REVIEW – BREAKING HOLLYWOOD by Samantha Towle

SYNOPSIS

Breaking Hollywood is a a hot and hilarious standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Samantha Towle…

It wasn’t supposed to be like this…

I wasn’t supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless and jobless at twenty-eight. And I most definitely wasn’t supposed to hit Hollywood’s resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot.

Now I’m stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he’s incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I’ve had a crush on forever, doesn’t sound like a chore, right? Wrong.

Gabriel Evans is rude, crude, drinks way too much and, as soon as his foot is healed, I’m out of here.

So, why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds? And keep getting flustered when I see him shirtless? Breaking Hollywood wasn’t part of the plan. But neither was falling in love with him.

Loved Breaking Hollywood? Check out Samantha’s sexy, laugh-out-loud romance, Wardrobe Malfunction, out now!

*****FIVE ASTRO-FUCKING-NOMICAL STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

And when she doesn’t pull away, instead letting out a sound of contentment, snuggling deeper into me, it lights up the dark parts inside me. It’s then I realize just how truly fucked I am. Because I like Ava. Quite possibly too much. And she’s far too good for someone as fucked up as me. But, right now, the selfish part of me doesn’t care. The selfish part of me wants to take every good thing she gives me, and I want to give her every good thing back in return.

This is going to be another HUGE hit for Samantha Towle! I’m not surprised that I absolutely fell in love with this story because over the years this author has proven time and again that she is a gifted storyteller. What I can’t believe is that she waited so long to delve into the romantic comedy genre. Her first RomCom,”Wardrobe Malfunction”, was AMAZINGand it also introduced us to the main characters in this story. I had the toughest time trying to decide which book I love most but I’d have to say that BREAKING HOLLYWOOD is just a tiny bit more FABULOUS than the previous book. The plot was completely entertaining. The pace of the story was perfect. I was so caught up in the book that I found I was breezing through it faster than I wanted to. I actually tried to slow my reading speed down a bit in order to savor the book! The chemistry between the Hero and Heroine was out of this world white hot!! I loved the slow burn that was building between the main characters and almost burst into flames from the intense gratification I felt once the schmexy times commenced!! I predict that everyone will fall in love with little Gucci as well. And now I am dying to have a little pygmy goat of my own!!

Ava Simms just might be having the worst day of her life. She lost her job as Wardrobe Mistress for a television show. She has one more day left in her apartment and then she will be officially homeless, and she’s completely alone in Los Angeles…well except for the fact that she is the proud furbaby mama of the cutest little pygmy goat she named Gucci. Gucci is actually the reason for being kicked out of her apartment. She violated the no pets policy on her lease agreement. Just when she thinks that her day couldn’t get any worse, Ava ends up running over with her car, the foot of Hollywood’s HOTTEST and biggest actor—Gabe Evans. What she doesn’t know is that this is actually when her life will be changed forever.

Gabe is mostly belligerent towards Ava as he is in the most excruciating pain since she has probably broken his foot. While at first he is stubborn and refuses to let Ava drive him to the hospital, he eventually relents when it becomes clear he is in no shape to drive himself. When it turns out that his foot is broken and that it will take nearly six weeks before he fully recovers, the two come to an arrangement which involves Ava coming to his home on a daily basis to take care of him since he’s to concentrate on his recovery and has to stay off the bad foot. Within a day Gabe invites Ava to stay in his spare bedroom when he finds out that she has been evicted from her apartment and planned to live in her little smart car with her pet pygmy goat.

Gabe can’t help but be attracted to Ava. She’s beautiful, endearing, and quite the little spitfire. She doesn’t take any crap from him and lets him know when he’s being an ass. He’s in quite the impossible predicament because Ava is on his mind constantly, so much that no other woman peaks his interest anymore. But Gabe NEVER dates co-workers or employees! He holds firm to that rule. Being in close proximity to the woman who has had the leading role in his recent fantasies puts him through an unbelievable hell.

