After having finished this series, I can say with certainty that this is my favorite by Katy Regnery!! I could not wait to dive into Book Two after having finished book one the other day. I think Ms. Regnery should make it a point to write more paranormal romances. She did an absolutely fabulous job!! I was so completely wrapped up in this story that I barely left my couch the entire day.

At the end of book one, Darcy finds out that Jack is a werewolf and her heart is broken into pieces. Her fear causes her to lash out at Jack and she tells him to leave town. This annihilates Jack, but he does end up leaving Carlisle for a family matter. Things back home get completely out of control due to his impulsive half-sister and her actions cause big trouble for Jack and Darcy. No one knew about his binding to Darcy because it goes against all their rules for a Roux ga Roux (werewolf) to be in love with a human. If the pack were to find out about Darcy, they would stop at nothing to end her life. Jack goes back home with his brother Julien in order to protect Darcy and to catch his sister, Lela, who they know is on her way to Carlisle in order to kill Darcy.

Jack shows up at Darcy’s and tells her about the danger she and her family is in because of his sister and convinces her to come home with him so that the people she loves are safe and he will do everything to protect her. Darcy finds it hard to hold on to her anger towards Jack because their binding is so powerful and the love she feels for Jack is unrelenting. Eventually, the two will be giving in to their raw need for each other and it’s then that Darcy realizes that she loves all the parts of Jack. He proves to her that even in his werewolf form that he could never hurt her.

Just when Darcy thinks one issue is resolved Jack will reveal another secret that could end up tearing this couple apart forever. Can this couple find their happily ever after when there is so much stacking against them?? Is their binding strong enough to survive when one of them loses their way?

WOW!!! That’s the feeling I had after finishing book one! I also think I need to make it a point to read some more paranormal romances, especially those that feature werewolves!! IT’S YOU had a very sexy and fairytale-ish feel to it. I literally devoured this amazing book. Tales of soul mates and undying love really are just a part of what makes this one so unputdownable.

Darcy Turner is a single thirty-five-year-old woman who has lived in Carlisle, New Hampshire for most of her life. She has never come close to getting married and is considered a spinster by her family and the people of Carlisle. There’s a reason no one has been able to win her heart, it’s already been taken by the beautiful boy who she shared the most incredible kiss with twenty years ago when she was just sixteen. From the moment Jack Beauloup showed up during his senior year of high school, Darcy was beyond smitten. She followed him around like a lovesick puppy.
