and working on the blog that her soon to be sister-in-law created. She’s been thriving in her new life in the big apple. Lucy has a little issue with shoplifting that she only seems to have the compulsion for whenever she interacts with her mother. They have a very toxic relationship. The relationship that a woman has with her mother really has a deep and lasting effect on her. I completely related to Lucy and understood her need to separate herself from that situation. While she is back in Ireland for a family visit, she gets that “need” to steal a little trinket from a drug store. Unfortunately to her utter dismay, she is caught in the act by none other than Sean Cassidy. He’s intrigued by her odd compulsion and blackmails her into going out to dinner with him. And so this is where the white-hot chemistry is sparked. Lucy knows Sean has to be off limits because it would be considered an act of betrayal by her older brother. As they spend time together Lucy will realize she’s got one huge dilemma on her hands.

Somehow, a few weeks later they end up running into each other at a yoga retreat in the mountains. I couldn’t wait for Sean and Lucy to get naked and sweaty!! When it finally happens, get ready for the unexpected!! I will say that it was a shocker but also refreshing. Once things start to really heat up, I couldn’t get enough of the schmexy. My tongue was seriously wagging!! Lucy and Sean both agree to keep things strictly physical, but as they spend more time together in and out of the bedroom, it becomes clear that they might be falling for the person they each are on the inside. They’re also huge dog lovers. That connection seemed to further strengthen the bond between them and proved that there was a tenderness inside of Sean.

I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading this book and felt it was perfect in every way. For those of you who haven’t read this one yet, I highly recommend it. Even though this could be read as a standalone, I think to fully appreciate this story, you need to read book one first.

Lucy Fitzpatrick is a free spirited 23 yr. old woman from Ireland. She moved to New York about six months ago to start her new job as a celebrity photographer/blogger. She is the sister of a wealthy famous rugby star. She adores her big brother Ronan, & often attends his various rugby functions. At one of his team get togethers, Lucy crosses paths with one of Ronan’s teammates named Sean Cassidy. Sean is Ronan’s rival. He’s arrogant and is known for his bad attitude, but his body is absolutely drool worthy, & women everywhere want a piece of him. Lucy can’t help feel a bit flustered herself when in his presence. He’s big, blonde, & gorgeous, and has the most amazing ass she’s ever seen! She knows he’s off limits, but still can’t help fantasizing about him.

Lucy is often stressed by her controlling mother & seeks relaxation & inner peace. She attends yoga retreats & likes to express herself through her appearance. When she can’t meet the expectations of her mother, & feels lacking, she often gives in to destructive compulsions. One evening when she’s at an all time low, she runs into Sean Cassidy, the last person she wants to witness her at her worst. Sean is intrigued with Lucy & wants to get to know her. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her, & realizes they both have something to offer one another, & he suggests an arrangement of sorts.

What starts out as a game soon becomes all too real, & they have to decide if they want to part ways, or become more. Sean has never been with a woman he truly wanted & Lucy has never had feelings this strong for a man. She see’s a kinder gentle side of Sean that melts her heart. I loved this book & this man so much! Reid & Cosway together are pure gold! One of the best books I’ve read this year! It was fun & sexy & just perfection!!! Everything I love in a book! Can’t wait for Bryan & Eilish’s book up next! 😀

-I couldn’t help thinking about the next time I would get my fix. Lucy Fitzpatrick was my drug of choice, and has quickly become a necessity. I had no desire to contemplate rehab.

-Sean + Lucy = Spectacular

Love isn’t always bright and shiny.

Sometimes, it’s dirty and wrong, buried six feet deep in a secret place where only wild things dare to go. Hidden behind a big black curtain that covers things no one should ever see.

Sometimes it happens between two people who should never be allowed to come together. One who is a match, and the other who just happens to be gasoline.

Even if it kills them.

FIVE DARK and BEAUTIFUL STARS**************

(ARC kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review)

I’m rating this book five stars but I wish I could really rate it 100,000!!!! I COULD HAVE READ THIS BOOK FOREVER AND EVER.

The Bad Ones is such a complex and unpredictable story, and it takes the reader to a whole new level of excitement and thrill. The sex, the love and the depravity that shaped this novel was so lively, I felt as if I was reading it with 3D glasses.

18681256._SY540_

Constantine Masters and Dulcie Travers are not your typical MCs. They knew each other in passing through school. He was the popular sports Jock and she was the introverted artsy girl, but one fateful afternoon their paths crossed and when they looked into each other’s eyes they saw the reflection of their own dark souls.

