Dyken.
Blaire has never
quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough
to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was

divorce him less than a year later?
Now Blaire is
getting even by becoming one half of Dirty Exes, a PI firm fully committed to
humiliating cheating jerks. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover
wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself.
Exposing Jessie
isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy
smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s
gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop

“What’s with you and nakedness?”
“It’s how we’re born.” I smirked. “Easy.”
“I was also born with crooked teeth and no hair, so I should
revert back to that?”
“Actually,” I licked my lips, “You were born without teeth,
unless God made you extra special…” I pushed away from the counter. “Did he?”
She plastered her ass against the door and looked up at me.
“Did he what?”
“Make you extra special?”
“Why are we in the bathroom?”
“It think it was a power move on your part, lock me in here,
tell me how things are going to be, maybe add in a spanking and teach me my
lesson—“
“—why do I even talk to you?” Blaire wondered out
loud.
“Because I’m not boring. Like some football players…”
“You never played football.”
“Guilty. I was more of a rugby sort of guy, what prick wears
padding?”
She eyed me skeptically, “No offense but don’t Rugby players
have a bit more…” She gulped and looked down past my waist, “Okay this is
coming out wrong but… thicker—“
The more she talked the redder she got like she couldn’t
bring her eyes up any higher without doing permanent damage to her
retinas.
I grinned so hard my face hurt. “Thicker?”
“Um,” She pressed a hand to her forehead. “Legs, damn it,
legs!”
“Totally thought you were going somewhere else with that,
spy girl.”
She made a face and crossed her arms. “Stop calling me that,
it makes me feel young, stupid, and inexperienced.”
“Like a virgin?” I said helpfully. “Touched for the very
first time?” She muttered
out a dear God what did I do in a past life to deserve him.
I took it as a compliment and pressed my hands against the
door on either side of her head. “I think you’re asking yourself the wrong
question.”
She frowned, “I didn’t say anything.”
“No, but you’re thinking it.” I whispered. “You’re wondering
what the hell you’re doing in here instead of out there.”
She swallowed and looked away.
I tilted her face back towards mine, my finger and thumb
cradling her chin. “The past always looks better through I got fucked over
glasses.” I got a bit closer, so close I could taste the mint from her gum.
“You think you still want him. You’re wrong.”
She inhaled sharply. “You don’t know me.”
“I know you blush from here,” I tapped her chin then ran my
hand down the slim column of her neck until it pressed against her chest. “To
here, when you get embarrassed,” I leaned in and whispered in her ear. “Or
turned on.”
She blushed immediately.
I kissed her neck and said. “Told you so.”
She shoved me away so fast I almost got whiplash. “This,”
She took another deep breath. “This is business.”
“This?” I pointed between her and me. “Is more than
business, but whatever helps you sleep at night spy girl… just be sure to let
me know when you want it to get more personal because I’d love to see every
inch of blush infused skin, and I’d love to eat my way—“
“—No.” Shed jammed her finger at me. “When I called you, you
literally had to kick a woman out of bed.”
“Two, actually.” I shrugged, “Not that it matters.”
“See!”
“So? I like women.”
“I’m not them.”
“No,” I said seriously. “You’re not. If you were, this would
already be finished.”
“There is no… this, or us, beyond you helping me get info on
Jessie and Vanessa.”
“Sure.” I nodded. “Fine.”
“Why don’t I believe you?”
“Because I just lied.” I admitted with a grin, “But at least
you know where I stand.”
“Oh yeah? Where’s that?”
“In front of you.” I smirked. “Obviously.” I walked towards
her again and reached for the door knob, “Look I’m just a guy standing in front
of a girl asking her to—“
“—finish that sentence and I’m going to show you my kung fu
skills.”

