Wide Open Spaces was a beautiful and at times heartbreaking story of first love and second chances. Again, I decided to read a book from yet another author whose books I have just never had the time to get around to and all I can say is that I understand why Aurora has such a huge following. I devoured this book in one sitting. The story captivated and held me prisoner for an entire Sunday afternoon. I’m trying to figure out how to carve some time in my busy ARC reading schedule to fit in some more books by this talented author.

The story opens up during an incredibly poignant moment between the two main characters. Zach and Shelby were High School sweethearts and so deeply in love but life threw them a curveball—Shelby ended up getting pregnant. They were both too young and not in a place where they could provide for their baby, so they decide to give him up for adoption. This rocks the both of them to their core. Shelby, however, decides that leaving their hometown in Alaska and moving to Seattle, was what she needed to do in order to get over the loss. So the young lovers have seemingly been torn apart. Until Shelby comes home fifteen years later, but she brings her ten-year-old son with her.

Shelby is recently divorced from her husband and decides that going back to live in the house her grandfather left her, is a good move for her and her boy. To her surprise, she discovers that the man who once owned her heart now lives next door to her. Zach never left home all those years ago but he did end up marrying another woman and had twins with her. Shelby learned about Zach’s marriage and kids early on, and she has never been able to let go of the hurt she felt over it. How could he be okay with giving up their son and then within months afterwards, he marries and has kids with someone else??? Well, let me just say, I was flipping pissed off too!!!! HOWEVER, we learn pretty quickly that Zach has been divorced for several years and that there has only ever been one woman that has owned his heart, and you better believe that it was Shelby!! Zach later explains what transpired and call me a sucker, but I forgave him rather quickly. I understood how it happened and I admired his outlook on the situation.

Their journey that will lead them back into each other’s arms is not an easy one. There are tons of obstacles that present themselves along the way, but ultimately what we learn is that true love will always win in the end.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this book. I just saw the cover and knew that I had to give it a try. It’s an amazing feeling to find yet another author whose writing style ends up captivating you. This is definitely a must read in my opinion and it’s so fabulous that you’ll want to read it in one sitting.

Her writing is beautiful & captures you right from the start. I couldn’t get enough of this book & can’t wait to read more from this fabulous author!!!

She makes him want a future, & he’s totally devoted to her. She brings his broken soul back to life & teaches him to love again. I really loved this book & thought what this couple shared was beautiful!

The Protector is a brand new standalone by the incomparable Jodi Ellen Malpas. I seriously worship this lady because she created “The Lord of the Manor”!! In the past, I would take off from work on the release day of any of her previous books. Her writing just calls to me. I have to be honest, while I liked this one, I didn’t fall madly in love with it like all of Jodi’s previous books. However, my two co-bloggers adored it. I’m not sure if maybe my short vacation and feelings of jetlag might have contributed to my level of enjoyment of the book or not. I will make a point to re-read this book another time to see if my judgement changes. With that being said, I still found the book to be enjoyable and you will be given some decadent steam that only JEM can deliver!!

Jake Sharp is an ex-SAS and currently works for a security company where he provides his services as a bodyguard. Jake suffers from PTSD which stems from his time with the SAS and he’s haunted by a tragedy that occurred in his personal life. Jake throws himself into his job and his meaningless one night stands to avoid dealing with his troubles. His next assignment will bring into his life the woman who is about to change things in a big way for him.

Camille Logan is a socialite and high fashion model. She happens to be a really sweet person and nothing like the woman that most would stereotype her to be. Her father hires Jake to be her bodyguard after he receives a threat against her life. At first, neither are thrilled with the assignment. Jake presumes that Camille will be an uptight and pretentious snob, and Camille is not thrilled about having her life invaded by a stranger. But when they meet, they feel a strong attraction for one another which helps to change their opinions on the matter.

Throughout the story there’s a mystery as to who is the threat to Camille and everyone, including her own family, appear to be suspects. Jake and Camille ultimately give in to their physical desires and it seems that love blossoms rather quickly between the two. But there are obstacles that stand in the path to their HEA. Jake is tight-lipped about his past and it only ends up making Camille feel alienated. Also, there’s the matter of Camille’s life being in danger 24/7.

Will Jake track down the guilty culprits who are determined to harm Camille, and will he trust Camille enough to let her all the way into his life which includes the past, present, and future???

This couple was volatile & full of fire throughout this whole book. I couldn’t get enough!

Their golden boy Grayson Knight. With his fame & money he is considered untouchable. This high profile case could define her career, but Melissa questions if he’s innocent. Things don’t add up & she is seeing holes in his story.

As Melissa continues to question Grayson there is an undeniable attraction between them she keeps trying to ignore. He flirts & clearly is interested in her, but she knows he’s extremely off limits. She wants him, but can’t have him. It would be career suicide. Yet, as their chemistry ignites, & their connection grows, she can’t seem to stay away.

Suddenly this man is someone important to Mel & she finds herself wanting to defend him, & prove his innocence. Things heat up between this forbidden couple & it gets pretty delicious! Short but super sexy, Sacking The Quarterback delivers one hell of a good time. This is a sports theme romance, where two people from completely opposite worlds collide in one sensual tale that will tackle your senses, and leave you breathless.

Grayson Knight is the golden boy of football; the star quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. His whole life has been about football, working hard to earn his place in the NFL. Unfortunately for him, trouble comes knocking one night, and it might tarnish his clean reputation.

Melissa knows who Grayson Knight is, I mean; any woman on this planet knows that he is one of the hottest men in football. What she never expected was to find herself building a case against him, and since she is the assistant for the district’s attorney, she has to get to the bottom of the situation and find out how exactly this golden boy ended up in jail for drug possession.

