REVIEW – MORE THAN WORDS by Mia Sheridan

SYNOPSIS

No one lays open the heart and soul quite like New York Timesbestselling author Mia Sheridan.
The moment she met Callen Hayes, eleven-year-old Jessica Creswell knew he was a broken prince. Her prince. They became each other’s refuge, a safe and magical place far from their troubled lives. Until the day Callen kissed herJessica’s first real, dreamy kissand then disappeared from her life without a word.
Years later, everyone knows who Callen Hayes is. Famous composer. Infamous bad boy. What no one knows is that Callen’s music is now locked deep inside, trapped behind his own inner demons. It’s only when he withdraws to France to drink his way through the darkness that Callen stumbles into the one person who makes the music return. Jessica. His Jessie. And she still tastes of fresh, sweet innocence . . . even as she sets his blood on fire.
But they don’t belong in each other’s worlds anymore. There are too many mistakes. Too many secrets. Too many lies. All they have is that instinctive longing, that needand something that looks dangerously like love.

My heart overflowed with the love I felt for him, the ease with which we talked about everything and nothing, and the magical feel of this weekend, in this village where fate had somehow delivered us. And though I’d given myself to him knowing it wouldn’t last, I allowed myself to pretend it might, just for now. Just for tonight.

I love Mia Sheridan’s stories. They’re always heartfelt and her characters face somewhat impossible challenges during their lives but the prize is fairytale-like romance overflowing with unconditional love. The main characters meet at the tender age of eleven. Neither were fortunate enough to be blessed with the best parents and to escape their unhealthy environments, they hung out in an abandoned train car where they’d go on many fantastic journeys with the help of their books and wild imaginations, but one day without warning, the boy disappears and is never to be seen again.

Twelve years later, fate brings the two together at a hotel in a quaint little town in France. Callen has become a world-famous music composer and Jessie has just landed her dream job translating the lost journals of one of Joan of Arc’s closest confidantes. Callen is famous for his drunken escapades with countless women and when he tries to make the moves on Jessie, she is far from eager to jump into a romantic entanglement with him. She has protected her heart for so many years that she is afraid of making the same mistakes that destroyed her mother.

Callen is haunted by the mental abuse he was subjected to by his father as a child. He’s never felt anything for any woman because his heart has always belonged to Jessie and he truly believes all the horrible things his father called him. So Callen is also reluctant to get involved with Jessie because he knows she deserves far better than him.

Both Callen and Jessie seem to be drowning in self-loathing and insecurities. And just when the two find the courage to take a chance on each other a secret that gets revealed has the power to tear them apart once more.

REVIEW – ONLY HIM (One and Only #2) by Melanie Harlow

SYNOPSIS

Sometimes your first love deserves a second chance.

He was my first crush, my first kiss, my first everything.
But I’m not a lovesick teenager anymore, and I’d never let that cocky troublemaker break my heart again.
So when he shows up out of the blue asking me to have dinner with him “for old time’s sake,” I say I will. After all, it’s been twelve years, and I’m stronger and smarter than I was back then.
Except…he still does something to me. He’s got those eyes that make me weak, those hands that drive me wild, and a body I can’t resist—especially once I see the tattoos. It doesn’t take long for our trip down memory lane to go from sweet to sizzling.
We’re just as good together as we were back then—better, even—and I’m willing to give the only man I’ve ever loved another chance.
But he’s got to tell me the truth.

* * *

All I wanted was to see her again. Tell her I’m sorry. Make her smile.
Okay, that’s a lie. I wanted to do more than that—a lot more. But I know she’s better off without me, and I promised myself I’d behave.
Except I’ve never been much good at keeping promises…or my hands to myself when I’m around her.
I can make her laugh, I can make her cry, I can make her body surrender to mine in ways that neither of us could have imagined back then. I can—and I do—love her more than she’ll ever know.
But I can’t tell her the real reason why I’m here.
And I can’t stay.

It was then and it was now and there was never a time when our bodies didn’t crave this heat and our hearts didn’t share this rhythm and our souls weren’t always leading us right back to this place, this feeling, this moment. I clung to it as if it could save me from drowning.