Model: Victorio Piva
Release Date: June 26, 2018

Blurb
She was
the one thing holding him together. Until she was gone.
And then
there was whiskey.
Fallon Gentry has spent the last decade reliving one dark night in
his head. The moment he lost the woman he loved when a single blink cascaded
into a series of events that stole both of their lives. Now his nights are
spent playing music in southern honky-tonks and nursing the memory of her the
only way he knows how–at the bottom of a whiskey bottle.
A brief stint in Nashville, a hit song, and a brush with Hollywood
couldn’t bring him closer to God, but when the ghost of Augusta Belle Branson
appears in his corner of another lonely dive bar late after dark, he’s forced
to confront everything he thought he knew about that fateful night, and a few
things he didn’t.
He’s her
contradiction, she’s his salvation.
A firestorm of emotion consumes them when they come together after ten
lost years, every moment more revealing, more unpredictable, more intoxicating
than the next until the only reckoning left for Fallon is the one he must make
with himself. But this time, fate may have left an after-burn too bitter to
swallow. This time, he may lose his whiskey girl for good.
An unforgettable, epic love story about two lost
souls who, against all odds, find themselves through their passion and music.
Filled with raw emotion, this lyrical, all-the-feels masterpiece may catapult
Adriane Leigh into the league of Colleen Hoover, Brittainy Cherry, and L.J.
Shen. — Nelle L’Amour, New York Times Bestselling author of THAT MAN