Even though Melissa and Grayson start off the wrong foot, the sexual tension between them is through the roof. Melissa can tell that there’s something Grayson is not telling her about the case, and she really wants to help him, but he’s not making it easy on her. Not only is he withholding information, but he also keeps flirting heavily with her, and c’mon! there’s only so much a girl’s ovaries can take.

How long before Melissa caves into the temptation? Will she risk losing her career by getting involve with Grayson?

Read this sexy story and find out…

I really enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the writing style. A quick read, full of sexy times, that I’m sure anybody would enjoy.

Sacking The Quarterback was a super quick and steamy read. Samantha Towle is one of my “go to” authors and when I saw that she was writing a romance involving an NFL Quarterback, well I knew that I just had to get my hands on this one. The story is co-written with James Patterson and fans of Samantha will be able to distinguish between the writing styles. I didn’t fully start to enjoy this one until the latter half of the story.

Melissa St James is an up and coming Assistant State Attorney in Miami. She has just been assigned the biggest case of her career. NFL Quarterback, Grayson Knight has been arrested for possession of drugs. Her boss wants her to make sure to make an example out of Grayson and that he gets the most severe sentencing. When these two meet, the attraction is palpable and there’s something about Grayson’s behavior that has Mel questioning his guilt.

Mel is determined to get to the bottom of the story because there is no way her conscience will allow her to send an innocent man to prison. As Grayson and Mel begin to spend more time together their attraction grows deeper. I did find it to be a case of insta-love, but then again we are dealing with a pretty short novella!!

The steam is what made this an enjoyable read for me. If you’re a fan of Ms.Towle, then you know she can deliver on that front!!

This couple shares such a history, but their future is uncertain. So many secrets are hidden & feelings are full of conflict. One minute Matias feels like a complete stranger & the next he feels like home to her.

This book was a thrilling intense read from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. It was my favorite in this series & my favorite I’ve read by this author. This man was 100% alpha. He was sexy, captivating & fiercely devoted. His love for Camila has no limits or boundaries. She owned him heart & soul from the beginning. I really hope we get a book for Tate next!

I’m having the best luck lately with books by authors I’ve never read before and Bad Judgment was an off the charts HIT for me!! I have seen Meghan March’s books all across social media and saw for myself at a recent signing, what a huge and devoted fan base she has. It was time for me to learn what all the hype was about. I’m so happy to say that she has gained a new fan in me. I fell completely in love with this story and devoured it in a day. This enemy to lovers story had it all – a lovable heroine, a swoon-worthy & seriously sexy hero, a great plot, and enough schmexy to melt the panties off this delighted reader.

Justine Porter is a bright and very dedicated Grad student, in her final year of Law School. Unlike most of her fellow classmates, Justine doesn’t come from a wealthy family. Actually, her parents are drug-addicted con artists who couldn’t be bothered with taking care of their daughter. Luckily for Justine, her grandfather was able to gain custody of her and he did everything he could, even selling his house, to ensure she had the money to pay for her college tuition. Spending all this time with each other turns out to be a good thing when it comes to their grades but it also opens up emotions between them that they hadn’t expected to develop.

Justine begins to struggle with keeping her secret from Ryker because she knows that she’s starting to fall head over heels for the guy. I started having major anxiety just waiting for the truth to come out and I don’t want to give too much away but just know that you will be put through an emotional ringer at some point.

BAD JUDGEMENT is available now!! Meghan March fans will not be disappointed with this one. And for those of you who haven’t read anything by this author yet, I HIGHLY recommend that you pick this one up. You really don’t want to miss out on meeting Mr. Ryker Grant!!!

This is the fourth installment of the Bleeding Stars series and each book can be read as a standalone. The series revolves around the lives of each member of the band called SUNDER. I have never read anything by A.L. Jackson but I’ve always wanted to and since WAIT is a second chance romance with a Rock Star I just had to give this one a try. I really struggled with this book. I had been reading it for three nights and honestly for the first 60%, I was so disconnected and unhappy with the story, I almost gave up. I even contemplated skipping to the last two chapters and putting this behind me. Something told me to proceed on and I am so grateful that I listened to that little voice in my head. From the 60% mark and on, WAIT became an entirely different book for me and my enjoyment of it increased ten times over!! I actually am looking forward to the next book!!

Austin Stone and Edie Evans are the younger siblings to a couple of the members of the rock band, SUNDER. They were romantically involved a few years back but when Austin accidently reveals a secret that he swore to keep for Edie, she is so disillusioned that she ends up leaving town. Edie was the only one who was able to bring light into Austin’s life and without her, there is nothing to keep him from sliding back into the horrible depths of depression and guilt. Early on we learn what Edie’s secret is and are only given bits and pieces of what is haunting Austin. I was trying so hard to figure out what could possibly be tormenting him because for more than half of the story it was a struggle for me to feel anything for Austin. What I hypothesized barely even scratched the surface!!

When the haunting and painful pasts of both Austin and Edie are finally revealed, I started to connect with these characters and this story. My heart opened up wide to the both of them and it was from that moment on that their actions made perfect sense to me. I also fell in love with the author’s lyrical writing style. It felt like the story was being told to us through a beautiful song.

WAIT is definitely a slow building story of love, loss, and second chances. I promise that once the story picks up, it will be virtually impossible to put down. You will be rooting for these characters to finally have their HEA!!

I really loved this book! It was such a beautiful story about two broken people who heal and find strength through love.

-I want to know her body inside and out. I want to make her feel so alive that she’ll realize that she never knew what living was before me.