Ava has had a huge crush on Gabe for quite some time. She may have had posters of him on her wall when she was younger. She’s also finding it hard living in such close quarters with Hollywood’s sexiest actor.

Sparks are going to ignite and rules will be broken. Will Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor and biggest player be able to settle down with the beautiful and sassy wardrobe mistress? Or will secrets from the past and lack of trust end up tearing the couple apart?

This book was a pure joy to read. Extremely entertaining!

*****Dee’s Review*****

4.5 SUPER STARS****

A sexy Hollywood bad boy, plus a strong and yet quirky heroine, plus a super cute baby pet goat, equals:
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!

Ava Simms is having a really bad day. She just got fired from her job, got evicted from her apartment and to top it all off, she just ran over Hollywood’s sexiest bad boy’s foot with her car.

Gabriel Evans has good looks, money, and fame but one thing he doesn’t have is good manners. He knows he’s only good at two things in life, acting, and sex and he certainly likes to show it off, either on the big screen or in bed. He loves to satisfy his female audience.

Ava and Gabriel start off on a bad foot, pun intended. After she ran over his foot with her car and broke it. Now Gabriel needs help to get around while his foot heals and Ava needs a place to live, so they strike a deal that benefits them both. The problem is that they are really attracted to one another and yet they can’t stop bickering for even one minute, which makes for a hilarious adventure that we lucky readers get to enjoy.

To the angst, the hilarious humor and the passion, add an adorable pet goat called Gucci that simply makes this story absolutely FABULOUS.

To me Samantha Towle is the queen of romance, I love that she’s always creative and likes to give us readers a unique story every single time. You can’t ever go wrong with one of her books. She totally left a big smile on my face and in my heart with Breaking Hollywood

BREAKING HOLLYWOOD releases on October 3rd! But it is available for pre-order now, so DONT MISS IT!!!!

REVIEW – CHASING CHRISTMAS EVE (Heartbreaker Bay #4) by Jill Shalvis

SYNOPSIS

Meet cute…

Run for the hills—temporarily. That’s Colbie Albright’s plan when she flees New York for San Francisco. Wrangling her crazy family by day and writing a bestselling YA fantasy series by night has taken its toll. In short, Colbie’s so over it that she’s under it. She’s also under the waters of a historic San Francisco fountain within an hour of arrival. Fortunately, the guy who fishes Colbie out has her looking forward to Christmas among strangers. But she’s pretty sure Spencer Baldwin won’t be a stranger for long.

Make merry…

Spence’s commitment to hiding from the Ghosts of Relationships Past means he doesn’t have to worry about the powerful—okay, crazy hot chemistry—he’s got with Colbie. Just because she can laugh at anything, especially herself… just because she’s gorgeous and a great listener just because she gets Spence immediately doesn’t mean he won’t be able to let Colbie go. Does it?

and hope for a miracle.

Now the clock’s ticking for Colbie and Spence: Two weeks to cut loose. Two weeks to fall hard. Two weeks to figure out how to make this Christmas last a lifetime.

*****Mel’s Review*****

5 Stars!

Colbie Albright is a 28 yr. old woman living in New York. She’s a best-selling YA fantasy series author who is at the peak of her success. She’s been under too much pressure with work & her family, & feels overwhelmed and tired. She just needs to get away from her stressful life for a while & find herself again. She’s lost her joy & her love of writing. She’s hoping if she unplugs for a few weeks she will find her inspiration again. She packs a bag and gets on a plane to San Francisco. She’s excited to be alone, & finally, have some peace and quiet, but as soon as she arrives in the small town of Cow Hollow she crosses paths with a delicious stranger named Spencer Baldwin. He’s hot, a little geeky, but gorgeous.

