PLAYBOY is one decadently steamy read! Katy Evans has yet again created another charismatic Alpha Male Hero, who is sure to get her reader’s pulses racing! This fifth installment of the ”Manwhore” series was pure unadulterated fun! While Malcolm Saint is, by far, the most swoon-worthy of all the Heroes in this series, I can’t deny that Cullen Carmichael comes in a close second. He’s the epitome of the tall, dark and handsome alpha with a bad boy image that made him even more appealing. While I usually tend to love Katy’s Heroes, I always seem to have a tough time liking her Heroines and that was the case with Wynn as well. At times, she seemed to create unnecessary drama which made it hard for me to really like her character.

Wynn and Cullen run into each other at an illegal underground high stakes poker game. She’s there on a date with a man who loses her to Cullen when he’s dealt a bad hand. At first, she doesn’t realize who Cullen is but before the night is over she recognizes him as her best friend Livvy’s brother-in-law. Cullen ends up winning the game and claims that Wynn was his good luck charm. When the two run into each other a few days later, the flirting begins and soon they make a naughty wager that has Wynn flying to Vegas with Cullen to be his companion at a poker championship game.

 

Cullen has been captivated by Wynn from the moment he saw her, and she has no clue. He’s pulling out all the stops to woo her while they’re together in Vegas, and what starts off as a no strings attached arrangement is quickly turning into something more. The passion that ignites between this couple is off the charts smoking hot! I mean like a FIVE ALARM FIRE.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Once the sexy times start, it’s on! Cullen is one insatiable and truly giving lover.

The two have quite a few obstacles in their way. Wynn is afraid of jumping into a serious relationship. She’s still damaged by her breakup with Emmett, which nearly crushed her and knows that if Cullen breaks her heart, it will destroy her because what she feels for Cullen far surpasses anything she’s ever felt for the previous men in her life. Cullen and Wynn also each have secrets that they fear will put an end to their romance.

 

 

I loved the first 95% of this book and had to deduct half a star for the super long epilogue that got too sugary sweet. There was an added surprise that I thought was completely unnecessary, but other than that this was one incredibly fun summer read!

It’s time to catch up with all of the beloved characters from the CHAOS MC along with a few from Kristen Ashley’s ”Dream Man” series. I do love a good MC romance and WILD LIKE THE WIND was filled with off the charts STEAM, as well as being one epic love story!

Keely has been a CHAOS widow for over eighteen years. When she lost Black, it was as if her soul died with him. Throughout the years there was one constant in her life—Hound. He was always there to take care of her and her two boys, Dutch and Jagger. Whatever they needed Hound provided. What no one seemed to know was that Hound had always been secretly in love with Keely, even before Black’s death, but he kept those feelings locked up tight. It would go against the code of CHAOS to go after another brother’s woman, even if he had passed on. But after eighteen years of mourning, Keely was ready to move on, and she wanted to do that with Hound.

Keely finally realized that she was falling in love with Hound. She saw all that he had been doing for her and her boys and was able to open her heart to him. It would take a little convincing on her part, but eventually, Hound would give in to her advances. They did keep their relationship a secret since it was in violation of Chaos code. Hound also made it clear that nothing serious could develop between them because of his loyalty to Chaos.

There was no way that Hound and Keely would be able to go their separate ways. They were in too deep. But how can they live out their lives happily together when the ghost of Keely’s dead husband still lingers between them, and their union is considered “forbidden” by Chaos?

I have to mention that there was such a tenderness to Hound that I found so surprising but that also made his character the most endearing. His love for his neighbor, who was an eight-five-year-old lady, was beyond heartwarming. He is my favorite badass Chaos alpha!!!

I’d gotten lost in love and found the reality at the end of it where I now lived in the truth. Not all love stories come with happy endings.

 

 

Kate Stewart truly is one seriously talented author. At this point, I come to expect perfection from her and she has more than delivered that with ”SOMEONE ELSE’S OCEAN”! I am so in LOVE with this story and I know romance readers everywhere will feel the same! Ian and Koti just might be Kate’s HOTTEST couple to date. Their chemistry SIZZLES!!

