It has been a while since I’ve read a Rock Star romance and all I can say is that I am left wanting to read more of this genre. I’ve read some that didn’t quite hit the mark and then others that just blew me away, and I would definitely place IDOL in the ”Blown Away” category. I have been a big fan of Kristen Callihan since reading her very popular Game On series and just knew I was in for a treat with this one. I’m beginning to think that this woman can do no wrong!!! I’m HOOKED on this series and I need the next book like YESTERDAY!!

Liberty Bell is a young woman who lives the life of a recluse on a tiny island off the Outer Banks in North Carolina. She lost both of her parents in a car accident over a year ago and has spent every day since on the family farm she inherited. Liberty has a job that allows her to work from home and she has very little contact with the outside world and prefers it that way. Something life changing is about to crash into Libby’s life in the form of a six foot tall Rock God named Killian James.

Killian is the lead singer & guitarist of the biggest rock group in the industry, called Kill John. The group has been on a sabbatical for the past year after tragedy hits too close to home for them. In a drunken haze, while riding his motorcycle, Killian ends up crashing into Libby’s front yard fence and passes out on her lawn, covered in his own vomit. He definitely does not make a good first impression with Libby. She actually doesn’t even recognize him and gives him her little spitfire attitude for damaging her property and for riding his motorcycle while intoxicated. She does eventually take pity on him and nurses him back to health from his hangover. They soon find out, much to Libby’s dismay, that Killian is her new neighbor. He rented the vacant house next door in order to unwind and escape all the drama and paparazzi. The guys in the band are trying to write material and get back together but Killian has lost his love for the music. Libby will actually be the key to bringing the music back into Killian’s heart.

As they spend more time together Killian and Libby realize that their feelings for each other run deeper than they ever thought possible, and when Killian discovers Libby’s musical talent it sparks his passion for music again. They spend a short time living in their beautiful bubble away from the outside world but soon enough Killian will be forced to leave their secluded oasis and head back to the recording studio with his band. He wants Libby to come with him and perform on stage a few of the songs they wrote together, but her crippling fear of performing in front of an audience and her hermit tendencies force Killian to begrudgingly leave her behind. When the distance between them becomes impossible to bear, Killian does succeed in getting Libby to leave her cocoon and fly off to NYC to be with him again. He even gets her to overcome her fear of performing.

Will the limelight and friction with some of the members of the band create a rift between Killian and Libby? Or will their secrecy regarding their relationship and her rise to fame threaten to break the couple apart?

This was one seriously addictive and refreshing spin on the Rock Star romance genre. I loved that the Heroine was just as gifted a musician as the Hero was and that their love for each other was so selfless that they would sacrifice anything for the sake of each other’s music career. But there was a time or two when I wanted to slap the both of them for being so completely dense!!

This is just the first in the VIP series by Kristen Callihan and you would think that the next installment would be about another band member but it isn’t and I am so thrilled!! Next up we will be getting the band manager’s story in MANAGED!!! He is described as the most beautiful man, definitely better looking than anyone in the band and a doppelganger to the one and only man that owns my heart completely, DAVID GANDY!!!!!! ROLL ON BOOK TWO!!!!

Griff gets a little excitement in his life when his old college hook-up Audrey Kidder shows up on his doorstep. Audrey is a trained chef in Boston who works for a big restaurant group that wants to put fresh produce in their restaurants. They send Audrey to Vermont to negotiate prices with the farmers.

Audrey is surprised when she comes face to face with the gorgeous football player she was so hot for back in college. She hasn’t seen Griff in five years, but she still remembers every delicious thing he did to her body. The spark between them is still there, & when they finally surrender to their lust for one another they are just as compatible physically as they were before. Their connection is so strong & they can’t seem to get enough of each other.

Griff never thought he would have time for a girlfriend with his demanding schedule, but he’s starting to see a future with Audrey. This was a sexy fabulous book! I really enjoyed it & look forward to reading more in this series.

He didn’t even remember what a time in his life before Andrea was like. He’d been a kid. She was his entire adult life. She was the girl at every event. She was the girl he would come home to. Without her, what the hell am I supposed to do?

Die-hard K.A. Linde fans are going to really enjoy this one! She always delivers the kind of gut-wrenching angst that I crave for in my romance stories. I actually only read book one in this series and I’m not at all sure why I didn’t pick up the other books, but that being said, I had no problems following and completely loving this one! I do suggest that you read the previous books because you’ll want to experience all the trials and tribulations that Brady and Liz go through.

