LOVED THIS ONE SO HARD!!!!

I don’t know where to even begin with my review on this book. I want to start off by saying that you can’t judge an author by only having read one book by them. I was one of the rare few that didn’t love BAD ROMEO. I actually kind of despised it. I decided that I wouldn’t bother to continue on with this series. A month ago, I received an email from the publisher, offering a Netgalley ARC of WICKED HEART. Not sure why I accepted it, but THANK GOD I DID!!!! This book was so addicting for me! It was seriously book crack!! I loved the story and I loved the characters. Most of all I fell pretty hard for Liam Quinn. He is nothing short of SPECTACULAR!! I am now wholeheartedly apologizing to Leisa Rayven for having doubted her writing ability and I am officially going to be fangirling over her when I meet her this summer!!

Lissa Holt is Ethan’s, from Bad Romeo, younger sister. She’s currently working as the Production Manager on the Broadway rendition of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. She’s about to come face to face with the man who obliterated her heart, Liam Quinn. He’s the male lead in the show and he’s the one guy she broke her ”no dating actors”rule for, six years ago. It has taken Lissa years to get over the heartache Liam caused but with just one look, all those feelings come rushing back. What’s worse is Liam’s co-star on the show, Angel Bell, is his fiancé and Lissa will be forced to witness their tender and loving gestures towards each other on a daily basis. When Liam finally crosses paths with Lissa, it is very apparent that she still has an effect on him and there is a tortured sadness in his eyes.

From there, we are brought back six years in the past, where these two first met. I loved the transition to the past because in this one we follow it all the way through. The author doesn’t alternate every chapter between the past and present. We get a few chapters in the beginning that are in the present and then we are transported back to the past and we don’t come back to present day until the whole story from how these two met and fell in love and then lost that love is totally explained to us. I LOVED how Lissa and Liam first met and how that first date ended made me weak in the knees. It’s just how I’d fantasize about meeting that once in a lifetime true love. I felt the butterflies in my stomach the entire time.

At the time that the two met, Liam was a construction worker and Lissa was a production manager on the set of the Broadway rendition of Romeo and Juliet. After their beautiful night together, Lissa refused to give her number to Liam. The girl was seriously NUTS!!! But she did mention that there were open auditions for the part of Romeo and Liam decides to give it a try. So this is how the two meet up again. Unfortunately, he gets the part and Lissa has a very strict rule about not dating anyone that she works with. For two months they have to endure the torture of seeing each other every day but not being able to be with each other. Let me just say I was in agony along with the two of them and HOLY HELL, on the night that the show is finally over when these two finally get together again, my freaking panties nearly disintegrated!!!! The sex is seriously EXPLOSIVE!! I was panting and just relieved that they were finally together, but it was bittersweet because Liam was off for Hollywood the next day. My heart hurt so much for the two of them.

I loved that there were some refreshing surprises in this one. Like I had expected to really despise Angel, but she ends up being a real sweetheart and it’s literally impossible to dislike this character. The angst was just on the verge of unbearable but it was oh so good!!! Even though I predicted what the true story was behind all the angst, it never did take away from my pure enjoyment of this book. Liam Quinn had my heart from the beginning and by the end I decided he is so worthy of being added to my top ten book boyfriends of all time list.

WICKED HEART is due out on May 16th. Don’t let this one slip through your fingertips. Get that one-click trigger finger ready ladies!! Liam is waiting for you!!! Even though this is book three in the series, it can be read as a standalone. So see, you have nothing standing in your way.

Lily is Luca’s little sister and she’s loved Jacob for as long as she can remember. The love and admiration she felt for her brother’s best friend her whole life, turned romantic as she grew older. Lily knows with every fiber in her being, that Jacob is her soulmate but he doesn’t see her as anything more than his friend’s baby sister.

Jacob is seven years older than Lily and even though he’s always had love and a fierce instinct to protect her, he can’t fathom the idea of admitting she’s something more to him. When Lilly becomes of an appropriate age, Jacob struggles with the attraction towards her, because the worse thing a guy can do to his best friend, other than to sleep with his woman, is to date his little sister, and Jacob can’t do that to Lucas. He makes partner in the firm and has a lot of money but the feeling of loneliness never went away, no matter how much opulence he achieved. He very well knows, he could never truly be happy without Lily in his life but after three years, can he go back and prove to her that she’s everything to him and he wants her forever, for real this time?