ONLY HIM is an emotional second chance romance that will tug at your heartstrings. This second installment of the ”One and Only” series focuses on the youngest of the Devine sisters, Maren. If you haven’t picked up ”ONLY YOU which is Emme and Nate’s “friends-to-lovers” story, you really need to make time for it. Although each book can be read as a standalone, the series is pretty amazing and you’ll want to meet each of the Devine sisters.

We barely got a chance to know what Maren was all about in the first installment. What we learn in her story is that she has a big heart and would do anything for her loved ones. She may come off as a hippie chick with weird beliefs but there is depth to this character. Maren has only ever had one great romance in her life and it was her high school sweetheart and first love, Dallas Shepherd. At the tender age of sixteen, her heart was shattered by the boy who was her world, when he unexpectedly left town without a goodbye or explanation for Maren. Twelve years later, she hasn’t forgotten her first love and no man has ever measured up to him in her eyes.

One day she gets the shock of her life when Dallas shows up on her front doorstep. He claims he’s felt horrible for the way he left things with Maren and wanted to make amends and tie up loose ends. At first, Maren unleashes all of her pent up anger and hurt on him, but it doesn’t take long before she offers Dallas her forgiveness.

Dallas is only in town for a couple days and he and Maren end up going out to dinner. Reminiscing about old times plus strong feelings that never died soon have the two tangled up in a passionate affair that they stupidly believe they can walk away from after their weekend together is over.

Maren thinks that maybe this is finally her chance at a happily ever after and Dallas is giving her all the right signals. But Dallas isn’t being completely honest with her and now this is the second Hero in this series that I had a hard time with because he was such a coward!

Will Maren get the love and the forever after that she deserves?

REVIEW – THE VARLET AND THE VOYEUR (Rugby #4) by L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid

SYNOPSIS

He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper…

THE VARLET (and the VOYEUR)
William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he’s now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn’t the clean-cut, all-American good-guy everyone imagines him to be. He’s got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

THE VOYEUR (and the VARLET)
Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she’s finally getting her shi… uh, act together. She’s set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there’s one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Josey homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

THE PLAN
What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path.
What she needs is an apartment with free rent.
Will is convinced Josey will make the perfect companion, since she’s brutally honest and basically ‘just one of the guys.’ Josey is convinced she can ensure Will doesn’t succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.
Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice-versa?!
Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the 4th (and last) book in the USA TODAY bestselling Rugby Series.

*****Dee’s Review*****

Five +++ Crazy-Fun Stars********

L.H Cosway and Penny Reid make a fabulous team when they create stories together. I love their books separately, and together they are like peanut butter and chocolate, just wonderful when combined. This fourth book in the rugby series was total fun for me, when I say this, I mean I was laughing throughout the entire read. This book was full of sexy times and belly laughs, which again, for me is the perfect combination.

William Moore is the good guy of the Rugby team. He doesn’t drink much, doesn’t date, is always polite and always a gentleman, but he does have a secret, and it’s threatening to sabotage his perfect career. Josey Kavanagh is a twenty six year old girl that still lives at home. Josey is genuinely happy to live at home with her parents, she lacks social interaction because she’s always with them and her tiny dog Rocky. Her parents are seeing their mistakes in coddling Josey too much, and they tell her it’s time to go on her own and find her own life, outside in the real world.

Will is looking for answers to fix the big scandal that he is causing for the team, and he thinks living alone is just not doing him any favors; he needs a companion, someone honest to a fault that will keep him away from trouble. Josey needs a place to stay, and a job, so when Bryan, Will’s teammate offers the solution of them being roommates, both Will and Josey accept.

These two couldn’t possibly be more opposite. Where Will is quiet and composed, Josey is EXTREMELY talkative and a bit nutty. Will is immediately dazzled by Josey and her weirdness, he actually finds it endearing. Josey who is a bit of a horn-ball is immediately attracted by him but only in a sexual way. Their interactions are pure, unadulterated fun. And then from fun, they turn into red-hot sexy. Both Josey and Will have problems admitting their true feelings and intentions towards one another, but lucky for us the road to a happy ending both literally and figuratively speaking, will be one hell of a crazy, and sexy ride.