The story centers around Brady’s younger brother. Clay Maxwell has always lived in the shadow of his big brother, and he has resented him for many years. All he has ever wanted was to get the same attention and approval that his father so easily doled out to Brady. Clay has been labeled the bad boy and he couldn’t be more proud of that title. He likes his women loose and he shows them to the door when he’s had his way with them. There is only one woman who has withstood the test of time and that’s Andrea Billings. They met when they were both thirteen during one summer getaway at their parents’ vacation homes in North Carolina, and had been the best of friends ever since. When they end up attending the same college years later, they take their relationship to the next level. Their arrangement is very open and it has worked for them. Neither Clay nor Andrea wanted to be tied down and so they agreed to be each other’s person but when apart they were free to sleep with other people. This worked for about ten years until one crazy incident puts things into perspective for Andrea and she’s realizing that their arrangement no longer works for her. She wants a FOREVER kind of love with Clay.

Andrea tries to open up her heart to Clay but he has his head so far up his arse, he truly believes that they have the perfect setup and he can’t fathom the thought of being monogamous. Gut-wrenching angst ensues and I ate up every juicy bit of it. Also, it goes without saying that there is a healthy dose of steam in this story that will have your temperatures rising ladies! K.A. Linde never fails when writing the schmexy!! She also has a knack for creating seriously douchey Heroes that you can’t help but fall in love with despite their idiotic tendencies. I loved Jack in theAvoiding series and I definitely didn’t have a hard time falling for Clay Maxwell. He was utterly clueless and a Grade A jerk most of the time but somehow he won this reader’s heart over rather quickly.

I’m not normally into the dark reads. That’s not to say that I haven’t read my fair share but I mostly tend to eat up ROMCOMs and Sports themed romances. Well, this book right here has me not only wanting to dive heavily into this genre, but it also has given me a new author to obsess over. All I can say is that K. Webster is a freaking mastermind!! She delivered one hell of a story that had me on the edge of my seat and in the end feeling things for a certain heinous character that has me wondering if maybe I have lost my mind!!!

This is definitely not a hearts & flowers story and if you do not like taboo subject matter or violent rape scenes, then you should probably avoid this one. I do believe that you need to go into this one knowing as little as possible, so I will try to keep spoilers out of this review.

Nadia Jayne is a beautiful young woman who has just moved with her mom and stepfather from Argentina to the U.S. Her stepdad is Donovan Jayne, a seriously HAWT and sexy as hell Billionaire, who tends to get a bit flirty and inappropriate with Nadia. Let me just say this guy had my panties melting and I definitely was hoping for some hanky panky times between Nadia and Donovan. So, if that makes me a Pervy Perverson then I happily will accept that title!! Unfortunately, Nadia’s life is about to get a whole lot of complicated and scary when a girl she befriends at the school bus stop is abducted right before her eyes. Nadia is knocked unconscious by the kidnapper and when she wakes up, she has a hard time remembering details that could help the police find her new friend, Kasey. Nadia feels so very guilty and responsible for what happened and wracks her brain every day, trying to remember the events that led up to the kidnapping.

Soon she goes off to college and then Nadia is the next young woman to disappear. Her stepfather, Donovan, is driven to madness trying to find her. We get yummy and heartwarming flashbacks of cherished moments spent between the two. Three years later, Nadia turns up and is almost arrested for driving recklessly through town by a local officer named, Kasper Grant. Kasper happens to be the older brother of the girl who was kidnapped and boy does he have a lot of hatred for Nadia. He blames her for the kidnapping and not being able to help find his sister. Unfortunately for him, the Chief of Police, Logan Baldwin, shows up at the scene and tells Kasper to let Nadia go. Turns out, Nadia is engaged to Logan. Kasper is definitely not letting the fact that Nadia is engaged to Logan, get in the way of his need for revenge. He will soon learn that things are not at all what they seem.

Nadia seems to have a terrible knack for attracting the wrong type of men, and her life with Logan is seriously all kinds of f’d up!! Logan is well known and respected in town, but the guy is into some hardcore BDSM. I wanted to kick this guy in the jewels many times and wished that Nadia would just leave him.

I tried to use my sleuthing skills but in the end, I didn’t figure it all out. I think this author is a masterful storyteller and she threw me for one hell of a loop when all was said and done. She definitely has one sick and demented creative mind!! And to make my heart warm up to a certain someone by the time I finished the book is truly proof that this author has some serious writing capabilities!

It was almost as if by admitting she’d been afraid of him pulling back, she strengthened the bond between them. Emotion was now involved, and she was caught up in the intricate web of pure want and need for Caleb Pierce.

After having finished this story, I’m asking myself why it’s been so long since I’ve picked up a Jennifer Probst book??!! I loved the Marriage to a Billionaire series so much. All I can say is that Ms. Probst has another solid winner in this Billionaire Builders series!!

