SYNOPSIS

Anthony Bear and Christy Chapman are from two completely different worlds.

In THE IRON TIARA, Beth Flynn brings us back to the intense, gritty, and sometimes extremely violent world that the outlaw MCs of Florida live day in and out. Again, she has woven together a plot that will pull you in and you’ll never truly know the full story until she has peeled back each intricate layer through the carefully timed pace of her masterful writing. We go back and forth through time, from 1958 to the early 2000’s and we are reunited with the main characters that we loved in ”NINE MINUTES”. The timelines coincide with the early years of Grizz and Kit’s marriage and throughout the book, their friendship with Anthony and Christy only further endeared them in my heart. It was a real treat to get to spend this extra time with them. But that is not to say that I didn’t grow to love the main characters of this book and I know that readers are going to love Bear and Christy’s story!

 

Anthony Bear did not have an easy life. His parents were far from the best of role models and at the tender age of twelve he became an orphan and for a short time, he lived with his aunt and uncle. He was a really good kid with a tender heart and always looked out for those who were less fortunate than him. This endeared him to his aunt and uncle and it caused animosity from his cousin towards him. Not wanting to create any unnecessary drama for his family, he ends up leaving home and heads towards Florida where his skills as a mechanic and theft of expensive automotive parts land him a job at an auto body shop. As the years pass, he gets involved in many illegal ventures and because of his reputation and domineering presence, he became the Leader of one of Florida’s many outlaw MCs. When he finds out that one of his high profile clients has been consistently failing to pay back a loan to him, he sets out to take something as collateral to ensure that he will be able to collect on that debt. The moment Anthony sees the man’s young and beautiful daughter, Christy Chapman, his plan is set into motion.

 

Anthony and Christy’s romance is not one that starts off as ”love at first sight” and it’s not all ”hearts and flowers” but there are times that their story and Anthony’s love for Christy were beyond heartwarming. At first glance it would appear that these two couldn’t be more opposite and wrong for each other but as the story progresses you realize that they are two pieces of a puzzle that fit so perfectly together. Being a Native American during the 50s-70s, Anthony dealt with a lot of ignorant and racist people. One of his many jobs was working for a Landscaping company and many wealthy white women would lure him into their beds only to later ridicule him whenever he was in their presence in a public setting. This instilled extreme bitterness in him towards privileged white females. The moment he sees Christy getting out of her sports car at her parent’s house, he automatically drew his own conclusions about her. He decides to keep her as a hostage until her father pays back his debt, even though she advises him that there is bad blood between them and that she is far from the best bargaining chip for Anthony to use.

 

It is not until he is glued to the hip with Christy at his secluded cabin that Anthony begins to see there is so much more to her and that he was actually the one who was close minded and only seeing the color of her skin instead of what was in her heart. Once that realization sets in, Anthony starts having to deal with emotions he’s never encountered before. No woman has ever captivated him as much as Christy. He and his close friends would consider it a cold day in hell before a woman could ever steal Anthony’s heart.

 

Chapters that take place in the past are intermittently dispersed throughout this story and they only helped to further intensify and grasp my undivided attention. I grabbed on to every new morsel of information and even then I wasn’t able to predict all the surprises that lay ahead. Truly magnificent story telling!!

 

I loved how the romance builds between Anthony and Christy. Anthony’s devotion for Christy was giving me all the hearts and flowers feelings which would seem odd since the man is capable of truly heinous acts of violence, but often times the anti-hero can prove to be the most swoon worthy!

 

There are several intriguing chapters that revolve around Anthony’s right-hand man, X, and his younger sister, Nisha. I have a feeling based on the attention that was paid to these two and other secondary characters, that this may be just the beginning of another addicting series created by the talented Ms. Flynn!

FABULOUS!!!!!

Love is a deep breath with wings. It flutters in the chest, swooping and dancing to the beat of the heart. Without it, I feel strangled and lifeless. Without them, I might never breathe again.

 

 

 

This is one exceptionally fabulous series!! I am well and truly addicted! Be warned that this story is not for the faint hearted and for those who can’t handle a good angst fest! Pam Godwin has one seriously naughty and devious mind! I think this just might be my FAVORITE love triangle story ever! TWO IS A LIE will take you on a ridiculously wild and steamy ride.