Once again I love yet another book in this series. I don’t know anything about Rugby but I’m thinking about moving to Ireland to study the players, I mean the game, the game…*wink after reading this wonderful series.

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Authors}

I had no thoughts of rules or boundaries, just of Josey. Rightness, bone-deep satisfaction as I lay on her, our bodies still joined. Maybe it was madness, but a visceral sense of belonging warmed me, feverish in its intensity. Not just that I belonged with her—here, now—but that I belonged to her, with no limitations on place and time.

The ”Rugby” series is one of my favorites. I truly love the individual works by both L.H. Conway and Penny Reid, but when they write together, it’s pretty fantastic. Each Heroine in this series seems to be quirky but it only adds to their endearing personalities. Josey and Will’s story will start off a bit unconventionally but I am sure that fans of these authors and this series will really enjoy this one.

William Moore is somewhat socially awkward. He’s the most reserved and quiet member of his Rugby team but unfortunately for him, he has become the center of a huge scandal. He has a secret fetish that has been discovered by the gossip magazines. Will has been burned badly in his past and it’s made him avoid intimacy and relationships with women. The only way he relieves some of his sexual tension is by watching consenting married couples have sex. He doesn’t take part and he never pays to watch, and so to him, he sees it all as being safe. When his teammate Bryan was living with him, he didn’t have any time to even think about his voyeuristic needs. But the moment he was living alone, the silence and loneliness had him turning to his kinky side again.

Josey Kavanagh has just been evicted from her family home by her parents. They’re also told her that they will no longer be paying for her veterinary school tuition. Lost and bewildered she ends up staying over at her good friend Eilish’s house. Eilish and Bryan are the couple from the previous book ”The Cad and The Coed”. Josey is a bit of a social misfit. She often says the most inappropriate things at inopportune moments because she tends to ramble to avoid awkward moments of silence. She’s a pretty lovable character and although I had really loved Bryan in his story, I kind of disliked him in this one because he was often rude and spoke badly of Josey. BUT, he is the one who gets the bright idea to have Will hire her as his keeper and roommate. The team is trying to salvage Will’s reputation and since his voyeurism need disappears when he has a roommate, Bryan suggests that Josey takes on that role. Josey jumps at the chance because she gets a place to live and a salary which solves all of her current problems.

Their first encounter is a little awkward but from the start, Will senses that Josey is perfect for the job. They enter into an easy friendship and their living situation turns out to be very agreeable for the both of them. But soon Josey and Will are feeling more than friendly and it rattles them. The fears that they each carry deep inside have them doubting anything good or lasting can develop between them.

When Will and Josey finally admit their mutual attraction to each other and somehow agree that a serious relationship would never work out between them, they both agree to a ”friends with benefits” arrangement while they spend two weeks in Australia where Will and his teammates are training for the upcoming season.

Once these two get a taste of each other, it’ll be hard to deny that they’ve got something pretty monumental building between them. Can they go back to being just friends and roommates when they return to Ireland? Or will their two weeks of passion end up ruining their perfect living situation at home and ultimately tearing them apart forever?

REVIEW – THE START OF SOMETHING GOOD (Stay #1) by Jennifer Probst

SYNOPSIS

An enriching story of family ties, broken hearts, and second chances from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

When Ethan Bishop returns to the Hudson Valley, his body and spirit are a little worse for wear. As a former Special Forces paratrooper, he saw his fair share of conflict, and he came home with wounds, inside and out. At his sisters’ B & B and farm, he can keep all his pain at a safe distance. But quiet time isn’t easy when a fiery woman explodes into his life…

It’s business—not pleasure—that brings Manhattan PR agent Mia Thrush reluctantly to the farm. Tightly wound and quick tempered, Mia clashes immediately with the brooding Ethan. Everything about him is irritating—from his lean muscles and piercing blue eyes to his scent of sweat and musk.