This series centers around three brothers who have just inherited the family business but with a stipulation attached. They must work together for a full year and in that time turn a profit, otherwise, they lose the company. Each brother has a specific talent in the construction/carpentry industry and at one time they were the best of friends but when tragedy fell upon the family six years ago, they all went their separate ways. Caleb Pierce was the only brother that stayed in Harrington to run Pierce Brothers Construction with their father. Now he must find a way to get his brothers, Tristan, and Dalton to work with him to keep the business in the family. He lands a huge job that he wasn’t exactly happy about taking but soon his life is about to get so much more interesting because the interior designer that hired him, is a Southern belle and spitfire, named Morgan Raines.

Morgan is Hollywood’s most sought after interior designer. She has been hired to build the vacation getaway of the latest celebrity ”IT” couple, in the town of Harrington. She has heard that Pierce Brothers Construction is the best of the best, and will stop at nothing to hire them to build her clients’ dream house. I loved that she has the same obsession for potato chips as me!! She suffered a great loss when she was just a teenager and it has left a lasting impact on her life.

Caleb and Morgan realize that there’s no way they can ignore the attraction they have for each other so they agree to spend time together through the duration of the project and then go their separate ways when it’s over. Will they be able to walk away when the project is finished? Will Morgan’s secret have Caleb running for the hills?

Get ready to fall in love ladies!! Each Pierce brother is sexy as hell and will steal your hearts when you meet them. I’m so looking forward to getting more of this delectable series!!

This story contained two of my favorite tropes – second chance romance & romance with the older brother’s best-friend. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series and was anxious to get my hands on this one, but in my opinion, the first one is still my favorite.

Ainsley Andrews is the little sister of Ryan, the hero of book one. She works in the local library and lives with her brother and his girlfriend. Ainsley hasn’t been out with too many men. Things tend to fall apart whenever sex is introduced in her relationships. Something very traumatizing happened to her when she was a young girl and now she has this condition called vaginismus. Her vagina doesn’t open up and no man has been able to succeed in the penetration department. So here I was rolling my eyes because I have never heard of such a thing, but yes ladies, it is REAL!!!!

Lambo Christie is one of Ryan’s college buddies and he’s had an attraction for Ainsley for quite some time. The feeling is very mutual. They met once at a fraternity party. Lambo thought she was a college coed. He had no idea she was only sixteen and that she was Ryan’s little sister. Things got a little heated but quickly ended when Lambo discovered who Ainsley was. Years later they end up together at Ryan’s wedding in Vegas. One thing leads to another and Lambo learns of Ainsley’s sad predicament and offers to help her fix it.

Ainsley and Lambo secretly carry on a purely physical relationship for quite a while. Ainsley’s afraid that her over protective brother will flip if he learns that she’s been messing around with Lambo. But as they spend more time together, deeper feelings begin to develop and Lambo has his hands full with trying to convince Ainsley that he wants to take their relationship to the serious level.

I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. Lambo was thirty but seemed to behave like an immature teenager. I just didn’t get what was so attractive about this man. Ainsley definitely had a ton of issues but I wish she had been a stronger heroine.

Overall the story was ok but just didn’t wow me like THE LESSONS had.

When I saw that Lauren Layne had a new series coming out, I was so excited. She is one of my go-to authors. Her stories always leave me with a smile on my face. This series will revolve around a group of women who run New York’s elite wedding agency called the Wedding Belles. This first novella is a second chance romance story that centers on Leah Mchale, a photographer that the Belles tend to hire on a frequent basis.

Leah is still licking her wounds from a relationship that went South almost a year ago. Little does she know that she is about to be forced to work closely with the man who is responsible for breaking her heart. Jason Rhodes has also been hired by the Belles to cover the same wedding. There is definitely a lot of animosity between them, more so on Leah’s end. Jason, however, still has strong feelings for her and knows for a fact that Leah misjudged a situation completely but didn’t clear things up for her because she basically just dismissed him and dodged all his attempts at contacting her. Jason has had a long history of being left behind and Leah’s actions really hurt him deeply.

The story is pretty short but other than that, I just felt there was something missing. I really couldn’t feel a connection to Leah and Jason. That being said, I’m still looking forward to the next book as I am a diehard Lauren Layne fan!!

Reading this book was like going on an awesome vacation, 370 pages of good times. Everything I look for in a story; romance, entertainment and lots of laughter.

Jethro provided the swoon and Sienna the spice, making Grin & Beard It a tasty story. Impossible to forget.

Jethro is the oldest of the Winston brothers. He has a bit of a dark past; always craving his father’s approval, he followed his daddy’s footsteps into the thug life. But for the past five years, he has been walking on the straight and narrow, trying to earn his family’s trust and forgiveness.

Sienna Diaz is the most famous, funny, plus size, actress/writer in show business right now. The Latina has achieved a lot of notoriety as the creator and performer of a string of very successful films. Her latest project has her lost in the smoky mountains of Tennessee.