 

 

 

 

At the end of book one, we learned that Cole wasn’t dead and that he’s now come back to claim his life with Danni, but she’s no longer only his to claim. Trace, the one man he entrusted with Danni’s safety also ended stealing her heart. Things are not so black and white in this situation. Danni loves both men with all of her heart, one represents her past and was once her forever and the other was the one who brought her back to life. Since both Cole and Trace deceived Danni and are still keeping many secrets from her, neither can fault her for her indecisiveness. They all agree to give her as much time as she needs to make her decision. Danni’s one stipulation to the deal is that there will be no sex while she tries to choose between the two loves of her life.

 

 

 

Danni splits her time up between both men as best as she can and as time goes on her mind gets even more fogged by confusion. Every moment spent with Cole and Trace only links her heart even stronger to theirs. She is clearly in a no-win situation because the thought of letting either one go makes her feel like she’ll die from a broken heart.

 

 

The ”no sex” rule gets blown to hell when Danni is thoroughly seduced by one of them and wowza that was one of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read!! But sex during a terribly confusing and complicated time only ends up making things even messier when the truth is revealed.

This ends on one incredible mind shattering cliffhanger! I’m not sure how I can actually survive the month-long wait to get to book three! It’s going to be pure torture, and I’m not even close to being able to pick which man I love more.

Losing him almost destroyed her, but years later she found love again with Trace Savoy. Trace was her second chance & supposed to be her future and her new beginning. Now that a future with Cole is possible again she feels torn between her past and her present. She never stopped loving Cole, but she now is madly in love with Trace. She is engaged to two men and is a total mess. She needs space to assess her feelings & figure who she has the strongest connection with. Can she choose between them when they each hold a part of her heart?

Danni isn’t even sure if her relationship with Cole is recoverable, but she still needs to explore it. Trace has been her stability and is wanting to be her forever. She desires them & has a unique unexplainable bond with each of them. The sexual tension becomes unbearable when you’re dealing with two possessive alpha males who don’t like to share.

 

Things soon get even more complicated when Danni learns there have been omissions & lies she didn’t know about. She feels deceived and betrayed by both men & realizes she might not really know them at all. There’s so many secrets, and nobody will tell her the full truth.

This book was a total mind f**k lol. I was right there with Danni & just as torn between these men. Pam makes you desperately want them both. This is a major love triangle & it’s intense between these three. It ends on a bit of a cliffy & left me dying for more.

-They gave me their hearts, willfully, recklessly. If I choose one, I break the other.

-I want them so badly I can’t breathe.

-I’m addicted to this man.

People in town think me a manwhore, and I probably am, but when it comes down to it, I’ve been ruined for anything but Eden. Losing her hurt in a way that I was never able to fully recognize until right this moment as I’m holding her in my arms and floating in the Atlantic Ocean.

 

 

JILTED is going up there as one of my most favorite books by Sawyer Bennett. I have read many of her works and can assure you that this woman knows how to write some incredibly entertaining stories. I really don’t even know how she is able to publish the amount of books that she does. Unfortunately, it is daunting at times to try and keep up, and so there are books that I’ve had to pass up but boy am I ever so happy that I chose to review this one!! This story was SCANDALOUSLY HOT and I just couldn’t get enough!! The Hero has an insatiable sexual appetite and I enjoyed getting lost in this story that for me was unputdownable. This is a second chance romance and a truly fun read.

 

 

Eden Goodnight is an academy award winning actress at the pinnacle of her career. She’s engaged to Hollywood’s hottest and biggest action hero. Life seems like it couldn’t get any better, but then her bubble bursts when she finds out in a public way that her fiancé has been cheating on her with his latest movie co-star. Eden and Coop go into this thing thinking that it’s strictly sex and that there is a definite expiration date to their fling. What they didn’t count on was that things would get serious so fast and that old dilemmas threaten to split the couple apart yet again.

I can’t even think straight when I’m near him, when he’s touching me. All I can do is feel. And all I want to feel is him. With Brett…I wouldn’t fall in love, I’d plummet.

 

 

It has been four years since I’ve read anything by K.A. Tucker and I’m wishing that I didn’t wait so long to pick up another book by this author. I absolutely LOVED TEN TINY BREATHS! It’s one of my all-time faves! I was really excited to get the opportunity to read and review UNTIL IT FADESand I was not in the least disappointed with this one! It gave me all the tingly butterflies and feels that I get when I’m reading a fairytale romance that literally sweeps me off my feet. And the cherry on top of this fabulous story was that our Hero is one seriously dreamy Pro-Hockey player!!