Spencer Baldwin is known as one of San Francisco’s most eligible bachelors. He is an extremely wealthy inventor who owns the Pacific Pier Building. He’s sexy, brilliant, and people were fascinated with him. He was a very private socially inept person who was thrown into the spotlight because of his success & trusting the wrong people. He came from nothing, but now has great friends and a full life. The only part of his life that’s lacking is his personal life. He can’t seem to manage both work & a relationship. He’d attempted both, but could only do one well, so now he’s in a relationship with his job. He’s just not relationship material. He’s the resident genius, & his life is always pure insanity.

Spencer feels drawn to the new girl in town. Colbie is only in Cow Hollow for three weeks. She’s the perfect distraction. She’s super focused and reminds him of himself in a lot of ways. They share an undeniable connection, & decide to see where it goes. After all, they can only be temporary, so there’s no chance of things getting complicated. As they spend time together Spence finds Colbie funny, smart, & beautiful. She’s the best thing to ever happen to him, & his feelings scare him. Things are so effortless between them & they make each other really happy. The closer they become to their expiration date, the more emotionally attached they are to each other. They want more, but their lives are three thousand miles apart. Colbie has found herself being with Spence in San Francisco. Will she leave her heart behind & walk away, or will she take a chance on love?

I loved this book so much! I’d been anxiously awaiting this quiet, sexy, geek’s book. He’s stunning on the outside, but even more beautiful on the inside. Spence has a heart of gold, & I am so happy we finally got his story! Just fabulous!!!

*****Mel’s Review*****

5+++ “Let Me Love You” Stars!

-Not even winning feels as good as the drive. The moment I hit that pedal, I’m alive.

Lana Heyworth is a gorgeous 22 yr. old woman whose family is everything to her. She moved to Europe a few years ago with her dad & three brothers to start a Formula One team called HW Racing. They all gave up everything for this life, and they haven’t had a very successful racing career so far. This is her fathers dream, therefore it’s hers too. With their team on its last leg, Lana volunteers to find new talent. They’ve lost hope of winning, but she convinces them to give her a chance, & heads to St. Petersburg to scout possible drivers for their team. While there she collides with a hot guy named Racer Tate.

Racer Tate is the son of the famous fighter Remington Tate. He was raised to follow in his dad’s footsteps, but Racer was more into cars & speed. He lives for the adrenaline, and has serious talent. He has a reputation as the best & fastest driver. He enjoys his freedom & independence, and does what he wants.

Lana won’t settle for anything but the best & is a woman on a mission. Her family’s dream is to win the Formula One championship. After getting to know more about the mysterious Racer Tate, she thinks he might be their only hope. She’s found what she’s looking for & believes in him. She wants to put him behind the wheel of her fathers car, & is determined to ignore the way he makes her pulse race and her heart flutter. She’s intrigued by him, but has to keep things professional. If they are going to work closely together, she can’t complicate things by lusting after him. She wants to focus all her energy on winning.

Racer met Lana & knew she was the one. He can’t explain it, but he feels a strong connection, and is extremely protective & possessive of her. She’s the fixer, always taking care of everyone. He wants to take care of her, & make her his in every way. He’s going after her & has no plans of backing off.

-He’s seriously god’s handiwork. The natural selection process of evolution couldn’t be enough to produce something like him. He’s illegal.

-Something happened, something is happening- every second we look at each other, every breath he and I take.

-He looks at me as if he’s known me for a long time. Maybe, even, as if he’s waited for me for a long, long time.

-I don’t know what it is about her, but from the moment I saw her I wanted to claim, conquer, and own.

-This guy makes me greedy for those eyes of his, the way the blue turns a little more electric when he looks at me, and I’m both shy at the idea of those eyes seeing me, and at the same time, I’m excited about it.

The last thing Lana needs is to get involved with a driver, but she finds Racer’s presence both soothing & exciting. She starts to want him for herself as much as she wants to win the championship. She becomes obsessed with everything about him & feels drawn to him. There’s an undeniable chemistry between them, & once they touch they can’t get enough of one another. Lana is completely & thoroughly seduced by Racer, and has never felt so wanted. She craves & adores everything about him. He totally undoes her. He’s sexy, confident, reckless, charming, intense, demanding, real, powerful, & addictive.