Excerpt
One
Fallon
The first time I met Augusta Belle Branson she was fixin’ on
killin’ herself.
Said the minute I’d walked up, she was tryin’ to decide if
jumpin’ off the bridge in the center—where the water was deep and the current
stronger, would be a swifter end–or if jumping near the edge, where jagged
limestone labs anchored the slow moving current awaited her.
Certain death for sure.
I replayed the split-second when the blinding summer sun
opened through the orange oak leaves, a halo of warmth enveloping her.
Like an angel, stardust sparkling straight from Heaven,
ploppin’ her in my path.
And then she turned, the most startling shade of liquid
amber eyes breathing something real and alive, like fire, into my soul.
That same something I’d been runnin’ from, or chasin’,
dependin’ on how you looked at it, just about everyday since.
I settled myself on the lone wooden stool that awaited at
center stage, my thoughts drawing back to the present. My head swam, but the
old familiar chords drove on through the current of whiskey in my blood,
strumming the first few notes of a song I wrote a lot of nights ago by the
sheer act of muscle memory.
Old acoustic guitar resting on my knee, my first and third
fingers in position on the strings, the opening chords of Whiskey Girl bled
from my fingers.
Every chord, another dagger.
Every whispered lyric, my undoing.
I still don’t know what the fuck had overtaken me the night
I’d written Whiskey Girl in a fevered rush.
Well, the booze may have played a factor, but I happened to
think my best shit came out of uninhibited states.
I’d just had a fuck ton of uninhibited states recently.
And the harder the liquor, the more she haunted me.
Whiskey Girl.
My poisoned lullaby.
The crowd of a few hundred erupted into a standing ovation
when I ended with the final, emotion-charged words.
The irony that this song was the one that’d launched my
career, the first single to hit radio waves and then the top spot on the
Billboard charts brought reporters, music executives, long last family members
that I wasn’t even really sure I was related to, and too much other scum with
an end game that carried dollar signs to my front doorstep.
I’d moved to Nashville a rising star, and left two years
later, middle finger in the air as I tossed my once promising music career out
with last night’s liquor bottles in favor of the open road.
Chasing something.
Not finding the one thing I needed.
Playing local honky-tonks for a fraction of the money I
could have made.
But truth was, the road is the only place I could find my
happy.
A familiar ball of pain formed in my throat as I stood,
pushing my guitar over one shoulder and bowing deeply. I couldn’t see a single
face behind the glaring stage lights, but still, some part of me pretended she
could be out there, that I was singing to her.
That she would hear her song and find her way back to me.
After hundreds of faceless crowds and too many bottles of
Tennessee whiskey to bother counting, I still felt the pull inside me to travel
every town in America if that’s what it took to find her.
Hell, maybe she was happily married with a few kids, a dog,
and a fucking minivan by now.
I nodded my head, giving one last wave to the crowd in the
dark beyond, then left the stage, taking the steps two at a time and angling
past the curtains to head for the tiny-ass dressing room this dive bar provided
for another chug of amber gold, before packing my shit into my truck and
hitting the road.
I pushed a hand through my hair, thinking maybe a shower
would be in order before I bailed when a curvy little thing backed right up
into me.
My palms landed on her shoulders, warm blonde waves falling
in a cascade over one side. The heady scent of peaches and honey filled my
nostrils, my eyes slammed closed and brought me back to summer nights under a
giant oak, fireflies melting together with the stars above like a painting.
“Sorry, I just dropped my phone.” The sweet-scented creature
spun, brilliant smile falling off her face when our eyes made contact for the
first time.
Every cold-hearted memory slammed into my chest like a
pallet of bricks.
I narrowed my eyes, gaze tracing the familiar, yet
unfamiliar angles of her porcelain face.
She was thinner now, cheeks sharp slashes of bone that highlighted
her always-devastating round eyes and full lips. It was her alright. I’d know
this woman anywhere.
“Hi, Fallon.” I’d been dreamin’ of this moment for the
better part of a decade and still, my heart wasn’t prepared for those two
words. My name on her lips left me with a toxic reaction.
My whiskey girl.
My damnation and my savior.
“I need a fucking minute.” I dropped her shoulders, her
touch still haunting my fingertips, and walked straight down the narrow
hallway, pushing the rusted back door open so hard the hinges protested.
Warm, autumn air filled my lungs, replacing the empty
feeling that seeing her again had left.
“Fallon…” Hell, she’d followed me out.
And hell if wanted her to, but I didn’t not want her to
either.
The emotions bombarding my mind were just a-fucking-bout
unbearable.
“I said, I need a fucking minute.” The sentence more of a
growl than I intended. Before she could reply I stomped across the potholed
parking lot, aimed for my heavy-duty Ford.
I yanked the door open, digging behind the driver seat for a
fresh bottle of my favorite recipe.
I couldn’t be bothered to retrieve the half-full bottle I’d
left in my dressing room, I had to get as far the fuck away from her just to
clear my head and process what her being here even meant.
My hands circled the neck of the bottle and I opened it in a
flash, chugging back the first warm bite of pleasure I’d been craving.
I tossed the cap on my dash and fished the keys out of my
pocket, about to climb into the cab and make hay when fingertips painted a dark
navy filtered into my vision and back out again, my goddamn truck keys hanging
from one finger.
“Fuck,” I bit, crawling out of the cab and swiping for the
keys.
My reactions were a helluva lot slower than I thought they
were, how much of that bottle had I drank before the show? I shook the thought
from my head, realizing this was probably about close to my average state of
play on any given day. Runnin’ away from the life Augusta Belle and I’d had
took something out of me. Something only whiskey could fill.
“I don’t care what your stupid ass does on your own time,
but you’re not dying on mine, Fallon Gentry.”
My head pounded then, a whole fucking sentence out of her
pretty pink lips, my body’s old dependable reaction to her infuriating every
cell of me.
I’d never been in control when it came to Augusta, shouldn’t
have been surprised that it was no different now.
“As irritating as ever, I see.” I bit, swiping for my keys
one more time and missing, before I stumbled off around her, whiskey bottle
clutched in my hand and hell on my mind.
Augusta was back and there wasn’t enough whiskey in the
state of Tennessee to help me deal.

They call him the Anaconda, and I’m pretty sure it isn’t
because he likes snakes.
Nick Jenson is my neighbor. My hot, oh-so-sexy,
very-well-equipped neighbor that I’d spend hours watching from the safety of my
bedroom window.
I saw lots of things I probably shouldn’t have. Sometimes
I’d touch myself, imagining it were his hands roaming over my body instead of
my own. I had just one mission—to find out if the rumors were true.
Then one day, he caught me watching him.
I was mortified. I was prepared to quit college, move to
another country, and live the rest of my life saying, “Nick who?” But,
apparently, life had other ideas.
Because Nick? Well, he isn’t just my neighbor … He’s also my
father’s best friend. If I thought things were difficult before, they were
about to get a whole lot more complicated.

Oh, and those rumors? Holy fuck, are they true …

Standing on the balcony, outside my boss’s apartment,
wearing only my underwear?