Catherine Wright is a young single mother of a precocious five-year-old girl. She made some poor choices as a teenager, like having an affair with her high school art teacher that ultimately estranged her from her family and tarnished her reputation in the small town that she resides in. Months after the drama with her teacher, she ends up sleeping with a guy she meets at a party, who turns out to be a local drug dealer. When she learns that she’s pregnant, Catherine doesn’t run back home to her parents for support—no, she gets a waitressing job at a local diner and saves up enough money to rent a tiny two-bedroom cottage. Life hasn’t been kind to her and the cruelty she experiences from others in town has really chipped away at her feelings of self-worth, but the one true happiness in her life is her little girl. She also has a boss who treats Catherine as if she were her own daughter and some really good friends who are always there to support her.

Catherine’s love life has been pretty dismal for several years and at the urging of her boss, she goes on a blind date with her boss’s nephew. The date is a total failure which convinces her even more that she’s meant to be alone. But then as she’s driving home she comes upon a sports car that took a hard turn on a sharp corner and ended up crashing into a tree. She clearly sees that the driver didn’t survive but then she notices that there’s a man in the passenger seat and he’s still breathing but unconscious and badly injured. The man is ten times her size and she has the struggle of her life trying to get him out of the car. As the car starts to catch on fire, she almost gives up but then the man seems to come to for a second and by some miracle, she is able to free him from the burning car before it explodes. Catherine winds up with a sprained wrist but she successfully saved that man’s life. Turns out, he’s someone pretty famous. She saved the life of Brett Madden, captain of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Catherine tries to hide from Brett and the media for as long as she can because she’s terrified that her past will be brought back up front and center and that she’ll become fodder for town gossip again. But this time it will be worse because now it could possibly touch her innocent child and she will protect her daughter from the scandals of her past at all cost. Ultimately, her identity is revealed and Catherine’s life is turned upside down when the paparazzi and media camp outside her home in hopes of getting an interview with her. Brett Madden showing up on her doorstep only sparks media interest even more.

When these two meet, there is an immediate spark between them. It’s been years since any man has made her heart race the way that Brett does. But Catherine can’t even fathom that Brett, a gorgeous and famous hockey player would ever have eyes for her. The moment Brett met Catherine face-to-face he was completely enamored of her. Whenever he sees her his affection for her is pretty obvious to everyone but Catherine.

It takes quite a while before they both get a clue and then the romance heats up! The slow burn and anticipation nearly killed me! Once Brett and Catherine admit their feelings and their passion ignites, I swear I felt all the tingly warm and fuzzies!!

Things seem to be heading towards the fairy tale happily ever after until a lie is revealed and once again Catherine might just lose the love of her life.

I am a big fan of this author but I’m even a bigger fan of this Steamy Coffee Collection. Every time I open one of these books I get exactly what I want. Great banter, lots of passion and tons of entertainment. These books are the equivalent of taking a shot; quick, fiery and you know you’ll have a great time…

 

In this third installment, we meet a sexy and very cocky CEO. Ryan Dalton is a hugely successful real estate investor who happens to love sex. He is handsome and very good in bed so he’s always on the hunt for his next best lay. The problem is his business is constantly being splashed all over the media and he doesn’t help his case by flaunting his ways or by being totally unapologetic about his sex life.

 

Ryan is in desperate need of a new PR company. He’s been dropped by almost every PR agent in the city and now his reputation is actually hurting his business. Penelope Lauren doesn’t take crap from anyone, She’s trying to grow her PR company but it hasn’t been easy. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book. Ryan and Penelope are fire together. This book was the perfect combination of all the things I love in my sexy reads. I can tell that author Whitney G. created these books with the sole purpose of giving readers a good ‘Ol time. Cocky Client is absolutely fantastic!!!!

She hasn’t slept with anyone since her ex, & is in need of some male attention. She gets herself all dolled up & heads out to a club. She meets a sexy stranger at the club & ends up having the best sex of her life.

 

-He was sexier than any man I’d ever met in my life.

-I could already tell that this man was beyond cocky. That he knew just how damn attractive he was and he knew how to use his sexiness to get exactly what he wanted.

 

Ryan Dalton is a self-made real estate tycoon & the CEO of Dalton International Estates and Realty. He’s well known in the media as an arrogant, billionaire playboy. His reputation precedes him in this city, & nobody wants to deal with him anymore. He can’t seem to keep a publicist with all his constant scandals and needs a new PR firm to help him clean up his public image.