But as the summer unfolds and temperatures rise, Ethan and Mia discover how much they have in common: their guarded histories, an uncontrollable desire, and a passion for the future that could heal two broken hearts. But will their pasts threaten their fragile chance at a brand-new future?

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Mia stared at him as the words wound their way through her head and heart, tingling up into one big knot. She’d met hundreds of men. Dated dozens. Fallen in love or lust twice. But not once had she wanted a man as badly as she wanted Ethan Bishop.

THE START OF SOMETHING GOOD is the first installment of the ”Stay” series by Jennifer Probst, and if this book is any indication of how this series is going to be, I can guarantee that this author’s fans are in for a real treat. This was an off the charts HOT enemies-to-lovers romance, with a heartwarming back story to round out the story perfectly. The Hero is a rugged and intense Alpha with a tragic past that haunts him and has turned him into somewhat of a recluse. The Heroine is a strong-willed, brilliant, independent woman who’s building her PR company and loves her life in the big city. When the two meet, they’re at each other’s throats almost instantly but burning just beneath the surface is a wildly intense sexual chemistry.

Mia Thrush finds herself spending the summer at a B&B/Horse farm as a chaperone to one of her biggest client’s teenaged daughter. She got into a little trouble during her second semester at college and was sentenced to community service at the horse farm. This is just about the last thing Mia wants to be doing. She’s got a business that is blooming and she prefers the hustle and bustle of New York City as opposed to being stuck up in the country with a bunch of farm animals.

Ethan Bishop has returned home after being away for so many years. His sisters took over running the family business after their mother passed away and Ethan decided it was time to come back home and do his part. He’s also been having a tough time with recovering from his leg injury and has been haunted by night terrors. Maybe some time with the horses in the country will do him some good.

From the moment that Ethan and Mia met, they each formed biased opinions of each other just by misplaced first impressions. The air crackles and sizzles with heat whenever they’re forced to be in the same room. After some time has passed they get a chance to get to know each other and soon realize they each made a mistake in judgment and an all-consuming passion takes over.

Mia and Ethan are from two different worlds. He’s from the country and enjoys the slow pace. She’s a city girl with high end fashion tastes and loves all the glam that only living in NYC can provide her. They’re only fooling themselves by believing what they have is merely a summer fling. When love starts to works its way into their hearts, will they be able to walk away when it’s time for Mia to go back home?

Can Ethan and Mia beat almost impossible odds?

REVIEW – I FLIPPING LOVE YOU (Shacking Up #3) by Helena Hunting

SYNOPSIS

SHE’S GOT CURB APPEAL. HE’S A FIXER UPPER…

From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes I Flipping Love You, a love story about flipping houses, taking risks, and landing that special someone who’s move-in ready.

Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in the Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…

Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance—without burning down the house?

“Fun, sexy, and full of heart…Helena Hunting has done it again!”—USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow (on Shacking Up)

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

The desire is visceral, a shimmer in the air, a heat in my veins, and a fire in his eyes.
This is what wanting someone is.
This is the pinnacle of desperate attraction. This is the chemical reaction that ignites and burns until there’s nothing left but ash.

Leave it to Helena Hunting to turn the world of flipping houses into an incredibly steamy, and laugh out loud bellyaching good time! ”I Flipping Love You” is the third installment of the ”Shacking Up” series and we get the added bonus of spending a little extra time with SEXY LEX and Amalie!

Our couple meets in the beautiful Hamptons, where only the incredibly wealthy can own property. Their first encounter is far from the normal “meet-cute” of romantic comedies but there’s no denying the incredible sparks flying between Pierce and Rian! After they run into each other more than a few times, Pierce is able to wear down Rian’s stubborn resolve and the two embark on one hell of a panty melting summer romance. There is no dousing the heat these two generate when in close proximity to each other.

Both Rian and Pierce are dabbling in the real estate/house flipping business with their siblings. What has the makings of an incredibly competitive cut-throat situation between them has the possibility of turning into an intense love affair if Rian can get passed ghosts from her past.