Not how I expected to start my Saturday morning.

I guess I should’ve thought harder about going home with my sexy new gym instructor,
especially since I had no idea the guy was married. When he pushed me out onto
the balcony, five seconds before his wife walked through the door, I jumped one
apartment over because I thought it would be less embarrassing for a stranger
to find me than his wife.

That was a smart move.

So here I am, wearing next to nothing and freezing my ass off, standing outside
the living room window of my young, sexy, and very intimidating boss, Chase
Winston.

I have two choices: I sit here and try to think of another way out of this and
risk dying of hypothermia. Or I can suck it up and knock on that window. After
a long, internal argument with myself, I choose
option two.

Here goes nothing…

There’s nothing quite like watching your professor as he
motorboats a stripper.

The expression on his face when he looked up and saw me standing there would’ve
been funny if I wasn’t so mortified. I wanted to turn around and run, but I
couldn’t do that to Jake. It was his bachelor party, after all.

So, instead, we stumbled our way through the world’s most awkward conversation,
because what do you say after witnessing that?

At least things couldn’t get much worse, right?

Wrong.

The real fun began when the guys figured out how we knew each other.

Have you ever heard of the term frottage? Yeah, neither had I. Just like I’d
completely underestimated how awkward it would be getting a lap dance from
another woman while my professor watches, or how turned on I’d be.

My first mistake was going there in the first place.
My second mistake was not leaving the moment I saw him.
My third mistake, and the one I regret most?

Applying for that TA position with him last week…

It’s closing time and Vikki and I are busy cleaning, so we
can get home. My phone beeps with an incoming text and I look down at it and growl.
“You can’t be serious.” Staring back at me isn’t a text from Jake, but from
Anonymous. Even though I deleted and blocked the number ninety days ago, I
still recognize it.
Vikki moves closer, her eyes wide. “What’s going on?”
I show her the text.
Anonymous: 31773?
Brows furrowed, she sits back. “What does that mean?” I turn
my phone upside down, so she can see that the number spells out my name. Her
eyes widen. “Wow, that’s cool you can type your name with numbers.”
“But not so cool when I don’t know who the person is,” I
counter. “About three months ago, I got texts from this exact same person.
Whoever it is likes to play games. I’m sick of it and I want them to leave me
alone.” Taking a deep breath, I type out a reply.
Me: WHO IS THIS?
Anonymous: Why
all the yelling?
I roll my eyes. This is just ridiculous.
Me: I like using
all caps.
Anonymous: Don’t
stop on my account. So, what have you been up to? Been a while since we talked.

Me: Yeah, it’s
because I blocked the number.
Anonymous: Why?
Me: BECAUSE I
DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!
“What is he saying?” Vikki asks. I show her the texts and
her eyes widen. “So, you haven’t talked to him since you blocked the number?”
I think back to when I blocked it and if my calculations are
correct, the ninety days was up yesterday. “No, but he has perfect timing. My
ninety days ran up yesterday. I might need to run to the cell store and see if
they can block it permanently.”
My phone beeps again and a sharp pain settles in my gut. I
just want whoever it is to leave me alone.
Anonymous: That
hurts. You’ve always been friendly toward me.
Me: Obviously not
friendly enough, if you can’t tell me who you are. It’s weird and it makes me
uncomfortable. You need to leave me the hell alone. Don’t text, call, or try to
contact me in any way. I’m happily married, and I want it to stay that way.
GOODBYE!
Heart racing, I log into my cell phone account and before I
can block the number, another text comes through.
Anonymous: Sorry
31773 but that’s not going to happen.
The blood in my veins runs cold. Hands shaking, I block his
number and my phone drops onto the table. Vikki picks it up and reads the final
text, her face growing pale.
“I don’t think this person’s going away.”

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

The ”Awkward Love” series has been incredibly sexy, hilarious, and enjoyable so far. Each couple’s relationship has started off after a quite embarrassing situation but the one in ”TOO MUCH INFORMATION” wins the prize!

