SYNOPSIS

I knew from the synopsis that this book was going to be fabulous, and I can tell you that I was not disappointed in the least. I forgot just how much I love a really good forbidden romance and this may actually be a new favorite trope as I don’t think I’ve ever read one involving a father’s best friend! I need to find more of these books and now!! Karina Halle is one versatile author but I would absolutely love it if she wrote a lot more adult contemporary romances. I fell in love with this story and it all had to do with the beautiful man, named Will McAlister!

Will McAlister is a forty-one-year-old divorced man who has left his job and life behind in L.A. and has transferred to the Vancouver office to start over. His ex-wife dropped one hell of a bombshell on him that rocked him to his core and left him swearing off love forever, or so he thought. The moment he meets his new executive assistant, it seems that his heart is starting to awaken. Jackie Phillips is his best friend/business partner’s daughter and the last time Will saw her, she was a sullen teenager with a chip on her shoulder. Gone is the troublesome teenager and in her place is a sweet and strikingly beautiful woman. They are wildly attracted to each other but because there are so many things playing against them both Will and Jackie try their best to keep things platonic. Jackie is actually the one who fights the attraction the most.

 

 

She ran off and married the absolute worst guy for her when she was seventeen. She ended up having a son with him and that was about the only good thing that came from that relationship. Her past mistake in judgment with men and her need to prove to her father that she is not the same person she was seven years ago, has Jackie keeping Will at arms-length and stubbornly denying her feelings for him.

Soon enough neither of them will be able to fight the attraction anymore and let’s just say the steamy scenes are PHENOMENAL!! While I enjoy the spicy stuff, it was Will’s heart that had me melting for this story! He loved Jackie so much that he was willing to take whatever she was able to give him and I mean how could you not swoon over a guy like that??!!

5 Dream Girl Stars!

 

William McAlister is a 41 yr. old guy who found himself divorced after 15 yrs. of marriage. He needs a change of pace, & moves from LA to work in the Vancouver office of his production company. He’s only been back in Vancouver about a month and is still adjusting & settling in when his business partner’s daughter Jackie is hired on to be his executive assistant. He hasn’t seen her since she was 15, & wow has she grown up. He knows there’s a 16 yr. age difference between them, but that doesn’t keep him from having inappropriate thoughts about her. She has luscious curves & is absolutely gorgeous. Will has to keep reminding himself he can’t mix business with pleasure.

 

Jackie Phillips is a 25 yr. old single mom who’s been through a rough patch lately. Struggling to make ends meet she decides to move back home to Vancouver & live with her parents. She needs a fresh start, and that includes a new job. Her father co-owns a film company called Mad Men Studios, & offers her a job working for his business partner Mr. McAlister. Jackie remembers Will from when he used to come over for dinners when she was a teenager. He’s been a family friend for as long as she can remember. She hasn’t seen him in about ten years, & is stunned by how sexy he is. Age has made him every more beautiful, & Jackie has trouble working so closely with Will & not having out of control fantasies about him. She tries to hide her attraction & growing crush. He’s become a distraction & she’s drawn to him.

Will & Jackie feel a strong bond with each other from the start. They can be themselves & soon both will use any excuse to spend time together. Will quickly becomes someone Jackie can count on & trust. She can talk to him about anything. They become a great team at the office & things begin to get more complicated when they can’t fight their desire for one another any longer. Will is obsessed with Jackie & wants more. Jackie is scared to death of these intense feelings & is desperately trying not to fall for him because he’s the one man she can never have completely. He’s her boss & her father’s friend and business partner. She can’t jeopardize her job or damage her relationship with her father, but can she give up the man who’s become her everything?

I absolutely adored this book start to finish! I fell hard for Will. He is such a beautiful man inside and out & sexy as hell!!! This book was seriously hot! I’ve read almost all of Karina’s books & this one is now my favorite. Just a beautiful story.