As a Latina woman and a Penny Reid super fan, when I learned she was giving Jethro Winston a Mexican woman as his love interest, I was both excited and nervous. Excited because not a lot of authors write books with a Hispanic heroine, and nervous because not all take the time, and do the research to do it accurately . So I’m very happy to report that Penny, nailed it! She created yet another character in Sienna, that celebrates women and our diversity. Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter where you are from, what size you are, or what color is your skin, we all have insecurities, and we all just want to be loved.

Sienna was so funny, so strong and so endearing, that any woman reading this book can relate to her. And Jethro, well… What can I say about my darling Jethro? He is even more sexy, dreamy, rugged and delicious than I ever thought possible. Oh… and the man can seriously flirt, almost every word out of his mouth had me blushing and giggling, like a silly girl.

This series keeps getting better and better. I’m so in love with the Winston brothers, that I wish there were more of them, I seriously can’t get enough. Each character is so funny, beautiful and unique, they are impossible not to love. Do yourself a favor and read these books. Let the enchanting words of Penny Reid take you away to a place, where love and laughter fill your heart and leaves you smiling for days and days.

He doesn’t want his scandalous past to impact her future, & he also worries they may not be looking for the same things. He is looking for his forever & to settle down, & isn’t sure if Sienna is looking for something temporary or something more serious. He tries to put on the brakes, & put some distance between them, but feisty Sienna isn’t having that. This couple has to decide if they will go public with their relationship. I loved this book so much! It’s full of laughter and romance. Jethro Winston is just such an incredible man! I liked how he knew what he wanted & wouldn’t settle for less. I adore all these brothers & look forward to reading all their books!

I loved the writing style. I loved how complex and unique the characters were. Both Gavin and Ellie are very strong but they fit so perfectly together. I was equally enthralled by both main characters. This book was a perfect read for me, had a lot of romance, tons of kinky passion and the political background added a certain elegance to the story that served as the cherry on top for a story that almost melts in your mouth. The The Prime Minister was PERFECTION!!!

From the moment the buzz started to spread on social media regarding this book, I had been dying to get my hands on it and boy did it deliver on so many levels. I haven’t felt so utterly turned on by a story in a while. Ladies, get ready to have your worlds rocked by Mr. Gavin Strong, Prime Minister of Canada!!

Ellie Montague, a grad student at the University of Ottawa, has landed the most prized internship in all of Canada. She will be working at the headquarters of the Prime Minister. She’s just a little bit giddy over her new opportunity as she has a serious crush on the PM, not unlike most of the female population of Canada. On their first meeting, sparks are definitely flying, but Gavin tries to reel in his feelings because of his role in government, their age difference, and more importantly, his kinky sexual nature. The PM of Canada is into the BDSM scene. He’s not into the hardcore aspect but he most definitely likes to be in control and loves to dole out a spanking when the mood calls for it!! The Prime Minister likes to get his kink on and is one seriously giving lover. There was one scene in particular, a menage, that will remain in my memory for quite some time. Not only did I love Gavin for his baser sexual side, but I also loved him for his tenderness towards Ellie. He was always trying to protect Ellie from the celebrity of his role as the Prime Minister.

The one challenge to their budding relationship is how it will be portrayed by the media and the effect on Gavin’s government standing. It is actually Ellie who worries the most of how her relationship with Gavin could cause serious damage and feels that they should hold off from going public. Surprisingly enough, Gavin is not of the same mindset as Ellie. He’s crazy about her and does not want to hide his relationship because she has become a very special and important part of his life.

This was my favorite by Ainsley Booth and it’s my first time reading anything written by Sadie Haller, but she is now an author that is on my radar. These two are an incredible writing duo. I only wished that we got just a little more out of the ending. I am still left wanting more of Gavin and Ellie’s story, but the next book will be about Max, Gavin’s best friend. I know Max’s story is going to be melting panties everywhere as he is also into the BDSM scene and is kinkier than the PM, and the wait is going to be excruciating!!

She knows it’s inappropriate to want him the way she does, but just the sight of him sets her on fire.

Gavin is intrigued by his lovely new intern. He tries to keep things professional, but wonders what it would be like to introduce this beautiful redhead to his kinky side. She’s a scandal he can’t afford, but he decides to risk it, & go after what he so desperately wants. They finally give in to their desires & begin a secret affair. Gavin just can’t stay away from Ellie. He’s never wanted a woman the way he wants her.

He cares about his country & the greater good, but he isn’t willing to lose Ellie. He will do whatever it takes to be with the woman he now sees a future with. He begins wooing her & is totally swoon worthy.

-I can read him like a book. He doesn’t want to cross the line. And he wants to cross it so much it hurts.

I really enjoyed this story & can’t wait for more in this series. Bring on Max & Lachlan! This book was both sexy & deliciously dirty. Just fantastic!!! 😀