Laura Black is starting her third year of residency in the E.R. at Mercy General. It’s been quite some time since she’s been in a relationship and also just as long since she’s had sex. Laura winds up in a terribly embarrassing predicament involving a sex toy that requires urgent medical attention. To save face, she goes to a hospital in a different town thinking she’ll never have to see any of the staff that works there ever again. Her luck gets exponentially worse when her attending doctor is drop-dead gorgeous, Luke Dillon. Somehow after nearly dying from embarrassment on the exam table, the good doctor is able to resolve Laura’s issue, but unfortunately for her, this won’t be the last she sees of the good doctor. Fate keeps throwing them in each other’s path.

A few days later at a get together at her brother’s house, she runs into the sexy doctor again. To make things worse, her brother is attempting to set her up with Luke. Luke is Matt’s old college roommate and has been sleeping in his guest room while he waits to move into his new apartment. When Matt’s in-laws show up unexpectedly, he asks Laura if she could let Luke use her spare bedroom that she was planning on renting out anyway. Laura is yet again horrified that she has to come face to face on a daily basis with the man who was up close and personal with her private bits! But, that’s not the last of it, Luke is about to start his fellowship at the hospital she works at.

The two fumble through their first few weeks together as roommates and colleagues. Laura is struggling with the shame she feels over how they initially met, and Luke is desperate to ease Laura’s anxiety but unsure as to how to go about it.

When their romance starts to take off, the awkwardness subsides, but soon the past and painful secrets threaten to end things between them just as they were getting started.

“It’s me,”
she calls out. “Are you going to let me in?”
“It’s
open,” I manage to get out.
She walks
in, her eyes widening at the sight of me hunched over the couch, thighs
clenched, rocking back and forth on the floor. At least I’m not naked. I managed to half squirm my way into a
dress that I found lying on the floor in my room—though I must look a mess—with
only one arm through the hole and the skirt bunched up around my waist. Now
that I think about it, I’m not sure why I even bothered. She sprints over to
me, crouching down beside me.
“Jesus, are
you okay?” She glares at me as I let out a strangled sob. “Tell me what’s
wrong?” she says. She looks me over, her eyes wide with concern. “Were you
attacked? Did someone break in and rape you? Talk to me, Laura. Should I be
calling an ambulance? The police?” Her dark eyes study mine as I struggle to
form words to answer any of her questions. “For God’s sake, Laura. Say
something.”
“No
ambulance,” I mutter.
I groan and
clamp my legs together, gasping as my body begs for relief. This is a
nightmare. I point to the bedroom, where the box is still lying on the bed.
Becca stalks through to my room, returning a few seconds later with the box in
her hands. Her eyes widen, to the point where they’re nearly ready to fall out
of her head.
 “No fucking way,” she hisses.
I nod,
sweat pouring out of places I didn’t know sweat could form. She clasps her
hands over her mouth and stifles her laughter, before quickly kneeling down
next to me.
“What do
you want me to do? Dig it out? I’ll do that for you,” she says as I glare at
her. “Wait… I should’ve asked before offering. Front or back?”
“Becca,” I
growl, my voice high noting at the end.
“What? I’m
sorry, it was a legitimate question,” she cries, holding her hands up in
defense. “You know I don’t handle poop. How on earth did you manage to get it
stuck in there in the first place?” she asks, shaking her head.
“Can we
discuss this later, after it’s been
removed from my vagina?” I beg her.
“Yes, yes,
I’m sorry. Okay, let’s get you down to my car.”
“Car?” I
say, alarmed. “What happened to you offering to help me—”
“You
seriously want me digging around in there like I’m looking for loose change
down the back of the couch?” she asks seriously. Then she giggles, but she
stops when she sees my expression. “Sorry. Disturbing mental image. You
understand this is pushing the friendship boundaries, right?”
I nod
weakly. Oh, I understand it, all right.
She sighs
and helps me climb up properly onto the couch while I try to steady myself as
my body begins to convulse. God, not
again.
I wipe a layer of sweat off my forehead and rock back and forth,
riding out the orgasm as I whimper into the cushion. Then I gasp, clenching my
thighs again, until it passes.
“You’re
coming already? But I haven’t even worked my magic hands on you yet,” she
jokes, flexing her fingers. “Hey, do you have any kitchen gloves, or—”
“Just get
it out,” I beg her.
“Fine,” she
grumbles as she gets down onto her knees. She lifts up the skirt of my dress
and peers between my legs. “Hey, you smell really good. What kind of body wash
do you use?”
Becs.”