When Jacob comes back into her life Lily feels the need to protect her heart more than ever. She’s hesitant due to their tumultuous past and she’s determined not to make the same mistakes. They both needed the time apart, both of them have grown into the people they were supposed to be but something is always missing in the puzzle that is their lives. Will the final piece fit this time? Read this amazing book and find out!!!

This novel was so emotional, I cried and got my heart broken along with Lily and even though I was mad at Jacob more than once, I understood his reasoning and his struggles.

What I loved most about Forbid Me was Lily’s strength. Throughout her mother’s illness, Jacob’s hot and cold behavior, Lily always remained strong through it all. She didn’t allow her heartaches to define her. She was set out to do only what she wanted to do, no matter what anybody said. She was her own person and that quality was pretty inspiring to me. Hard times catch up to us all, and if in those moments we can find a little bit of Lily inside us, everything should be alright.

As we read their story we catch up with the rest of the boys and it’s impossible not to get excited about what’s more to come in this series. M.Robinson has created a group of characters with complicated stories that feel so real and as we learn more about them, they will each claim a piece of your heart.

As we walk along the streets of Oak Island and they become more familiar to us; it will be a place where we’ll cry, laugh and fall in love with the Good Ol’ Boys…

A must read series that has it all, romance, steam, and angst. I loved it!!!!

Samantha Towle is just one of those authors that never fails to write a story that sucks you in from the beginning and then leaves a lasting impression on you when you are done. I know that I’m going to fall in love with the Hero of the story and to expect enough angst to satisfy my sadistic side. When you read the synopsis you can’t help but fear how it all will end but once you start reading it’s really hard to put this one down.

Taylor Shaw is on a flight bound for London. She’s lost her entire family and blames herself for their demise. To top it all off, the brain tumor that she thought had been removed when she was sixteen has now resurfaced. This time, she decides to give up the fight and let the tumor take her so that she can be reunited with her family sooner rather than later. She believes this is her due penance. She’s going to London with her bucket list and plans on checking off every item on it within her two-week excursion. What Taylor didn’t count on was that the man sitting next to her on the plane would be the one to bring so much joy back into her life and make her want things she doesn’t think she has the right to have.

Liam Hunter is one sexy as hell Brit! He also happens to be a self-made billionaire. He owns the airline that the two are currently passengers on, along with a slew of hotels and other business ventures. As soon as he takes the seat next to Taylor, the attraction is palpable between them. Their connection is sealed with a seriously HOT kiss!!! Taylor, out of nowhere grabs on to Liam and lays one on him and it gets downright panty melting within seconds. I love British book boyfriends because they always seem to be skilled at the dirty talk and somehow pull it off without being the least bit creepy. He happens to see Taylor’s list on the floor and picks it up and begins to read it. One of the first things on the list was to kiss a stranger. Then there are a few very sexual items as well and Liam being the gentleman that he is, offers to be of service to Taylor in order to help her check off those items. Well, let’s just say the man delivers on all his promises!! The schmexy is seriously OFF THE CHARTS HOTand there is a ton of it, but never did I feel like it was overkill.

After their first night together, the two become inseparable. Liam seems to be so enamored of Taylor and vice versa. Liam makes it his duty to help Taylor to attempt to tick off all the items on her list. All the while Taylor struggles with her conscience, knowing that she doesn’t have long to live, but in her head, she rationalizes that the deep feelings that are starting to take over her heart are only one-sided. She believes that Liam is a player and will be done with her after the two weeks are up.

We get a few added gems in the form of Jake Wethers and The Mighty Storm, and Carrick Ryan. They all make an appearance in this book and it was a nice surprise. As Liam and Taylor spend more time together it’s apparent that this is not just an ordinary fling for either of them and the question is, will Taylor come clean about her illness before it’s too late or will she continue on with her charade and be bound for Boston after their two weeks are up???