This is my favorite book I’ve read this year! As much as I love Remy, I fell even harder for his son Racer. Racer is such a complex, beautiful person. He’s all alpha, but he’s also so tender. Like his father, when he falls, he falls hard & it’s all consuming. When he finds the one for him, he’s all in. He feels such a raw need for Lana, & won’t stop fighting until she’s his.

-“I don’t know what to do with you.”

-He smirks, shooting me a sidelong glance. “I know exactly what to do with you.”

-He starts to kiss me in ways I never knew a human being on this earth could be kissed, a kiss that touches every part of me, my lips and body, my mind, my heart, my very soul.

-Racer. My Racer. All mine, I think greedily. I want everything that he is, all for me.

-Can you love someone so hard that every part of your being feels it? Yes, my heart whispers.

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

I didn’t think I would ever find something like this ever again, much less that it could surpass it. I feel my heart almost burst open as I lie in bed cuddled up to this man who holds me to his chest now protecting me with his body against anything and everything. He lays over me as my shield.

RACER is the seventh installment of the ”REAL” series which focuses on Remy and Brooke’s son, Racer Tate. It seems that the apple has not fallen too far from the tree when it comes to Racer, except that instead of following in his dad’s footsteps and becoming an MMA fighter, he is one of the hottest and best illegal street racers in the country. But he is very much haunted by the same demons as his father and he is of a singular mindset once that special woman catches his eye.

Racer meets Alana Heyworth during a minor fender bender while fighting for a parking spot. The moment they meet there is this underlying but intense spark that neither of them expected or can deny, but Lana is in the states for a very important reason and she’s not about to let a possible romantic entanglement mess with her family’s future. Lana co-owns HW RACING, a Formula One team, along with her father and three brothers. When their mother left them and they found out their father was dying from cancer, the Heyworth’s all decided to sell everything they owned and put it all into their father’s dream of owning a Formula One racing team. HW Racing recently lost their star driver and Lana has made it her mission to find the absolute best driver to replace him.

Racer and Lana meet up a couple of times and although there is some intense flirting going on, more so on Racer’s side, he is able to impress Lana with his incredible driving abilities and soon he is flying off to Australia to become a Formula One driver. While Lana tries her hardest to keep things professional with Racer, she proves to be no match for his tenacity. He is determined to make Lana his and is pulling out all the stops to make that happen.

When Lana finally succumbs to Racer’s seduction, these two are practically burning up the sheets with their white-hot passion. While things seem to only intensify between Racer and Lana, they both have some demons that have the power to tear the lovers apart. Can Lana finally put the past to rest? Will Racer be able to trust that Lana can handle his darkness?

REVIEW – ON A TUESDAY by Whitney G.

SYNOPSIS

We met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.
And everything fell apart on a Tuesday…

Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I’m a “domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego.” (I do have something huge. It’s not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She’s sexy as hell…And a virgin.

At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.

Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.

But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.

Until tonight.

We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it’s seven years later, on a Tuesday…

Grayson

To this day, I’d never loved anyone the way I loved her. Hell, I honestly hadn’t “loved” anyone since her because no other woman ever compared, and it still made me angry whenever I remembered that she never had the decency to give me damn goodbye.

Charlotte

As he pulled me closer, I warned myself that no matter what he said to me tonight, our past was long gone and it was never coming back. All of our former “Tuesdays” and hell even this Tuesday were no more and I wasn’t going to fall for it.

Whitney G. is an author whose books I automatically categorize as MUST-READS. She made me a fangirl for life with her Reasonable Doubt series and if you’ve ever had the good fortune of meeting her at a book signing, you know she is a genuinely sweet person who really adores her readers. I know that when I dive into a Whitney G. book, I am going to get a deliciously steamy and fabulous romantic comedy. I don’t think there has been a Hero she has created yet that I haven’t fallen madly in love with and I can safely say after having read ON A TUESDAY, I’ve got yet another book boyfriend to add to my top favorites shelf!