This book picks up right where we left off with Courtney & Drew in Vegas dealing with the drama caused by Drew’s ex-girlfriend. Their spontaneous, romantic trip is ruined after Mia follows them to Vegas. They head back home, & learn just how crazy she is. Drew will do anything to keep Courtney safe. He can’t seem to shake off his past and is worried he could lose Courtney. He is so in love with her & can’t imagine his future without her in it. It would break him to lose her. He is ready to fight for what they have.

-“I don’t think I can live without you.”

-No matter how much time we spend together, it never feels like enough. I want him- all day and night- all the time.

Courtney has crushed on Drew forever & can’t believe he’s finally hers. They’ve gone from best friends & roommates to lovers. When his past comes back to haunt him, Courtney won’t let anything come between them. Drew is her world & she has no plans of ever letting him go.

I really enjoyed this couple’s story. A sexy police officer & his little sister’s best friend. Courtney was lusting over Drew since day one, & she finally gets her man and he’s dreamy & delicious! We get a super hot book with all the beautiful love too. We also get a lot of Travis & Viola thrown in. I really have loved this whole series! Can’t wait for Logan & Kayla’s story!

-Nothing could ever stop the way I feel about her.

-I can’t stop all the feelings that surface when it comes to Courtney. She’s everything perfect and beautiful, and I still can’t believe how far we’ve come after all this time.

PHENOMENAL!!!

I truly believe that Tillie Cole does not have it in her to write a mediocre story and I am beyond grateful for that fact. I devour everything she writes and the Hades Hangmen is by far the most creative and best MC series out there. Honestly, this series was the reason why I started blogging! Everyone who has fallen in love with the Hades Hangmen will surely love A.K. and Phebe’s story as much as I did! Up until now, Flame has been the Hero that I loved the most in this series, but now he just might have to share my love with A.K. Up until now, we never really got a true sense of the type of man A.K. is, but in this book, this man outshines them all!

If you have been reading this series religiously you know there are some pretty nasty characters and there is some really horrifying subject matter that is ever present throughout. The women who end up owning the hearts and minds of their alpha male Hangmen all come from a religious cult run by the most despicable men who practice daily rituals of rape with girls who are as young as six. They each have lived a life that is worse than any nightmare you could ever imagine. It is always the rough around the edges, outlaw Hades Hangmen member whose love and utter devotion help them to move on from their horrific pasts, but every Heroine also plays a part in healing the souls of the man they love. So you could say these ladies are not just mere damsels in distress. They are some of the toughest and most fierce women you will ever come across in a story.

We knew from DEEP REDEMPTION that Phebe truly regretted her part in her sister’s torture and that she was no longer blinded by her faith in all the false prophets of the New Zion. She ends up being sold to one of the most psychotic and deranged leaders of a white supremacist group that was dealing in guns with the cult. Meister has had an obsession with Phebe and he is far more sadistic and brutal than any of the cult leaders that have raped and sodomized the young girls and women of the cursed and sacred sisters. What we learn is that from an early age Phebe was also taught all the ways to please a man sexually and that she became so good at it that she was titled the ”sacred sister”. She had been sent outside the commune to entice and lure men to join their cult. But now since the fall of Judah, she has been held captive by Meister and let’s just say that it is truly a miracle that she hasn’t tried to take her own life.

The Hangmen are on a mission to rescue Phebe and A.K. most of all wants to get her safely back to their compound. He hasn’t been able to forget the beautiful redhead with the soulful eyes. He had seen something of himself inside of her and the thought of her being brutalized on a daily basis by Meister has been tearing him up inside. Ultimately the psycho trio infiltrates the KKK’s compound and are able to rescue Phebe. There’s a rough and painful road that lays ahead of Phebe while A.K. helps to detox her from all the illegal drugs that were pumped into her veins. Not only was her body nearly broken but she came close to losing her sanity. Somehow her will to survive seems to be stronger than all the demons that haunt her during her waking and sleeping hours. It is during A.K. and Phebe’s alone time together that we learn of some heartbreaking secrets that torment them. Life seems to have brought them nothing but pain and unbearable guilt, but they have the ability to see into each other’s souls and together there is a possibility of forgiveness and healing.