Get ready to fall in love with this story and the incredibly swoon-worthy, Liam Hunter!! You’ll either be attacking your hubby, boyfriend, or BOB while reading this one and there will be times you’ll even shed a tear or two.

Shortly after recovering she lost her entire family. Now she suspects her tumor has returned, & she is preparing herself to die & finally be reunited with her family. She has given up on ever finding happiness again & is choosing not to get treatment. There are a few things she wants to do before she leaves this earth, so she makes a to-do list, & the first thing on her list is to go to England. She is going to make the most of her two weeks in England & then go home to accept what she believes to be her fate. On her flight, a beautiful stranger sits next to her. When he speaks with a sexy British accent, she decides maybe he could be “her” sexy stranger. She decides to go for it, & check mark kiss a stranger off her list.

This total hotness sitting next to Taylor is businessman Liam Hunter. Liam is on his way home to London & invites Taylor to spend some time with him & offers to help with completing her list. Some of these things on her list are pretty naughty & others not so much. As they conquer her list, Taylor is experiencing so much & having a ball. She hasn’t laughed this much in four years. Her heart begins to feel lighter as she grows closer to Liam. Real feelings develop & this scares Taylor. She doesn’t want complications, & things with Liam are feeling very complicated. She is falling for him & that was never part of the plan.

-Liam is beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like him in my life.

-I like you, Liam Hunter. And I love what you do to me. How you make me feel.

-I feel alive. For the first time in a really long time, I feel alive. And it’s because of him.

Suddenly she has it all & is wanting things she can’t have. This beautiful man adores her & wants to give her the world. He wants a life with her & has no clue about her secrets she’s keeping & is totally in the dark about her plans. Taylor has to decide if the ending she wants for herself is still the same, or if she wants to try to have a future with Liam. This book was fantastic! I always love Samantha Towle’s writing. She’s one of my go to authors. This book was full of emotion, angst, excitement, humor & love. I really enjoyed it & ADORED Liam!!! This sexy Brit is absolute perfection! 😀

Austin became my favorite boy. With each book, each boy had a special place in my heart, but Austin conquered. I got high with his story. I fantasized and hoped hard for him. I wanted to scream at him, hug him and fix him, but as I discovered more about him and the beautiful way he loved Briggs, I accepted his flaws and became completely obsessed with him. A heart pounding, sweaty palms, damp panties kind of story. Author M. Robinson takes the cake with this one; I freaking LOVED IT!!!!!! So, OF COURSE, I highly recommend it.

Not only did I fall in love with Austin and Briggs, but also with Brigg’s uncle, Alejandro. The sexy Colombian mafia boss, that has a black heart, the body of an adonis and super alpha personality. That ending left me panting and craving more. I need this author to hurry up and write more,PLEASE!!! (Yes, M. Robinson, I am begging)

Andie Foster is a 21 yr. old woman from Vermont. She moves to L.A. to train for the Olympics. Andie is the goalkeeper for USA’s women’s national soccer team. She takes being an athlete seriously. She has dedicated her life to the sport she loves & had made the necessary sacrifices. This means she hardly has a social life outside of her teammates & preparing to compete on an Olympic level leaves very little time for dating. It’s been months since she’s been with a man, so she’s looking forward to the Olympic games that’s going to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She’s heard the gossip that there are plenty of hook ups at the Olympic village. Andie hasn’t ever been much into partying, but she’s excited to finally have some fun. She’s decided since she’ll be in Rio for about a month, she isn’t going to waste this experience. She’s going to make some memories she’ll never forget!

Andie arrives in Rio ready to win gold for Team USA & also ready to mingle & see what excitement she can find in the village. Her first day there she crosses paths with a sexy swimmer for Great Britain who already has multiple gold medals & is back for his 3rd games. His name is Frederick Archibald & every woman at the games is hot for Freddie. She soon learns this British hottie is unavailable & complicated. She decides he’s off limits to her, but then continues to run into him everywhere she turns.