This is a second chance love story between two college sweethearts who somehow end up going their separate ways after graduation only to reunite seven years later. The book is told in alternating POVs and transitions from the past, which is during their senior year of college and then fast forwards to the present which is seven years later. We learn early on that Charlotte and Grayson have not let go of the past and they each believe that they were wronged by the other. It’s clear that major deception is at play here and as the story unfolds I believe most of you will figure out what happened before the big reveal.

Charlotte and Grayson have been going to the University of Pittsburgh for nearly four years but only just met during their senior year as Charlotte ends up being Grayson’s designated tutor for his Women’s Literature classes. While Grayson is almost instantly smitten with his beautiful and intelligent tutor, Charlotte is more than irritated and not at all impressed by Grayson’s extreme good looks or by the fact that he is one of the most talented college football quarterbacks and number one draft pick of the NFL. She knows he’s quite the player and Charlotte isn’t willing to ultimately get her heartbroken by taking a chance on Grayson who will without a doubt dump her once he’s gotten his fill of her. What she doesn’t know and takes entirely too long to realize is that most of her opinions of Grayson are based on rumors and he is quite possibly the ”real deal”. The two meet up every Tuesday in one of Charlotte’s favorite coffee houses for their study sessions and with each passing Tuesday Grayson’s charming and flirtatious personality is having an effect on her. I swooned hard over all the endearing romantic gestures Grayson made towards Charlotte.

They finally get on the same page and are soon falling deeply in love. But then after graduation, something happens that tears the couple apart, leaving both Charlotte and Grayson utterly devastated until they meet again at their seven-year college reunion.

Old feelings once buried come back to the surface even stronger than before, and with a little bit of soul searching it’s apparent that the love they once had never left their hearts. Will they be able to work things out or is what they had broken and irreparable?

I really enjoyed Grayson and Charlotte’s story but I only wish the book was just a tiny bit longer. I felt the ending was rushed and it was so easy to figure out what caused their breakup early on. Now that being said, I would still recommend this one because I am a sucker for sports romances and ladies you need to meet Grayson Connors!

*****Mel’s Review*****
4 Stars!

Charlotte Taylor is a pre-law/art major at the University of Pittsburgh. She meets Heisman Trophy winner, & the #1 college star quarterback in the country, Grayson Connors, when her advisor assigns her as his literature tutor. She doesn’t like him, & isn’t happy about being stuck with him. He’s known for his touchdowns & being loved by the ladies. She thinks he’s a cocky, entitled jerk who’s full of himself. She judges him by his success & reputation, and assumes he must have an out of control ego to match his good looks & talent.

Grayson takes one look at the sexy, prickly, good girl Charlotte, & is intrigued. He’s so ridiculously attracted to her, & pursues her hard. He wants to date her, but she makes it clear she isn’t interested. He’s never had to work so hard for a girl & isn’t used to being rejected, but he doesn’t give up. He can’t figure what he ever did to make her dislike him so much.

Their study sessions begin lasting longer & longer, and Grayson begins to grow on Charlotte. There’s more to him than she originally thought, & he’s so gorgeous, she can’t stop fantasizing about him. Soon a kiss changes everything between them. They become extremely attached to one another, & make plans for a future together after graduation. Then she unexpectedly disappears from his life at the end of the semester with no explanation. He’s heartbroken & tries for years to find her with no luck. They lead separate lives, & then seven years later their paths cross again & Grayson wants a second chance. He’s never forgotten her, and he’s determined not to let her get away again. He wants to pick up where they left off.

Whitney G. knows how to create a swoony, delicious book boyfriend! Grayson Connors was your typical, popular football star, & Charlotte was the bookworm virgin. Classic case of opposites attract & crazy hot chemistry. I just loved Grayson!