 

 

Penelope has a meeting with a new secretive mystery client who has yet to reveal his identity. Her ex has been taking her clients, so she really could use a wealthy high profile client. She is completely stunned when she realizes her newest client is her unforgettable one night stand, Ryan. She soon figures out he’s cocky & impossible to work with. They drive each other crazy and can’t agree on anything. She will only be representing him for a limited time, so they try to be professional. Eventually the sexual tension between them becomes too much to deny. They can no longer resist one another and real feelings develop.

I really enjoyed this third standalone novella in the Steamy Coffee Reads Collection. It was my favorite in the series. Super hot, sexy, & a fun flirty read!

I could already tell that this man was beyond cocky. That he knew just how damn attractive he was and he knew how to use his sexiness to get exactly what he wanted.

 

 

The ”Steamy Coffee Collection” series has been a fun and guilty pleasure for me. Whitney G knows how to write truly naughty stories that are extremely addictive and get my temperature rising. These novellas were written to give readers pure entertainment without a substantial plot. I wasn’t the least bit surprised at how much I ended up loving this series. Whitney G is unequivocally one of my top favorite authors. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t read by this author.

Penelope is the CEO and owner of Penelope Lauren & Associates, a small public relations firm. She spends all of her time trying to build her business and increase her clientele. This leaves no time for a personal life. It’s literally been years since she’s been with a man. Penelope decides that it’s time she puts an end to her dry spell and goes out to find a man to have a hot one night stand with. She ends up meeting one drop dead gorgeous man who takes her back to her place and nearly blows her mind with an all-night sex fest. Her world was so completely rocked by this guy that the next day she is almost five hours late to work, which has NEVER happened before since she has always been OCD about punctuality. Penelope’s anxiety level is skyrocketing because she has a meeting with potentially one of the biggest clients her company has ever acquired. As Emmett & Alyssa enter into this arrangement for show they clash & really get under each other’s skin. Alyssa is a handful on a good day, & Emmett loves to push her buttons. They decide to keep things professional & keep their hands off each other, but that doesn’t last long. Neither can quit thinking of their night together, and their chemistry is too overwhelming to deny.

This was a fabulous, flirty, fun read. I really enjoyed it. Emmett was sexy & swoony, and Alyssa was a total spitfire that challenged him and gave him something real.

AFTER ALL is the perfect low on angst but heavy on the combustible steam summer read! I know that Karina Halle is a truly versatile writer who doesn’t limit herself to one type of story but I have to say that I happen to love her “adult contemporary” books more than the others! We met the Hero and Heroine in BEFORE I EVER MET YOU and theirs is a sort of “hate to love” relationship, but more so on the Heroine’s side. What I enjoyed most was that all that “enemies to lovers” drama didn’t last for too long because honestly, I think I have had my fill of that trope!! This story has some of the most intensely steamy scenes but there’s also a ton of heart to round it out quite perfectly!!

Emmett Hill is a tv actor who has had his fair share of bad publicity lately over his ill-tempered outbursts in public. To be fair, it seems that the paparazzi love to instigate fights with him in hopes of snapping pics of Emmett while in the midst of his blow-outs. His publicist advises him that he needs an image makeover. While at his best friend’s wedding, he meets Alyssa Martin, who is one of the bridesmaids. He’s instantly attracted to her but she’s as cool as a cucumber towards him. It’s throwing him for a loop because woman are usually falling all over themselves to get his attention. Alyssa is not in the least bit impressed with him and lets him know she thinks he’s just a slick Hollywood actor looking for an easy lay. But by the end of the night and after several cocktails the two end up sharing an intense and passionate moment during the wedding reception. A kiss that they share winds up landing on some social media gossip sites the next day.

The picture of them starts to generate a lot of interest because of Alyssa. She’s just a regular gal who doesn’t have ties to the industry and so speculations start to spread across the gossip sites that maybe Emmett is finally mellowing out because he’s found himself a nice girl. Looking to capitalize on all of the current publicity, Emmett proposes a deal with Alyssa. She is to be his pretend girlfriend for the next few months in order to boost his public image and at the end of their contract, she’ll get a forty-thousand dollar check. Alyssa is so unhappy with her career at the moment and this money is what she needs to quit her job and pursue her life-long dream.