Aside from the action and the romance between A.K. and Phebe, we find out how the Psycho trio (A.K., Flame, and Vike), became so close. We also learn how A.K. met Flame and felt an almost instant need to help and protect him. I enjoyed getting their full back story and every tender moment between Ash and Flame nearly had me tearing up.

This is definitely one of my favorites in this series! It’s also up there as one of the darkest. There were moments when I found it hard to get through certain scenes. Tillie’s writing is just that powerful. I felt like these things were really happening to someone I knew. She makes you fall and care for these characters. I know that if you have loved this series all along, your expectations will be exceeded!

5 Falling For Finn Stars!

Finn Mannus aka Manny is a gorgeous pro football player in New Orleans. As an NFL quarterback, he lives his life in the public eye. He’s a bachelor known for playing the field & he never gives a woman more than a one night stand. His career is his top priority & very demanding. He doesn’t have time for relationships.

Chester Copper aka Chess is a design major who has been working as a photographer. She’s been hired to shoot an annual charity calendar for the local NFL team. She usually keeps her cool & is totally professional, but she’s having trouble around Finn Mannus. Finn is an extremely hot, almost pretty football player. He’s cover model beautiful & is an absolute perfect specimen. She usually isn’t affected this way, but he has her flustered. Then he opens his mouth & acts like an entitled, arrogant jerk.

Finn’s team’s marketing director has asked him & his guys to pose for a calendar for charity. They soon learn it’s to be shot in the nude. Finn is pissed & extremely uncomfortable. Something about the photographer is getting under his skin & making him feel vulnerable and exposed. She’s feisty, and not his usual type, but for some reason, he can’t explain everything about her just does it for him. He’s so turned on around her & having a hard time pretending she doesn’t effect him.

This unlikely pair become more comfortable together & begin running into one another all over town. Soon a friendship forms & they really enjoy each other’s company. Their chemistry is undeniable, but Finn isn’t the settling down kind, and Chess is looking for something more long term than a hook-up. Even though they have this intense attraction, they decide to just be friends. Finn feels this need to be close to her and wants to know her better. Suddenly Chess finds herself homeless & Finn becomes her roommate. Friends turn to lovers, and they both want more. Finn is crazy about her, & soon wants to be hers in every way.

Before he realizes what’s hit him, Chess has become everything to Finn. She’s become essential to his happiness & a permanent fixture in his life. He can’t imagine not being with her. Chess is falling hard for Finn & it scares her to death. They can’t keep their hands off each other & are insatiable. Every time he touches her he takes her breath away with his beautiful heart and the way he looks at her.

This was such a fabulous book! I’ve read this whole series & loved them all, but Manny is my #1. This man totally does it for me with his delicious body & the way he loves. Get ready to fall in love with Finn. :))

FABULOUS!!!

I say this every time I read a book by Kristen Callihan – she is one of my most favorite authors out there right now. Her GAME ON and VIP series are truly phenomenal! She creates the most charismatic and swoony Heroes that make me wish so darn hard that I could just live out the rest of my life within the pages of her books. This series is one of the best in the sports romance genre, and that is no exaggeration. Up until now, Gray Grayson has been my most beloved hero in this series but now he’s going to have to share that #1 ranking with Finn Mannus.

It is almost impossible not to fall completely in love with Finn Mannus, NFL Quarterback of the New Orleans Saints. Even the way he is first introduced in the book is one of the most memorable scenes ever. Chess Copper is a photographer whose latest assignment is to photograph the pro football players of New Orleans for a calendar to raise money for charity. They will all be posing in the NUDE! Chess and Finn start off on the wrong foot at first but during their photo shoot, Chess sees a vulnerability to Finn that has her thinking that she just may have judged him unfairly. There also is no denying the sexual tension that quickly builds between them. At first glance, they both seem like polar opposites. Finn is the all-American, gorgeous football player and Chess appears to be goth with her outward appearance and snarky attitude.