“Right,
sorry,” she mutters. “Focus.”

He was my first kiss and my first love. I wanted forever with him. I didn’t

had been as teenagers.
My medium is words and my imagination is limitless, but not

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****FIVE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

He stood and reached for my hand. I didn’t know what it was about that moment, but it was one I knew I would remember always. The way he looked in the moonlight. His wide palm held out to me, the look of interest on his face that matched my own. I slipped my hand into his and knew with certainty that my life would never be the same.

I knew just after having read a few chapters of this book that this was going to be an epic love story. It was literally ”unputdownable”!! The story flows so perfectly. I love it when my attention is grabbed from the very beginning and is never lost throughout. There were never any moments of boredom for me. This book had it all. An endearing Heroine, a terrific plot, scorching hot steam, and a seriously charismatic Hero who I couldn’t help but fall in love with from the moment he enters the story. Greyson Ratcliffe is one of those book boyfriends that will sweep you off your feet so wholly and effortlessly.

Alexis Owens was abandoned by her parents when she was only two-years-old. All she has is an old letter from her father telling her that she is loved. She has been loving with her foster parents for nearly fourteen years of her life and they were hardly what you would call ”loving” parental figures. They rarely paid much attention to her. She lived in their house as an invisible entity. Alexis turned to writing to ease her pain. She would create alternate realities through her stories and it helped her endure her dismal circumstances. While she wasn’t the most popular girl in school because to most she seemed a bit odd, she did have a few really close friends who became her surrogate family.

Her life is changed forever when she locks eyes with the most beautiful boy she’s ever seen on her favorite beach where she often goes to in order to be alone with her thoughts. She feels something pulling her to him and days after that one encounter, the boy has not left her thoughts in the least. She can’t believe her luck when he ends up being the new student at her high school and it gets even better when he walks into one of her classes.

For the first several chapters we get the story in Alexis’s POV and I was thinking that the entire book was only going to be in her narrative which I have to admit disappointed me because Greyson’s character was so intriguing from the very start that I was dying to know what was going on in his mind. I was ecstatic when the story then started to alternate between Greyson’s and Alexis’s POVs. To find out that he was feeling the same strong sense of connection to Alexis, had me floating on cloud nine.

Greyson has just moved from Ireland to the U.S. with his grandfather in order to pursue a very promising career as an artist. The plan is for Greyson to study with a world-renowned artist which will also include traveling around the globe to promote his art, right after his high school graduation. He never intended to fall in love so quickly with Alexis and now the thought of pursuing his dream and leaving her behind has left him with a heavy heart. While the two enjoy the short time they have together they both know that their love affair is nearing its end. Not only does Greyson have set plans for his future but Alexis also wants to pursue her dreams of becoming a famous writer. She has a full scholarship with NYU and her dream is to become a successful screenwriter for blockbuster Hollywood movies or a playwright for off-Broadway shows. While they would love nothing more than to stay together, they both know that the timing isn’t right for them but promise that in a few years they will reconnect and rekindle the love they shared.

Several years go by and Alexis has never forgotten about Greyson, nor has she moved on from him. He’s become a very famous and successful artist. His face is plastered on every magazine cover. If she even tried to avoid hearing about him, it would be nearly impossible. The two end up seeing each other again and it’s as if the years that were lost between them never existed. The spark is still very much alive and this time they vow that nothing will keep them apart. But there are threats looming over them that could potentially destroy their chance at happiness.

Here are my overall ratings:

Hero: 5++++
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5
Angst: 4
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

Crazy woman
from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a
necessity!), I have been writing since … forever? Yeah, that sounds about
right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see
shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m
clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs
more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I
do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the
year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a
curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t
understand me.
Yeah. I
think that about sums me up.