They both felt like they didn’t belong in the world that surrounded them, but when they are together and it’s just the two of them and they own the world.

18681287._SY540_

I really don’t want to say more because the best thing about this story was its unpredictability, the thrill of not knowing what Dulcie and Con were going to do next made my blood sizzle and my heart was almost beating out of my chest. The Bad Ones is probably one of the most outrageous and electrifying books I’ve read in a long, long time.

18681298._SY540_

Don’t just take my word for it, don’t wait, don’t hesitate;READ THIS BOOK!!!! I loved getting lost inside the pages of this beautifully dark story. Stylo Fantome’s words were intoxicating and so arousing to every single one of my senses and I really wish that everyone I know, gets to experience the amazing craziness that is The Bad Ones. Being bad never felt so good….

18601003._SY540_

Ivory is a seventeen-year-old piano virtuoso. Her father had been a very talented musician who died when Ivory was young, and the only thing he left her was the talent she carries in her DNA and a paid tuition to New Orleans’ most prestigious music academy.

Being in this very important school means Ivory has to attend class with the offspring of the elite members of society. This fact is a real hardship for her coming from a trailer park herself. She can’t afford the uniforms or school supplies and her brother and mother, Ivory’s only relatives, are hooked on drugs and are unable to help. Not that they would if they could because her family hates her and the only thing they have to give her is pain and bitterness.

So, from a young age Ivory has experienced abuse and brutality, and with time she’s had to learn to simply embrace the dark in her life and sometimes even use it to her advantage.

Emeric Marceaux is the new teacher in school. Not only is he a very important pianist, but he has looks and riches to spare. The reasons why he is the replacement for the last teacher seem obscure and when he walks through the halls of the academy, whispers and rumors follow him.

When he sees Ivory for the first time walking into his classroom, Emeric is blown away by her beauty but after learning about her life situation he understands how her beauty is both a blessing and a curse for the young woman.

He wants to be the dark savior that makes her life better, and Ivory wants to taste and experience the intensity in which he does everything. Secrets desires will be the daily bread for these two very complex characters, and together they will learn to play a beautiful and forbidden tune that could ultimately bring them to freedom or to their demise.

18601000._SY540_

Like I said before, I really enjoy the work of this author but in this particular case I just couldn’t get passed the fact that the heroine was seventeen years old, and while her hard life had made her mature quicker than most, I just felt too bad for her and ultimately couldn’t connect with the love story between Emeric and Ivory. It could also be that dark romance is not a genre I should read often, which is why I’ll be taking a break from it.

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

That’s when I hear it. The tempo of our breaths. The drum of our heartbeats. The crackle in the air. The exquisite cadence pulses through me, awakening sensations I’ve never felt, composing a melody I’ve never heard. Our hypnotic, dark notes. This is so much more than punishment or forbidden pleasure. She could never be a mistake.

teaser13

This was my first Pam Godwin book and I really loved her writing style and this story. I am not a huge fan of dark reads but I can tolerate them from time to time. While this was a dark read, I have to say that I’ve read stories that were far worse. This was a forbidden love story between a teacher and his beautiful and extremely gifted student. Student/teacher romances are one of my guilty pleasures and the steamier the better!! There was a tremendous amount of schmexy in this story and I am not ashamed to admit that I loved every dirty second of it.

Ivory Westbrook is a seventeen-year-old piano virtuoso, attending a prestigious High School for gifted students. She’s looking to get out of Treme and her horrible family home by getting a scholarship to the Leopold Conservatory of New York. The teacher that was going to write a letter of recommendation for her has been fired and the new teacher is the extremely gorgeous and notorious Emeric Marceaux. Rumors about him being into some kinky BDSM fuckery and his looks make him the living breathing fantasy of quite a few women in town. As soon as Ivory walks into his classroom, Emeric is bewitched. He tries to keep things platonic at first, but it doesn’t take long for him to give in to his desires.

portrait of a young couple kissing and hugging

Ivory has been living a nightmare for several years since the death of her father. She gets physically abused on a daily basis by her drug-addicted older brother and his low life best friend sodomizes her every chance he gets. This was hard for me to endure because I really detest rape in stories and it’s not only at home that Ivory is victimized, there are also some disgusting classmates who lust after her and force themselves upon her. I had a hard time with the fact that she was constantly placed in that victim role and I thought it was a bit too much.