At first, this seemed like an “opposites attract” romance but when Chess and Finn strike up a friendship and the bond that they share becomes pretty intense, it is clear that they have quite a bit in common. There is no denying that they’re perfect for each other. Finn has been living the bachelor life and has had countless hook-ups. No one has ever touched his heart until Chess. Chess also has never been in a serious relationship with a man. Guys usually don’t make it past the first date with her.

The two agree to keep things platonic between them because Chess is not looking to be one of Finn’s many conquests and deep down Finn doesn’t know if he has it in him to commit fully to anyone. There are moments when we get to see that Finn isn’t entirely happy living the single life and that he envies some of his married teammates who don’t have to go home to an empty house. Finn seems to be missing something in his life and Chess quickly and easily fills that void, and he is doing the same for her. When an electrical fire destroys Chess’ loft, leaving her homeless, Finn quickly comes to her rescue and moves her in with him. Their lives only become deeper entwined and the lines between friendship and something more are beyond blurred. But the fear of the unknown have a crippling effect on both Finn and Chess, and it just may be what ends up tearing these two apart.

I don’t think there is anyone out there who hasn’t read any of the Game On books yet and those of you who have been fans of this series are going to 100% fall in love with this one!! I predict that there will be a lot of cat fights over who Finn Mannus belongs to.

Easton Wylder is known as a god on the field, and one of the best catchers of all time. He is a Major League Baseball player for the Austin Aces and is practically baseball royalty. All he’s ever known is baseball. He grew up the son of a baseball legend, & has always felt as his father’s protege he had to live up to the Wylder name. He never wanted to do anything to disgrace his dad’s legacy, so when he gets an injury that threatens to end his career he is feeling the pressure to be back on top.

Scout Dalton is the daughter of the infamous Doc Dalton. The renowned physical therapist is called in by the Ace’s to treat their star player Easton Wylder. Doc sends his daughter Scout to work with Easton & oversee his recovery. He’s counting on his daughter to get Easton back on the field and secure a long-term contract with the Ace’s team.

Easton is on a deadline to rehab his shoulder, and return in top shape, so when he walks in to see a gorgeous feisty woman instead of Doc, he isn’t pleased. He doesn’t care she’s Doc’s daughter. He doesn’t have any faith in her abilities as a physical therapist & questions her qualifications. They instantly get off to a rocky start & clash at every turn. Scout is desperate to make her father proud and solidify her reputation as a woman in a male-dominated world. She’s now out to prove herself to this arrogant, conceited, hot jerk.

Scout quickly shows Easton she knows what she’s doing. As they work so closely together the sexual tension becomes unbearable. They have an undeniable attraction that continues to spark as they work hands-on. The more Scout touches his irresistible body, the more she wants him. She hates how affected she is by him. Easton has never crossed that fine line between professional & personal, but he finds himself enjoying Scouts company and wanting to get to know her better.

Easton finally begins to take Scout seriously & sees she has what it takes to get him back on the field. They soon can’t resist each other anymore & things turn intimate. Real feelings grow between them & they both want to break all the rules & take a chance and be together. Suddenly winning the contract isn’t as important as being with Easton. Easton wants to be back on the field but wants Scout to be a part of his life. Can they find a way to be together & still keep the careers they love?

I loved everything about this book! K. Bromberg brings us a sexy, baseball player that I couldn’t get enough of. Easton Wylder is delicious & talented on and off the field. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

-He’s watching me, wanting me, and everything about him, from his expression to his eyes to his body, is breathtaking.

K. Bromberg’s new series is sure to be a hit! She has created another cocky and sexy as hell Hero that readers are going to fall head over heels in love with. The chemistry between the main characters is beyond H-O-T, and there’s just enough angst thrown in to make this a fun and addictive read!