This is sure to become a hot summer read! If you love Helena Hunting and HGTV like I do, then you’ll want to add this one to your ebook library!

REVIEW – MOGUL by Katy Evans

SYNOPSIS

A brand new contemporary romance from New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans.

He’s my most delicious secret.
The hot Suit I had a one-night stand with one evening.
I didn’t know anything about him, not even his name.
Only that we shared a taxi, and he was staying at the hotel where I worked.
We met in room 1103. Where he commanded not only my body but my soul.
The next day he was gone and I only had a memory of him.
I could still taste his kisses, feel his demanding touch.
I searched for him for months. Daydreaming about him. Wondering if I’d ever find him.
Until the day I find myself staring face to face with his jeweled black eyes again.
He says lets keep it casual, and my heart knows that falling for this workaholic in a three-thousand-dollar suit is off the table.
Because he has a secret. One that’s a deal breaker for me.
My Suit has a name.
Ian Ford.
And this is our story.

*This book is connected to Tycoon, but it can also be read as standalone.

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Seeing him again, his gorgeous face, his sexy designer slacks, and that crisp white shirt, inhaling his intoxicating scent, I’m reminded why I haven’t stopped thinking about him since that night. This guy makes me hungry. Hungry like someone who hasn’t eaten for days and is standing before a chocolate buffet, and chocolate is her favorite.

If you love a steamy romance with a hotter than hell Hero who wears a suit like nobody’s business, then MOGULshould be the next book on your TBRs! Katy Evans has done it again! She has a gift for creating Heroes that ooze sex appeal and virility out of every pore! Don’t even get me started on the names she picks for her alpha males! Just the name alone of this hero will melt your panties right off. IAN FORD!! Readers everywhere will be fighting to claim him as their own!

I’ve been a huge fan of Katy’s for years. I love getting lost in her stories and most of the time I wish I could just live in them. This story grabs you from the very beginning. There is no slow build! The couple meets right at the very opening of the story and soon a wild and passionate affair takes flight. It was decadently steamy and thoroughly entertaining. What a great book to spend part of this holiday weekend reading!

Sara Davies and Ian Ford meet by chance when they wind up sharing a cab from JFK to NYC. If there was ever a time where these two could consider themselves lucky—this would be it. There was no denying during that ride into Manhattan that there was a sizzling current of sexual attraction generating between them. And it would seem that lady luck wasn’t done with them yet because Sara suddenly gets called in to cover for a co-worker at the Four Season’s hotel, which also happens to be where Ian is staying as a guest. Ian doesn’t waste any time, when he invites Sara up to his room to get better acquainted with each other. Sara has never had a one-night stand before but she was not about to miss out on the chance of having the best sex of her life with her hot as hell cab ride companion.

What started out as a night of mind-blowing sex between two strangers, slowly turns into a bit of an obsession for both Ian and Sara. While they both try to go on with their lives, they haven’t been able to stop thinking about each other. It’s as if fate is trying to force them together when a few months later their paths cross again. Sara has been working for Ian’s grandmother on the side as her dog walker. She also works part-time for her roommate, who is about to launch her own clothing line. These jobs are temporary while she tries to get her big break on Broadway.

Sara is more than ecstatic when she gets the chance be with her beautiful man again but her happiness is quickly dimmed when she learns that he’s in the middle of finalizing a divorce. One that has been in the works for over a year. Sara doesn’t want to be the “other woman” in a relationship and her fears of being the ”rebound” makes her hesitant to pursue anything with Ian. And Ian isn’t sure if he’s ready to give love a try again. His wife betrayed him in the worst way and his ability to trust has significantly diminished. Ian is a very successful movie producer and his work demands a lot of his time, and it’s one of the reasons his marriage fell apart.

Will Sara’s worst fears come to fruition? Is Ian truly into Sara or is she just a temporary fling?

”I’m yours, Lil. Fucked up and flawed. My past sucks. I’ve made a bunch of mistakes I’m embarrassed of. I just wanted to push them away and focus on my future. To focus on me and you because, baby, we aren’t ugly. Together we’re something pretty fucking amazing.”