-I couldn’t deny that Grayson Connors was sexy as hell.

-“I want to be with you and only you, and even though you want to deny it, I know you feel the same way.”

-“I fell in love with you months after we met in college, and I knew then that you were the only one for me.”

Finn WANTS Sawyer gone.
Almost as much as he wants her in his BED.

The swamp is about to get a whole lot HOTTER.

The Outskirts was originally set to be a standalone.
It is now book one of a duet.
The Outliers is the title of book two.

FOUR STORMY STARS ****

When you read a T.M Frazier book you should know that she is going to shock you with a jaw dropping story, you should also know, that her poignant writing will transport you to a place where you can smell the rain, feel the thunder inside your heart, and discover a kind of love only she can write, the kind that you never, ever forget.

Sawyer Dixon, after twenty years of living a life where everything was forbidden, has finally escaped. She’s looking for answers and freedom in a little town called, The Outskirts. When her mother died, she left Sawyer a little box filled with random clues that have taken her to this place in the middle of the Florida Swamp, where she’ll discover a world full of new things, she didn’t even know existed. Her very first scary encounter in this new place is with the town’s hermit; Finn Hollis.

Just like Sawyer, Finn is running away from a painful past that has him shackled to a dark and lonely existence. Sawyer comes through the town like a beautiful storm; bringing light and hope for a new day not only for Finn but to some of the other residents of The Outskirts.

Finn and Sawyer end up being neighbors, and then friends, and then more. Finn feels the need to protect innocent Sawyer from everything and everyone. But Sawyer doesn’t want to be sheltered or owned, she wants to live, she desperately wants to experience everything life has to offer to the fullest. She might be scared of storms and thunder but she’s definitely not afraid to live or to love.

Exciting twists and turns will surprise us as we read, and ultimately leaving us with an unforgettable ending that I still CANT BELIEVE!!!

Seriously, people, I will be stalking, hounding and whatever else it takes until T.M Frazier writes the second book. I’m dying!!!! I need to know what happens next…

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Every single thing that Finn was doing to me I felt not only within my body, but in my mind, in my heart. He wasn’t just making me feel, he was opening my eyes and it was like for the first time I was able to see clearly.

It’s clear to me after having finished ”The Outskirts” that T.M. Frazier has created another hit series! What I loved most of all about this story was the Hero, Finn Hollis. For the first time T.M. has created a charismatic Hero that doesn’t live his life outside the lines of the law. When we are first introduced to him, his demeanor is rough around the edges but just like the Heroine, you will find it impossible not to feel drawn to him. Ladies get ready to fall in love with Finn!

Sawyer Dixon, at the age of twenty-one, is finally breaking free from the abusive and oppressive life she endured under the reigns of her religious fanatic father. After her mother’s suicide, she comes across an envelope that contains a letter, keys, and a deed to some land in a small rural town called “the Outskirts”. Sawyer is excited for this new chapter in her life, but on her very first night her car breaks down and she is nearly run over by a surly and inebriated man, who she will soon learn also happens to be her new neighbor.

Finn Hollis lost the love of his life nearly two years ago and since then he’s turned to alcohol to help him numb the pain and he’s closed himself off from all of his friends because they are painful reminders of his past. When he sees that the beautiful red head with freckles has parked her camper on his property his first reaction is to behave like a belligerent Neanderthal and order her off of his land. He’s anything but sweet to Sawyer in the beginning but somehow beneath his prickly exterior Sawyer can see the haunted look in his eyes and it calls to her. Something seems to be drawing Finn to Sawyer as well. He feels an inherent need to protect her from the outside world.

Soon enough the two are starting to feel an undeniable spark between them whenever they’re in each other’s presence and once things start to heat up there’s nothing that can stop it.