Scout Dalton is a physical therapist for some of the most famous Major League Baseball players. Her current assignment is to help Easton Wylder, catcher of the Austin Aces, rehab his injured shoulder. It seems that during a time when he was under a lot of pressure he ended up signing a contract that guaranteed that after a certain number of months, he would be fully rehabilitated and playing for the Aces. If he fails to meet that deadline, he will be traded. Scout is hoping that she is successful with Easton’s rehab because it could mean a permanent contract for her father’s business with the Austin Aces. Her dad is one of the most well-renowned PTs in the industry and her love for him knows no bounds. It would kill her to let him down.

 

Scout and Easton get off to a rocky start when Easton assumes that she is a stripper and that her showing up in the Aces training room is some sort of a prank initiated by his teammates. Soon enough the attraction that is between them is too strong for either of them to deny and things get pretty hot and heavy quickly. Where Easton is confident in what could be building between them, Scout is almost the polar opposite. She’s skittish, which stems from her fear of abandonment. Almost everyone who has mattered more than anything to her has ultimately gone and left her behind. Scout also knows that becoming romantically involved with Easton would be considered unprofessional and could possibly cause her the Austin Aces contract.

Throughout the story, there is a bit of a cat and mouse chase between Easton and Scout. There is plenty of steam to keep pulses racing and the ever present fear of these two getting caught always had me on pins and needles.

The story ends on a cliffhanger and leaves readers with many questions! Luckily the conclusion will be out in July!! Not too long of a wait!

Those of you who love romances with a single father should really enjoy this latest installment of THE ROOMMATES series by Kendall Ryan. So far I have to admit I’ve truly enjoyed each book in this series. You know how sometimes a series of standalones comes out and some of the books are “hits” while the others are “misses”? Well, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed reading every story so far.

Max Alexander is an ex-army ranger and currently owns a very successful construction company. Max is thirty-five and enjoys his bachelor life. He has no intention of complicating things by getting involved in a serious relationship, but sometimes life throws you an unexpected curveball. When Max’s ex-girlfriend shows up on his doorstep, after having not seen her for about a year, she brings with her an unexpected gift – a cute little one-year-old daughter, named Dylan. He’s completely horrified when she dumps Dylan on Max and proclaims that she just can’t do it anymore. He decides to hire a live-in nanny and when the two first meet, there is no denying the instant attraction they both feel. Addison Lane is a young woman who is in need of a change in her life. I feel the breath knocked out of me, because there’s no more denying it, no more denying my heart. This is it for me. This is what I want, not just for as long as I can have it, but for always.

Now, this is the kind of story that I have come to expect from the talented Lauren Layne. It’s why I will always read anything she writes. I will never grow tired of reading her books! She has a knack for the enemies-to-lovers RomComs and WALK OF SHAME is going on my favorites list!

At first, I was a little worried because the Heroine seemed to be a shallow Manhattan socialite whose only purpose in life was to party every night with her friends till dawn and to make it to her weekly hair salon appointments. But as the story progresses, we get to peel back Georgie Watkins’ layers and she ends up being an endearing and whimsical character. The man that’s been occupying most of her thoughts lately is her gorgeous but utterly standoffish and cold neighbor, Andrew Mulroney. Andy is one of New York’s top divorce attorneys and he’s a no-nonsense kind of guy who lives a very structured life. These two meet up in their luxury apartment lobby every morning at around 5 am when Georgie is just making it home from her nights of partying and Andrew is on his way to the gym and then to the office. They share a bit of sarcastic banter each morning and you know from the start that there’s some serious chemistry building between them.

Georgie is affected by Andrew’s comments and perception of her. And Andrew can’t deny that Georgie’s vivacious personality is starting to be something he craves and can’t live without. Ultimately the two become romantically involved and the steam is incredible between them!! They may be total opposites but their differences seem to complement each other nicely. Andrew’s life seemed dull and monochromatic but now Georgie’s presence is breathing gorgeous technicolor into it. Neither Georgie nor Andrew have ever experienced real soul changing love before. Andrew has not been a believer in love being that his profession deals with the ending of it. Georgie may not have ever been in a serious relationship prior to Andrew but she’s always been a believer in ”fairy tales”and ”happily ever afters”.