K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield have written another hilarious and incredibly steamy romantic comedy! ”SUNDAYS ARE FOR HANGOVERS”, is an enemies-to-lovers story that is sure to be a smashing hit for these two authors. I hope that they continue to collaborate because their writing chemistry is pure gold! I will, without a doubt, read anything published by this duo.

I loved this book from beginning to end. It was a laugh-out-loud and panty melting good time. The plot was entertaining and the main characters were equally lovable. The couple had incredible chemistry. You could feel the sexual tension vibrating between them from the very start. Will Grant is one hell of a sexy nerd with his glasses and bow ties. Glasses and bow ties may sound unappealing but they work for him. Will is also one seriously HOT Alpha male!

Will and Lilith are next door neighbors who have been carrying on a bitter feud for the past year. Will is the president of the neighborhood association and has harassed Lil on more than one occasion for numerous offenses. The two take turns playing pranks on each other, but through it all, they both can’t deny they feel an attraction between them.

After one heated argument, Will can no longer control his desires and the two end up having explosive sex which only leaves them wanting more. The couple develops a feverish addiction for each other, but both Will and Lilith are holding something back that could end up tearing them apart.

REVIEW – THE CONTROVERSIAL PRINCESS (Smoke & Mirrors, #1) by Jodi Ellen Malpas

SYNOPSIS

Her father is The King of England.

Regarded as down to earth by the press and rebellious by The King, Princess Adeline refuses to bow to the royal expectations her title carries. She knows better than anyone that the united front of the royal family is nothing but smoke and mirrors – lies and secrets masked by power and privilege. She wants no part of it, and she will never surrender to The King’s demand to marry a man she does not love. But despite Adeline’s determination to retain her free will, she remains deeply unfulfilled, feeling caged and suffocated.

That is until she meets Josh Jameson. Drawn in by his confidence, Adeline is soon captivated by the scandalously sexy American actor. His ability to penetrate her defences overwhelms her – his touch is pure fire, and his allure overpowering. Nothing has ever made her feel so alive in a world where she’s otherwise slowly drowning. However, while Josh may be Hollywood royalty, he’s not actual royalty, and Adeline knows The King and his advisors will do everything in their power to keep them apart.

But Josh Jameson becomes the princess’s ultimate vice.

And although she bows to no one, she bows to him.

I’m hauled closer to him, my legs curling around his waist, my hold of him solid as our tongues dance, swirl, and plunge over and over. He tastes divine, feels divine. He is my heaven.

Get ready to go on a thoroughly scandalous and steamy journey with England’s most beloved and rebellious Royals…Princess Adeline Lockhart. She has got to be one of Jodi Ellen Malpas’s most strong-willed and bad ass Heroines! There hasn’t been a man yet who has managed to tame her, including her father, King Alfred of England. Fans of this amazing author are in for loads of her signature angst and fever-inducing steam. Not to mention another sinfully gorgeous, domineering alpha who is sure to get your hearts racing!

Princess Adeline is turning 30 and her father, the King, is demanding that she marry a man that he has deemed suitable for his daughter. The problem is, Adeline wants no part of this marriage. She refuses to marry a man she is not in love with and she’s not afraid to stand up to her father. She’s definitely one of her father’s biggest headaches’! Adeline jumps from one man to another. Never attempting to have a serious relationship because she knows anyone who is not considered an appropriate suitor will be chased off by the King and his minions. No man has ever been able to make her pulse race or to lose her composure until she meets Josh Jameson, Hollywood’s biggest and Oscar-winning actor. From the moment they meet there is no denying the out of this world attraction between them.

They waste no time in becoming intimate with each other. I have to admit I was shocked that a proper Princess would let an almost complete stranger debase her so quickly. Josh likes to dominate and Adeline is all too easily submitting to his will. This does end up freaking her out and she pushes Josh away to try and hold on to some form of control but after just a taste there is no way Josh is giving up on Adeline. Forbidden fruit is always the most tempting.