 

 

Alyssa and Emmett may seem polar opposites but that’s because of the act they put on in front of everyone to protect themselves. They actually couldn’t be more perfect for each other if they tried. As they spend time together as a “so-called” couple, real feelings are constantly bubbling up to the surface. The only problem is that while their hearts are starting to get invested, their insecurities keep telling them that it’s all fake and that they’re just acting the part of a couple in love.

She risks the contract by getting involved with Easton & jeopardizes fulfilling her dad’s last wish by putting Easton first. She compromises herself & everything she’s been working toward to try and protect the man who has her heart, but she second guesses all her decisions.

 

Easton Wylder has given everything he has to the Aces. Baseball is his life, & he loves the city of Austin. It’s always been home. Since injuring his shoulder he’s been working hard rehabbing it to get back on the field. If he isn’t 100% he won’t be reinstated. His life is suddenly thrown into chaos when he’s blindsided by the people he thought he could trust most. His career is up in the air & everything is uncertain. He doesn’t know who he can trust anymore & even begins to wonder if Scout’s intentions are good.

 

Easton questions everyone’s loyalty but soon figures out Scout is the one person he can count on. She understands him & always see’s the best in him. She fights for him & they put their trust in one another. They learn they can survive anything together, & come out even stronger.

I really enjoyed this series, & love me some Easton Wylder! This man is delicious & has so much love to give. This was a super sexy sports romance full of emotion that will give you all the feels.

It has been nearly two years since I read Camouflage and it took no time at all to jump right back into the crazy and chaotic world that Taylor Ellison and Daniello Di Giovanni reside in. CROSSHAIRS is the explosive and highly erotic conclusion to the ”Predator and Prey” series and let me just say, Kate Stewart delivered one hell of a spectacular finale to this crazy but entertaining story!

 

 

Taylor is one seriously badass heroine. This woman was born into a world full of poverty and raised by drug addicted and abusive parents. It was by sheer determination and the strong will of a warrior that she pulled herself out of destitution and made something of herself. But regret and guilt over leaving her little sister behind have always haunted her. Taylor had the chance to rescue her sister and little nephew from a living hell but it didn’t come without any consequences. Her once childhood sweetheart, now turned nemesis is out for revenge and he also happens to be the father of her sister’s baby boy. It would seem that there are quite a few bad guys out to get Taylor and she’s not at all certain that her current lover, Danielo, isn’t one of them.

Daniello and Taylor continue their passionate affair, knowing that it will soon come to an end and that one day they’ll have to say goodbye forever. Neither is willing to open up to the other completely. So many secrets still keep them from committing 100% to what is building between them. Even though Taylor is quite certain that Daniello definitely works outside the law and that being with him could put her and the ones she loves in harm’s way, she can’t seem to let him go.

 

 

We are taken back to Taylor’s past where we meet the young Laz and share some tender moments between the childhood sweethearts. It only helped to further cloud my feelings for this man who turned out to be such a low and despicable character later in life. It humanized him and made my heart bleed a bit for his lost soul. Next, we meet through flashbacks, the man who took Taylor out of the trailer park and helped form her into the well-bred socialite with a Harvard education. Roy was an enigma but utterly charismatic. His hot and cold temperament only fueled Taylor’s desire and love for him. I fell for this man as well. Again, Kate Stewart creates a story where I found myself falling for more than one man!

Ultimately the true love of Taylor’s life is the dark, sinfully gorgeous and dangerous Daniello. I couldn’t get enough of him. Taylor wasn’t the only one suffering whenever he would disappear for months at a time! I couldn’t wait for him to reappear in her life when she least expected it.

 

 

This series is filled with some incredibly erotic scenes and so much action and nail-biting suspense! There are reveals that you will never see coming! I highly recommend this fabulous series!!!

As Camille & Adam spend more time together they end up having a great time. They share all these new experiences in a beautiful place & bond. Adam now thinks Camille is fun & genuine. He realizes he’s really going to miss her when the both return home. She went from frustrating him to completely captivating him.

Camille has stepped way out of her comfort zone on this trip. She’s embraced the culture & a new part of herself she didn’t know existed. She also fell hard for Adam & doesn’t know how she’ll ever be able to say goodbye to him.

This was a great young adult story about two people who are opposites that find love in a beautiful place. You feel like you are there experiencing all the adventures in gorgeous Costa Rica.