Just when they are starting to realize what’s in their hearts, a devastating secret has the potential to put an end to what could be the greatest love Georgie and Andrew have ever encountered!

Dylan is still living with Ripley & now wondering how she can ever face the reality of life without him when their arrangement is over. He’s her lover but to her also her savior. He doesn’t want to be her hero, but to Dylan, that’s exactly what he is. She excepts all his crazy & yearns to be closer to him and to know everything about this complex man. He’s become her escape & she’s getting too comfortable with depending on him. He’s taken better care of her than anyone has in her whole life. He always saves her & makes her feel safe. Even though he does bad things, he’s a good man in her eyes.

-Ripley is salt in my wounds sometimes- a deep, penetrating burn that heals as much as it hurts. It’s a sting I’ve grown to need, though, because it forces me to feel something again.

-I’m ravenous and impatient. He makes me this way. He’s become my drug. The rush that excites me, and the high that keeps me addicted.

-In a killer’s embrace, I feel something I’ve not experienced my whole life- I feel safe.

-Something has awakened inside of me since being with Rip.

-“I don’t know what it is about you, Dylan. You touch some dark and carnal part of me.”

Ripley shouldn’t care so much about Dylan, but he does. She’s become his obsession & his weakness because there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to protect her. When her past comes back to haunt her, Rip won’t let anyone touch or take what’s his. He will always keep her safe. Even if that means setting her free. The thought of anyone hurting her destroys him & makes him feel like losing control. He’s deeply affected by her pain & she’s continuing to make him feel.

I really loved this series & this last episode was my favorite. It was full of action & emotion, and we get a lot of answers. I would love a book for Jorgen next!

We’re volatile and chaotic together, ripples in the water that explode into riptides, pulling us deeper. The more she takes, the more I want to give. The more I want her.

 

 

Episode Four did not disappoint in the least! It’s filled with panty melting steam, jaw-dropping revelations, and tons of action and bloody violence! I never thought that I would be so addicted to the dark romance genre but sometimes I love it even more than RomComs which truly does surprise me. What I’ve learned after having read this series, is that I love the way Keri Lake writes. Her words are hauntingly beautiful and if I go back and look at all the excerpts I highlighted, I don’t think I would be able to keep track!

What I will say about this last episode is that many questions are answered and that love does indeed conquer all. There are too many enemies and it seems their end game is to keep Rip and Dylan apart, but Rip will unleash his fury on anyone who tries to take what is his!! Ah, how I loved that dark and complex man! He made the story for me!

Even though I loved this series and believe me when I say that Keri Lake has a new fan in me, I have to say that after having finished the books, I truly wish that this had been released as one full novel, instead of being broken up into four novellas. Normally I have a truly exceptional memory – you can ask Mel and Dee, they will attest to that! However, when it came to this series I had a hard time keeping track of how each episode ended. There were way too many bad guys and some of them had multiple identities which had my brain in a deep fog! I couldn’t for the life of me keep track of who was who and what had they done to wrong either Rip or Dylan.

 

 

But even though at times pieces of the story messed with my brain, I really did enjoy reading it, for the most part, Keri Lake has become an automatic read author for me. Here’s to hoping that she writes a book for Jorgen!!

When she mistakes him for a delivery guy based on his appearance, he doesn’t correct her after she’d shared her thoughts about rich men. She thinks they act entitled & feel the world revolves around them.

Bianca George is on her way to interview Dexter Truitt aka “Mister Moneybags.” She works as a reporter for a business magazine called Finance Times. She’s assigned to cover the story for this multimillionaire. Her plans are derailed when she’s heading up to his office & the elevator breaks. She soon learns she’s stuck in the dark with a sexy sounding stranger. Once the lights cut back on she’s stunned by how gorgeous he is.