What I did love was the intense and smoldering relationship between Emeric and Ivory. The sex was white hot but beyond that, the love that developed between them was what kept me so captivated by this story. I prayed that these two would be able to find their way to an HEA by the end of the story.

I wish I could have rated this a full five stars but I just had a few issues that I couldn’t overlook. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I highly recommend it!

-This girl…She’s my music, my place in this life, my part in it all.

-Everything about you is priceless and irreplaceable.

-I’m his Ivory, and he’s my darkest note.

-The exquisite cadence pulses through me, awakening sensations I’ve never felt, composing a melody I’ve never heard. Our hypnotic, dark notes.

-In the right hands, the piano can steal the soul. Clearly, his hands are made for the keys, because I don’t just feel the notes inside me. They devour me like a dark, voracious flame.

Couple indoors. Sensual brunette in black lingerie and handsome man kissing. Office romance concept

As their relationship develops, they build an incredible trust. Emeric is blindsided by the depth of his feelings for Ivory. No longer just a forbidden temptation, but an important part of his life, Emeric will do anything to keep Ivory safe & with him. Their are many risks for them being together, but they continue to be essential to one another’s happiness. I really enjoyed this one. It was a hot student/teacher romance. Ivory has her tragic life & then her dominant, passionate, kinky prince charming swoops in & steals her heart & changes her life for the better! Just LOVE Emeric!!! 😀

Two cousins. One girl. Someone wins. And someone loses.

Ginger's Heart 8

This is a story of three best friends since childhood and how their friendship is put to the ultimate test when love finds its way into their hearts. Cain and Josiah are cousins and Ginger is the little girl they loved and treated as a little sister until years later when they are teenagers, they see her in a different light. Yes, this is a love triangle, but from the very beginning, we know which cousin owns Ginger’s heart.

Josiah is the good cousin, and Cain is considered the bad boy. He hangs out with the wild crowd and he’s been with many women. Now who do you think the young heroine falls in love with? From the very beginning of the story, you will find it hard not to fall for the beautiful bad boy. Ginger just couldn’t help that her heart and soul belonged to Cain. But Josiah was the one Gingers’ parents wanted her to be with and he makes it clear early on to his cousin that he loves Ginger and will be staking his claim on her. Cain loves his cousin and believes that Josiah is the better man and deserves to be with Ginger.

Ginger's Heart 9

Unfortunately, Ginger wants the cousin she can’t have. When her heart is shattered she makes a bad decision and I really didn’t like her at this point. I understand that she was still a teenager and didn’t have the ability to make the mature decision but it still irked me.

Years later the cousin who walked away from their hometown comes back and feelings that were buried come back to the surface. When tragedy strikes will a chance at happiness be possible or lost forever??

This was one hell of a panty melting read and Cain was a swoon worthy hero. My one big complaint about this story was that it was told in THREE alternating POVs. Many times the same scene was played out in each character’s POV, which I found to be tedious and unnecessary. I wished that we just got the story in Ginger’s point of view and then maybe towards the end in the Cain’s.

In any case, I did love all the moments between Cain and Ginger and for that reason, I really did enjoy this one.

REVIEW – IN YOUR DREAMS (Falling, #4) by Ginger Scott

InYourDreams_Cover_Web

SYNOPSIS:

** Release date – March 29, 2016 **

Casey Coffield has a growing list of personal flaws he keeps locked away in his head:
He’s never on time.
His list of IOUs to his best friend is endless.
Money is always short.
Goals are never in reach.

Oh, and he’s decided to add college drop-out to that list, too. He doesn’t really think that last one’s such a bad thing, but his family insists it is, so it stays on the list.

On paper, he’s a zero. But in person, when he’s mixing tracks for a sea of bodies at the hottest clubs and parties, he’s downright irresistible. Just-right stubble on his chin, body of a boxer and a smirk that stimulates all the right nerves—women have never been a problem. They flock to his swagger and fall for his charm…fast.

All except for this one.

Purple hair, gray eyes, a raspy voice and sass, Murphy Sullivan is a little bit country and a little bit rock-n-roll. And her and Casey? They have history. He can’t remember it, but she wrote a song about him—and it’s not exactly a love song. But it is good. Damn good. And uncovering her inspiration just might be the key to solving a few of his shortcomings—not to mention open doors to his own big break in the music industry.

But sometimes dreams get messy when they collide. Sometimes life changes patterns. A past paints the wrong picture and futures get cloudy. The only question that remains is who will you choose when the dust settles—you? Or the girl of your dreams?