 

 

Ian and Koti met many years ago on the island of St. Thomas, where their parents owned adjacent vacation homes. Even though there was an eight-year age gap between them, the two managed to become the best of friends. But life took them in different directions and it’s been nearly twenty years since they’ve seen each other–until now. Ian’s world has been rocked to its core and he’s run off to St. Thomas to do some soul-searching.

 

 

Koti went through her own soul-searching journey the previous year and has made St. Thomas her home. When she sees Ian going through rough times, she tries to comfort her old friend, but Ian is angry at the world and behaves unbelievably rude towards Koti. The two spend a lot of time bickering and getting into heated arguments but little by little Koti is able to break through Ian’s barriers and old childhood friends start to become something more.

 

Ian has been hurt by his Ex’s deceitful actions and they share custody of a charming teenaged daughter. His life isn’t free of entanglements and his time on the island has a set expiration date. Home is where his daughter is. But while they both know that their time together is due to end they just can’t seem to stay away from each other.

 

 

 

No man has ever captured Koti’s heart until Ian came back into her life. She never believed in love until Ian showed her how beautiful life could be when you found your true soul mate. But her life is very much planted in St. Thomas. How can these two find happiness when there are thousands of miles between them?

The level of angst in this story nearly destroyed my heart. And I guarantee you’ll want to shake the hell out of both Ian and Koti for their stupid stubbornness. I’m so crazy about this story. Just when I think Kate can’t top her last book, she goes and proves me wrong. I am amazed at how her writing gets even more exquisite. I literally highlighted nearly 75% of this book! Her words touch my heart and soul!

A standing ovation to author Kate Stewart for writing this phenomenal story. The beautiful beach setting, the lovely and multidimensional characters, and the intense passion in almost every chapter make Someone Else’s Ocean an epic summer read.

 

 

Koti Vaughn comes from an important family in New York. She used to be part of the high ranks in society, complete with a high powered job, and a killer wardrobe. From the outside anyone could see she had it all, but at what price?

After one faithful event, Koti was done with that New York life, she packed one suitcase, and left everything and everyone behind. She moved to the one place where she remembered being happy last, the beautiful island of St. Thomas.

Her life didn’t magically change, but she has the life she truly wants. Candles and wine, ocean view, and a best friend that is also her savior.

Koti works with her best friend Jasmine managing a vacation rental company. Her neighbors house is one of the homes she manages and when she notices that their son shows up unannounced ruining all the previous rental agreements , she’s ready to move him to a hotel. Ian is recently divorced, his pride and joy is his daughter Ella, everything he does is for her. He was married for fourteen years to a woman who made him sacrifice a lot in his life for her, and now he discovers that she’s been hiding the most awful secret that might destroy him for once and for all.

Like Koti, Ian too fled to the island looking for peace, for answers, for clarity. They knew each other when they were kids and spent one summer by the beach, but now the only thing they have in common are , heavy emotional baggage.

Their friendship rekindles once again, and quickly new feelings are born between them. The beach, the moon and the stars will be the witnesses for a passionate affair that they both know can have no future. But the heart wants what it wants, and even if these two characters fight it, love and heart break will light up the beaches of their beloved island.

My favorite thing about this story was the father/ daughter aspect. Ian was not only sexy, tormented, brooding and dirty mouthed, but he was also the most caring father to his daughter. Like Koti he wasn’t perfect, and I loved that too. Kate Stewart created these characters with as many flaws as beauty, humanizing them in such a way that the story felt raw and real at every turn. What a magnificent story. Another thing I loved while reading this book was Koti’s and Jasmine’s friendship, it added the perfect amount of humor and sensitivity to an already great plot, and let’s not forget about cute Disco, the puppy, she was the star of the book, LOVE HER!!!!

The reason why I love reading a Stylo Fatôme book is that she writes the exact kind of dark I want to read, and she’s not afraid to do it and writes it so beautifully.