Adeline struggles with her overwhelming desire for Josh. He’s the first man who has sparked so many intense feelings inside of her and it scares her. She’s never allowed herself to get close to any man because she knows her father will ensure they disappear from her life. Not only is she afraid of losing Josh, she knows he’s only in England for a short time and is convinced that he sees her as another notch on his bedpost. But Josh truly seems to be a man with an out of control addiction when it comes to Adeline. He’s hooked and he will do whatever it takes to spend time with the beautiful Princess.

King Alfred always has eyes on his daughter. She’s never been able to keep secrets from him for too long. Will the two lovers be able to keep their romance from the King? Does Josh have genuine feelings for Adeline and if so, is there any possible way they can have more than a few stolen moments when their relationship would surely be condemned by the King?

REVIEW – REBEL HEART (Rush Series Duet, #2) by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

SYNOPSIS

From New York Times Bestselling authors Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland, comes the second book in a new, sexy duet. A full summer in a beach house became a lot more interesting when I met my new boss. More interesting…and complicated.

OMG!!! Be still my heart…

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are going to be responsible for some really STRONG heart palpitations, my poor ticker can hardly take it. Rush and Gia were such an amazing couple; never predictable and their chemistry, was super hot, off the charts.

Rush being a Rebel through and through, had a hard time accepting the situation surrounding Gia. On one side he could hardly keep away from her, but on the other, thinking about the cards they’ve been dealt with, made his head doubt that he could ever be the man she needs him to be.

Rush kept struggling, not knowing how to deal with the messed up situation, and even though the only thing he is sure of is the fierce love he feels for Gia, he’s not sure there could be a future with them.

For Gia the hardest part was having to see Rush every day, protecting her, spoiling her, yet not being able to be with her. Her love and craving for Rush are unlike anything she’s ever felt before and it was killing her to have to give him space to sort things out.

As these two lovers figure out their future, us readers go on a crazy journey, packed with a lot of angst and uncertainty. Luckily for us, these two authors come through with one amazing conclusion to this highly gratifying read.

Book one and two were both equally amazing. I always love it when Penelope and Vi write books together, and this duet makes the perfect summer, romance read. Simply fantastic!

Get ready for a ton of angst and pulse-quickening steam in this conclusion to the ”Rush Series Duet”. Keeland and Ward have yet again managed to write another fabulous story that is sure to keep their readers engrossed until the very end! I’ve loved so many of their charismatic Heroes and Rush is definitely being added to the list!

Just when Rush and Gia have fallen head over heels in love they are thrown an unexpected curveball that complicates their new relationship, but they soon realize that their feelings are too strong to walk away from each other. Then, an even bigger surprise is revealed and this one is devastating and a tough pill for Rush to swallow. It ends up developing into a huge rift between Rush and Gia. No matter how upsetting the news is, the two are still madly in love and neither time nor distance can diminish their feelings.

Their relationship will be put to the test in more ways than one which is what I attribute the overabundance of angst to in this story! But if you have read any of the books these two authors have written then you know that in the end, you will not be disappointed!

REVIEW – ROGUE ROYALTY (Savage Trilogy #3) by Meghan March

SYNOPSIS

New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Meghan March concludes the story of her next devastating and damaged anti-hero in the final book in the Savage Trilogy, Rogue Royalty.

Unthinkable. Unbelievable. Inconceivable.

I don’t recognize what my life has become. I can’t tell where the lies end and the truth begins anymore.

He came into my world and urged me out of my safe little corner.

All my dreams are coming true except the one thing I want most—my own happy ending.

But I’ll fight for it.

For now.

For always.

Meghan March delivers a heart-pounding thrill ride with this decadently naughty conclusion to the ”Savage Trilogy”. Ladies, there is a new alpha in town and he is giving Mount a run for his money. I can’t decide which Hero is more dominant and sexy!! I’m definitely going to need some time to think this over!

I felt as if I were on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading this one. My nerves were on pins and needles. Rest assured that in the end, all of our questions will be answered. Nothing of this story can be revealed since it could very well ruin your reading pleasure.

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I have!