** This book is a Falling Series spin-off. It can be read as a standalone. **

4 Bright Stars****

(ARC kindly provided by Author in exchange for an honest review)

” I thought her singing was perfection. I thought no other sound could compare, but when she pants for me and cries with pleasure, I come undone.”

Very sweet and beautifully written story about how two very complex characters found each other through music.

18475572._SY540_

Murphy is a very talented musician that suffers from a lot of insecurities. When she was young she suffered from a speech impediment that caused her a lot of pain and humiliation throughout her high school years. Years later, she’s older and wiser but some of those insecurities still linger and have the power to freeze her up in front of large audiences.

Murphy has written a song as a way to rebel against all those struggles from her past. The song is amazing and is titled after a boy who used to make fun of her in school. It’s not long before someone posts a video of her playing the song on YouTube, catching the attention of a lot of people including Casey Coffield.

Casey lives and breathes music. Against his family’s wishes, Casey has decided to follow his own path. He is a Deejay and music producer with a dream of one day having his own record label. When Casey first hears the song titled after him, he recognizes the talent behind the music but he has no clue who the girl singing really is or why she’s singing about him; so he sets out on a mission to find her.

Casey will find a lot more than music when he meets Murphy. When these two characters cross paths again the collaboration will be flawed and yet so beautiful.

Ginger Scott has a talent for humanizing characters in such a way, that you can’t help but relate and connect with her stories immediately. Romantic and highly entertaining her books always become memorable lyrics that continue to play in your mind for days and days after you finished the book.

This book is a spinoff story from the Falling series but it can totally be read as a standalone.

In Your Dreams releases on March 29th and is available for pre-order on Amazon:

I’ll wish for you because wanting you isn’t enough and having you is too fleeting. And should we find ourselves apart, I’ll wish twice as hard, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll be lucky enough to run into you in one of our dreams.

597ba-inyourdreamsteaser2

This was a very slow to build read. At times, I thought that I was going to end up hating this one because I also wasn’t loving the hero during the first half of the story. He seemed to be very self-centered and I didn’t find anything attractive about him at all. But then things started to come together once he shows his vulnerable side. In the end, I really did enjoy this touching story.

Casey Coffield and Murphy Sullivan went to High School together but they ran with different crowds back then. Casey was the popular guy at school, who got all the babes and Murphy was barely a blip on his radar back then. But years later, Casey hears about a song Murphy wrote and performed at an open mic night, titled ”In Your Dreams Casey Coffield”, and Casey is determined to find out who this girl is. He actually loves the song and her voice and thinks he can help her break into the music business. He works for a big record producer and also wants to one day own his own recording studio.

InYourDreamsTeaser3

While Murphy remembers Casey from their High School days, Casey has no recollection of her. As they start spending more time together, Casey and Murphy begin to realize that what they have between them is a once in a lifetime deal. They may be from completely different worlds but they both share a deep love for music and seem to be made for each other.

There are some really heartbreaking moments as well. Casey has been on his own for several years after having been kicked out of his home by his father, who doesn’t approve of Casey’s decision to pursue a career in music. But now his family needs him and Casey is finding it hard to face reality. Murphy becomes his rock and in turn, Casey will sacrifice his happiness to ensure that Murphy gets her big break in the music industry.

The ending made my heart flutter and put a smile on my face. I definitely recommend one clicking this one.

REVIEW – NOBODY BUT YOU (Cedar Ridge, #3) by Jill Shalvis

SYNOPSIS:

SOMETIMES YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN…

After an overseas mission goes wrong, Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid knows where he must go to make things right: back home to the tiny town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado. All he needs to scrub away his painful past is fresh mountain air, a lakeside cabin, and quiet solitude. But what he discovers is a gorgeous woman living on a boat at his dock.

Sophie Marren has nowhere else to go. She’s broke, intermittently seasick, and fighting a serious attraction to the brooding, dishy, I’m-too-sexy-for-myself guy who’s now claiming her dock. Something about Jacob’s dark intensity makes her want to tease—and tempt—him beyond measure. Neither one wants to give any ground . . . until they realize the only true home they have is with each other.