The chemistry between Dex & Bianca is off the charts. Dex wants to get to know her & makes a split second decision. He lies about who he is & says his name is Jay. He wants a shot with her & was afraid she’d never give him a chance if she knew who he really was. She made it clear she prefers the simple life. She doesn’t care about money or prestige & seems to hold a grudge against those who have it.

Dex decides to let Bianca interview him over email since he now can’t let her see him in person. They begin talking every night & become addicted to their time together. Bianca starts to realize how genuine a person Dex is, and Dex realizes what a huge mistake he’s made lying about his identity. Both Jay & Dex are falling for Bianca, and now Dex is worried he will lose her when she finds out the truth. He’s crazy about her but keeps digging himself a deeper hole pretending to be Jay. Will Bianca ever be able to fully trust Dex when she finds out he deceived her?

I really adored Dex! He’s a wealthy, powerful, beautiful man with a huge heart. He falls so hard for Bianca. This was such a fun, flirty read full of emotion. Just loved it!

I smiled back and looked Dex in the eyes for a long while. What was staring back at me was absolutely beautiful. Not the man himself, but looking into his eyes, I saw love in its purest form. It was honest and open and willing to give me anything I wanted.

 

 

I’m convinced now, more than before, that the writing duo of Keeland and Ward is pure MAGIC!! Each time they release a new book it’s like the ultimate torture waiting to get my hands on it but, oh, how satisfied I feel when I get to the very last word!! MISTER MONEYBAGS was nothing I could have ever expected as far as the storyline went but it definitely was highly entertaining and pretty freaking amazeBALLS!

I don’t know what it is about elevators but I love it when a romance starts between two strangers who get stuck in one together!! This is how Dex and Bianca meet, and it might not have been one of the sexiest scenes I’ve ever read, but it was damn near the funniest!! Bianca is a magazine journalist on her way up to interview one of the wealthiest and most elusive business moguls in NYC. Little does she know that the man with the sexy voice who she is stuck in the elevator with but can’t see since the lights went out, is Dexter Truitt – the star of her magazine article. There is quite a bit of hysterical and pervy banter that transpires between them, but Dex also learns that Bianca is not a huge fan of his for some reason. He decides to keep his identity a secret from her and pretends to be Jay, a man who owns his own bicycle messenger service. When the lights turn back on, there is no denying the strong physical attraction they feel for each other, and soon plans for a date are made.

Dex has his secretary call off his interview with Bianca but later on, he offers her the opportunity to continue with the interview but over text only. She can ask him anything and he’ll provide her with his answers but only if he can ask her questions of his own. With each passing day, Dex is leading a double life and digging himself into a deeper hole with all the lies he has told to cover for his alter ego, Jay. Not only is he in deep, but his feelings for Bianca are intensifying and the fact that she is attracted to Jay, has him growing insanely jealous as well! He knows he has put himself in an impossible situation when he learns that Bianca has trust issues that stem from her father’s betrayal that resulted in her parents’ divorce. She’s not a big fan of lies no matter what the excuse may be.

Bianca was a sweet, sassy, and slightly neurotic Heroine. She gave as good as she got and kept Jay/Dex on his toes. She definitely made him work for her affections! Lies are eventually exposed and Bianca isn’t quick to offer forgiveness to Dex, but the man is beyond sexy, extremely charming, and utterly determined to get back in her good graces. So this is what I thought the main plot of the story was when in fact it was just a tiny piece of the story. Shocking revelations are made that could end up causing irreparable damage and keeping the couple from ever sharing a life together. This is when things got extremely angsty and Dex’s determination to be with Bianca was incredibly heartbreaking!

MISTER MONEYBAGS released a day early!! Go on and one-click!! Get ready to laugh, cry, and fall in love with Dex and his whittling skills! He definitely carved his way into my heart!