 

 

Church is a character like no other; a strikingly beautiful man that terrorizes everyone around him without even speaking one word. He is odd, extremely smart, and complicated. His father has recently married a woman, and she has a daughter, Emma.

Emma comes from a trailer park, her mother has abused her and neglected her since she was born. Every husband and boyfriend her mother has ever had, has abused Emma in some way or another, including her own father.

Church and Emma are both dark and broken, and from the moment they met, it was like looking in a mirror inside their own souls. Finally, they have found someone who understands the kind of darkness they each carry inside. Instead of becoming victims, both Church and Emma bask in the pain and embrace the brokenness, and use it to enjoy life.

Their story is passionate, obsessive, dark and totally delectable. The book ends on a mild cliffhanger, nothing crazy that will make you pull your hair out, but a promise that there is more to come, and I CAN’T WAIT!!!

ALL YOUR PERFECTS is COHO’s latest and I found this one to be captivating. It is one unbearably angsty read but I loved every minute of it. This is why I’ve always considered Colleen Hoover to be one of the most truly gifted authors out there today. It’s been a while since I read a story about a married couple’s struggle to keep their love alive and this one was unbelievably gripping!! Even when things seemed completely hopeless for Graham and Quinn, I kept on praying that somehow they’d find their way back to the couple they once were.

Graham and Quinn Wells started off their romance in the most unconventional way but when their story unfolds you realize they were always meant to be. These two epitomize the definition of true soul mates. The story goes back and forth between past and present. We get to witness their love blossom and grow through the alternating chapters that take us to their past and then we feel the utter despair that consumes them both in the present due to their struggles with infertility. The couple who once couldn’t go a day without making love have now gone without intimacy for months. Quinn is just a shell of the woman she used to be because she feels broken for being unable to conceive children. She slowly starts to withdraw from Graham.

She thinks her subtle ways of avoidance are not noticeable to Graham but he knows his wife better than anyone. She’s the other half of his soul and he dies a little inside every day knowing he can’t ease her pain. While I understood Quinn’s devastation, I found her to be the most frustrating character. Graham was incredible! I loved him to the moon and back. He is definitely going on my list of top favorite characters created by Colleen Hoover. This man was beautiful inside and out. His love for his wife was unparalleled. I felt the couple’s heartache so deeply. I have to warn those of you who are afraid of angst that you might need a bottle of wine to get through this one but to avoid reading this book would be a travesty! This is COHO at her best!

If I hadn’t been so enraptured by the moment, I might’ve worried that what I felt in my heart was a lot more than a kiss.

 

 

Vi Keeland’s latest, THE NAKED TRUTH, is an off the charts steamy second chance romance. Once I had the time to really sit down with this book and give it 100% of my focus, it really was hard to put down. The chemistry between Gray and Layla was intense. I love a romance where the Hero is out of his mind in love with the Heroine and because of it, his possessiveness knows no bounds. Gray Westbrook is one seriously charismatic alpha male who is going down as one of my favorite Heroes created by Vi.

 

 

Layla Hutton is a lawyer at one of the most prestigious law firms in NYC. She gets the surprise of her life when her boss calls her into his office to meet a potential big client who wants her to represent him. She comes face to face with Gray Westbrook, a man who once had her heart but over a year ago he broke it, and she’s never fully recovered from it. Gray makes it clear that he’s come back into her life determined to win her back.

Didn’t she understand that any joy I had found in that time of cold, dark nothingness was shallow compared to the depth of happiness I’d found with her? Didn’t she realize that I had barely been alive back then? Didn’t she understand that my life began with her? She had nothing to envy. She was my everything.

 

 

It’s been five years since I read the first book in this series and I remember just how much I enjoyed it…mainly because of Hudson. He was one sexy billionaire alpha male with a wicked streak in him. He enjoyed messing with people’s minds and lives. He was wicked like Ryan Phillippe’s character in “Cruel Intentions”, but just like that character, deep down Hudson had an empathetic heart. I felt Hudson shined in this last installment to the ”Fixed” series. For most of the book, I had a hard time liking Alayna. I never really did love her character, but I understood why she always felt so insecure and battled with feelings of jealousy. I think it would be hard for anyone who had to constantly run into their husbands ex-lovers and to always question his feelings since he was once the master of deception.