Jacob Kincaid is an army special forces officer. After a mission goes wrong, he decides to take leave & head home to Cedar Ridge, Colorado. He wants peace & quiet and the comfort of family. The only problem is Jacob walked away from his family when he was 18, & hadn’t been back home since. He wants to make things right with his family, & he plans to start making amends first with his twin brother Hud. Jacob’s family lives in a small tourist ski town & they own the ski resort there. While he gets settled back into town, Jacob rents a small cabin on the lake just outside of town. His first day back in Cedar Ridge he has a run-in with a stunning, feisty redhead who manages to distract him from his own issues & makes him smile. This beautiful woman’s name is Sophie Marren. She’s recently divorced & is living on a boat on Cedar Ridge lake right in front of Jacob’s new dock. Sophie is trying to get her life back on track, but is a hot mess. She is quickly realizing taking he ex’s boat as payback is slowly just punishing her. Jacob & Sophie clash & connect, & sparks fly. She finds him hot as hell& he makes her feel sexy & wanted.

-“I’m really pretty vanilla.”

-“One of my favorite flavors,” he murmured.

-She was funny and light and…the highlight of his entire day.

Jacob & Sophie finally give in to their cravings for one another. It’s explosive & oh so delicious! Neither plans to let emotions or feelings get involved, but that doesn’t work out so well when they begin falling for each other. Suddenly Jacob wants more than a physical relationship & Sophie is scared after her last experience with her ex. They have to decide if they are going to take that leap for love, & at the same time deal with Jacob’s leave from the army coming to an end. I really loved this book! Jacob is so damn hot!!! Lol, I was swooning & giggling throughout. One of my favs by this author, & I’ve read most of her books.

-“You’ve wrecked me.”

-“I’m all yours.”

REVIEW – FOREVER PUCKED (Pucked, #4) by Helena Hunting

Profile portrait of businessman working on laptop in black suit at studio

SYNOPSIS:

Being engaged to Alex Waters, team captain and the highest paid NHL player in the league, is awesome. How could it not be?

In addition to being an amazing hockey player, he’s an incurable romantic with an XL heart, and an XXL hockey stick in his pants. And he knows how to use it. Incredibly, orgasmically well. Alex is the whole package and more. Literally. Like his package is insane. Total world record holder material.

So it makes complete sense that Violet Hall can’t wait to nail him down to the matrimonial mattress and become Mrs. Violet Waters.

It’s so romantic.

Violet is totally stoked to set a date.

Eventually. At some point. Likely before the next millennium. Or when Violet stops getting hives every time someone brings up the wedding, and their mothers stop colluding on stadium sized venues. Whichever comes first.

FABULOUS!!!!!!!

”I will always love you, Violet. I won’t ever be perfect, and I’ll make mistakes, and I’ll definitely say things that will make you angry, but I promise to tell you every day, not just with words, but with actions, that you are the center of my universe. You’re the sun in my sky and the breath in my lungs. I promise to be yours for every second of this existence, and to cherish every moment of that love with you.”

So this book was like an early birthday present for me!! I had only read PUCKED OVER previously and once I was lucky enough to get this ARC, I knew I had to read Violet and Alex’s first book so that I could truly appreciate this one. I’m so happy that I did and I just can’t say enough about how much I truly enjoyed this book!! I was torn between savoring and devouring it. Never did I once feel a lull in the story. I was engrossed from the first page to the very end of the epilogue.

Man hands take sexy woman buttocks in lingerie isolated

The series so far has been very light-hearted with a little bit of angst thrown in for good measure. Since Violet is such a silly and lovable heroine and Alex adoringly dotes on her and caters to her every whim, I thought I was in store for a laugh out loud and steamy ride, because let’s face it, the Beaver and Super MC can’t get enough of each other. BUT, be prepared for some serious drama in this one. It kind of hit me out of nowhere and actually I am wondering why I never thought such a thing would happen in this story. Needless to say, I shed a few tears during this installment.

the very muscular handsome sexy guy on dark grey background, naked torso

Violet and Alex’s wedding date hasn’t been set because she is deathly afraid of making a fool out of herself. She was involved in an embarrassing fiasco at her mother’s wedding and is certain history will repeat itself at her own wedding. And everything isn’t all roses and sunshine between them when Alex starts to tell Violet that she doesn’t need to work anymore since he makes plenty enough money to support her. She’s a very independent woman and her career is starting to take off, so Alex’s offer doesn’t sit well with her. Violet’s priorities will be seriously challenged when an incident threatens to tip her entire universe off its axis.

This story had it all – comedy, drama, and a plethora of STEAM!! This is one you will definitely want to pick up! The book goes live tomorrow!! If you haven’t read this series yet….WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!