She gave up on a love life to play soccer on a professional level, so she gives herself a pep talk that she needs to stay away from beautiful men with sexy British accents & just focus on soccer & the games. As Freddie becomes totally enchanted & intrigued with Andie, he pursues her & it gets harder to stay away from him. They become closer and a friendship develops & eventually it turns into so much more. With Andie living in L.A. & Freddie’s life being in London, they have to decide what they are going to do with these feelings they have for one another. Add family drama into the mix & you get plenty of angst. I really loved this book! It was my first I’ve read by this author & now I need to find time to binge read all her other books. I have seriously been missing out! R.S. Grey’s writing is fabulous! Sexy, full of humor & captured my attention from the start. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I really hope we get a book for Thom & Georgie too! 😀

There’s nothing better for me than a truly original story. You gotta love Jettie Woodruff for never following a recipe and for only going by what her heart tells her. Her stories are bold, unique and always highly entertaining. Jaq with a Q is going to my top favorites shelf.

Jaq has been living in a mental institution for a few years , she feels safe there, with her doctors and all her medications. She’s eighteen now and her social worker and the state have decided it’s time for Jaq to go out into the real world and start living like any normal girl her age. No matter what Jaq wants or says, nothing can stop her departure from the center.

The problem is Jaq doesn’t feel like she’s normal, she’s scared of everyone and everything, she can’t survive on her own. After a few days, full of fear and feeling helpless , she decides that her best route would be to hire someone to end her life. She calls a phone number she got for a contract killer, Oliver because she’s scared of trying to do it herself.

Oliver is completely bored with his life, after many careers and many jobs, he still has no clue what he wants to do with his life. Nothing and no one holds his attention. He does have a passion for science and reading but even those pleasures can’t fill the void inside his heart. One day he receives a strange phone call from a girl that is desperate to die, she’s looking for someone to kill her. From their conversation, Oliver gets a sense of determination. Unexplainably he finds himself desperate to know everything about this girl, and the reason as to why she’s so unhinged. He wants to study her and ultimately help her.

Ollie puts his computers skills to work and finds her. He finds a very beautiful and strange girl, whose eyes hold desperation but also a secret. Something that sparks something inside him, something he can’t explain but also can’t walk away from.

Little by little, day by day, Ollie starts to win Jaq’s trust. He’s also designed a plan to help her. He is convinced that if he can take Jaq to his father’s country house, and find his scientific journals, he can find a way to reduce her medication intake and guide her to the road of recovery, where she can finally live her life without fear and phobias.

As impossible as it may seem, what starts as a sort of scientific project, turns into a friendship, where lust finds its way, turning their relationship into something much more deep and meaningful. Even though Ollie had a life, a job, and normalcy, he was just as lonely and lost as Jaq. She gave him purpose, with all her crazy and all her pain. He found a connection unlike anything else in the world.

Can love be the cure? Would tender love and care be all Jaq needs to learn to live a life free of pain and fear?

I am so in love with this book! So raw, so different from anything else out there. I loved how I had no clue where each turn would take me. I felt desperate for more and hopeful from the beautiful love story. I felt their connection, their love, and their craziness as if it was my own. The ending left me a little confused but I know the author is just letting us simmer while she cooks something even more intense and I’m sure I’ll be delighted with anything she serves me, because like I’ve said before, Jettie Woodruff writes the kind of books I want to read.

I don’t know why but every time I hear of a romance with a porn star, my interest is piqued! This is the first one I’ve read where the tropes are friends to lovers and second chance romance Two of my all-time favorites!!

Tyler Westbrook once had a very bright future ahead of him. He had a full scholarship to NYU with plans in majoring in Law. But when Tyler moves to New York, he ends up partying too hard and loses his scholarship. Now he’s living in Los Angeles and is desperate to find a job that pays well. He’s been stripping at Male Revue and a customer, who happens to be a porn star, suggests that he meets up with her producer. Tyler ends up interviewing with the producer and lands the job. He never thought in a million years that his life would end up this way. He’s not exactly proud of what he’s become.

Jemma is an actress on a popular children’s tv show. A sex video of her and her ex-boyfriend, who is a famous rock star, ends up going viral, which also results in getting her fired. She’s desperate to find a new job but the stigma from that sex video follows her everywhere and roles become scarce for Jemma. She ends up interviewing for a job as a personal assistant for a very popular Porn Producer. He also happens to be Tyler’s boss. Coincidentally, Tyler and Jemma were childhood friends who became so much more during high school. They were each others first everything.