 

 

 

Hudson and Alayna have been married for several years and have three young children. They’ve settled into a very warm and loving relationship. Alayna still has her “moments” of anxiety which make her act a little crazy but Hudson takes it all in stride. He loves his wife and all her idiosyncrasies. Not for one moment does he view her as weak or make her feel as if she’s broken. All he does is cherish her and wants nothing more than to keep his precious family safe. He’s been on high alert because Hudson has been receiving very cryptic and scary letters that indirectly threaten Alayna and his children. Hudson tries to keep this from Alayna because she has been having a rough time after the birth of their twins and her anxiety levels had been on an all-time high.

 

 

Hudson thinks the person might be someone he’s played evil games with during his past. So he has his security team contact every person he can think of from his past who might have a vendetta against him in hopes of finding the person that’s been sending the letters. But as Hudson gets to hear how his cruelty has impacted people’s lives negatively, he also battles with his conscience. I loved that Laurelin Paige used this plot to bring about Hudson’s redemption. He never truly showed remorse over all of his wicked games he played with people’s lives and getting to see him face his actions and witnessing how truly sorry he felt made me love him that much more.

 

 

There’s a healthy dose of steaminess that will get everyone’s temperatures rising. I mean how could Hudson not melt a few panties?? I wasn’t prepared for how much I ended up loving this one. I don’t know why there was ever a doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t enjoy it. I think it’s because I’ve seen a few good series go downhill when the author drags it out for too long. But honestly, I think this was the perfect ending! And get ready for the thrill ride this author takes you on towards the end of the book! I was on the edge of my seat!!

The embers of attraction were always there, I’ve come to realize. All it took was one little kiss to blow on the ashes and make them roar to life.

 

 

LOVE MACHINE is one seriously sexy and even sweet ”friends to lovers” romance. It is one of my most favorite tropes but I feel like lately, I haven’t gotten enough. From the moment I saw the cover, I was in hardcore lust!! Kendall Ryan has been raising the bar lately with her book covers. Now, I am a really big fan of hers and this woman seems to be a writing machine. It’s almost as if every month she has a new release out. So nine times out of ten I end up loving her stories and there was a moment when I thought I was not going to connect with this book.

The two main characters, Slate and Keaton, have been best friends since college. I just thought it odd that neither had ever felt an attraction towards each other until Keaton asks Slate to be her “sex tutor”. The roles are reversed in this story. While Slate is a drop dead gorgeous man who gets all the ladies, it is he who ends up falling hard and doing all the pining while Keaton, the nerdy girl, wants to keep the friendship and is not wanting to venture into relationship territory! I really found her to be annoying and extremely frustrating.

 

 

While the sexy times are hot as hell, I didn’t feel the chemistry between them because of Keaton and her complete blindness to the situation that was developing between her and Slate. It wasn’t till I got almost halfway through the book that things started to work for me and boy did my heart melt for Slate. He absolutely made this book for me.

What are the odds?

Wow! I think I’m going to be dreaming of Loren for days and days…

Sorry, I’m just still in awe with this hero. Loren is so EVERYTHING that I swear to God I feel the imprint of his hand burning all over my body. But back to the book, what can I say?–it’s Claire Contreras, I mean we know the woman can write one hell of a story. With this book, I don’t know what she was on, but keep giving it to her because she blew it out of the park with BYM. This book has action, hot romance, an explosive plot, and delicious characters that will keep you entertained and heavily excited throughout the entire read.

Loren is an Italian Alpha Male with trust issues (can’t get any better than that, right?) and Cat is a professional ballerina, who is the daughter of a mobster and is trying to escape the life, but the bullets eventually find her, and luckily for us, so does Loren.

 

 

This book has a red-hot premise for a fantastic series that will not disappoint and for sure will become everybody’s favorite.