The two actually cross paths at a nightclub first and instant chemistry ignites. After getting totally plastered, Jemma goes back to Tyler’s place and these two have the HOTTEST time between the sheets ever!! But the next morning Jemma runs off and plans on never seeing Tyler again since he broke her heart into pieces all those years ago when he went off to college and stopped all communication with her. She’s in for a rude awakening when on her first day at work she gets to witness Tyler in action. It throws her for a loop but also enrages her because he failed to tell her that he was a porn star.

Tyler and Jemma are still very much in love with each other but how can they pick up where they left off when Tyler is a porn star and doesn’t plan on quitting anytime soon? Can Jemma overlook the fact that Tyler will be having sex with many other women while being in a committed relationship with her??

I really enjoyed this one, except for the unexpected MM scene that got thrown in there. MM is not my cuppa at all so I cringed a little when that bit crept into the story. It’s really a short blip, but still I could have done without it. I will say there is a funny scene towards the end having to do with MM that I did enjoy and at the same time it made me love Tyler more. This was a really short and entertaining story. Definitely worth one-clicking.

My goodness, what a roller coaster ride of a book. I’ve really enjoyed every installment in this series, but Deception is probably my favorite thus far. Nox blew me away with his passion and charm and it’s always so endearing when you see an Alpha male hero like him, open up and show his more vulnerable side. What a fantastic book, I loved it!!!

I have to say that my most favorite thing about this author is her creativity and her talent to throw the reader for a loop. You never know what you are going to get when you open an Aleatha Romig novel. I loved learning more about the secondary characters in this story. In the beginning, I had nothing but hate for both Charli’s mother and Nox’s father. But in this part of the story, we discover the truth behind some of the secrets and I hate to say it but, sometimes, villains can also be victims. I think each person who reads this will have a different opinion in whether to understand or condemn the actions of these characters. Not to say that I have suddenly forgiven them for their cruelty, but I guess I can understand them better and that certainly added depth to this already intriguing series.

In this story, every character is so complex and there are so many layers to the Deception that it’s very hard to decipher what is going to happen next or even who to trust. Both families are so deep in the lies, that I honestly can’t see how we’ll get to a conclusion without our hearts getting broken in the process. I’ll leave it to the author to continue to deliver more thrilling entertainment.

Finally, I want to talk about the Everest size cliffhanger, a total jaw dropper, but I’m not going to lie, it actually makes me want to go back and re-read all these books again, in search of more clues. I love the mystery and the sensuality of these novels. A total winner for me, just what the doctor ordered.

Now reunited, Hemy is the closest person to Sage, & the one she counts on. She has also become close to her roommate Stone Ridge. Stone is a stripper at The Walk of Shame & sexy as hell! For a while, they agree to a friends with benefits type of arrangement. They have sex just for fun & pleasure until Stone decides he wants more, & Sage realizes she’s depending on him & starting to care. She gets scared & decides they can only be strictly friends. After a year of the best sex of her life, they stop sleeping together & Sage begins avoiding Stone.

Stone is just Sage’s roommate but still turns her on just being in the same room. It’s getting harder to resist him & becoming impossible to live with him & not want to rip his clothes off. They stopped messing around about seven months ago, & not being physical with Sage is also pure torture for Stone. He’s crazy about her & decides he’s tired of this new arrangement. He wants more, & he can’t pretend he doesn’t have feelings for her when she’s the only woman he wants. Women everywhere are throwing themselves at him, but all he see’s is Sage. He’s fallen hard for her & is ready to make it clear to her how he feels.

Sage is not used to counting on people. Her past has taught her people will only disappoint her & leave, so she distances herself before she can get hurt. Stone decides to be patient with Sage & will do whatever it takes to make her his. I loved Stone so much! He was totally swoon worthy! I have really enjoyed this whole series! I adored the 1st generation books in The Walk of Shame series & am equally as excited for the 2nd generation of Walk of Shame men! 😀

-That woman does something to me that I can’t fight. And it turns me on like nothing else…

-As hard as I fight it, I can’t help but to adore everything about Stone.

-She means something to me and I want to find out just how much.

-Damn…that woman is everything I want.