Finn isn’t the only new person in Sawyer’s life. She ends up meeting a couple of Sawyer’s friends and soon they become an integral part of her new life in the Outskirts as well. Josh is one of Finn’s oldest friends and also on the Outskirt’s police force. She is a fierce woman with a heart of gold. Josh and Sawyer become fast friends and I really loved how quick she was to help Sawyer settle into her new life.

As Sawyer starts to burrow her way into Finn’s heart, she also helps bring him back to the world of the living. He’s starting to feel like the man he was before he was literally drowning in self-loathing and guilt.

Will the two lovers be able to live a life filled with happiness or is the past destined to resurface and bring more unbearable grief their way?

REVIEW – DEAR BRIDGET, I LOVE YOU by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

SYNOPSIS

Dear Bridget,
I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or don’t.
Whatever you choose.
It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.
–Simon

*****Patty’s Review*****

For the most part, I lived a very simple life. I didn’t need fancy cars or money. I worked hard, yet didn’t need to be the chief. But every once in a blue moon, something came along and lit a fire under my ass. My desires were limited, but when they struck—they were consuming. There were no two ways about it, I desired Bridget Valentine.

FANTASTIC!!!!

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have done it again!! Their writing collaboration is exceptional! I think these ladies need to consider writing together full time. While their individual works have been great, I think their collaborations have often times been magical. It’s stories like this that keeps fueling my reading obsession! I loved absolutely everything about this story and am not sure I will be able to find the words to put together to write a review worthy of this book! It had what I love THE MOST— a romance between a devilishly handsome British Hero and a sweet and down to earth American Heroine!! British Heroes tend to pull off their cocky attitudes with ease and are skilled dirty talkers. They can make any curse word in the English language sound so classy and deliciously decadent with their sexy accents!! I’m positive that Dr. Simon Hogue is going to capture the hearts of many a reader!!

Bridget and Simon have one of the funniest and embarrassing “meet cutes” ever to be written in a RomCom! Bridget winds up in the E.R. with an embarrassing injury that she got while trying to teach her little boy how to fish. Bridget is a nurse and decides to go to a hospital that she doesn’t work at to save herself from having to suffer through endless amounts of teasing from her co-workers. She never expected that her doctor was going to be ridiculously hot and British!! The level of mortification she goes through is astronomical and Simon doesn’t hesitate to poke a little fun at Bridget while also tending to her wound. While the situation is less than ideal Bridget can’t help but notice how the good doctor also has got her temperature rising. Their encounter lasts all of fifteen minutes but Fate has plans for these two because a few weeks later, Simon ends up being the new tenant of the garage apartment in her house. Not only will they be roomies but it turns out he’s also finishing up his last year of residency at the hospital that Bridget works at.

In no time at all Bridget and Simon settle into an easy friendship while also trying to get a handle on the intense attraction that is building between them. Both Bridget and Simon are convinced that things could never work between them for completely different and somewhat irrational reasons. Simon has never been in a committed relationship and he’s actually never been tempted to pursue one. He seeks out women who are only looking for a good time and he hasn’t gone beyond two dates with the same woman yet. He’s also haunted by a tragedy from his past which he’s plagued with unreasonable guilt over. Plus, Simon’s planning to move back to England once he completes his residency in less than a year.

Bridget lost her husband a couple years back when he died in a car accident. She was left to raise their six-year-old son alone on her meager Nurse’s salary. Her son, Brendan, is her entire world. She’s hesitant to jump back into the dating pool because she doesn’t think any man will want a woman with “baggage”. She’s also not willing to bring someone into Brendan’s life that is not in it for the long haul.

Bridget finds herself getting increasingly attached to Simon and it’s scaring her because she knows that if she were to give in to her feelings that Simon could break her heart more than any other man ever has. Simon is in the same pickle. He’s consumed with his feelings for Bridget and has grown attached to her son as well.

I was dying for these two to finally give in to their desires and let’s just say it was definitely worth the wait!! Wow! I was nearly scorched by the flames that the seduction between Simon and Bridget created. But while they’ve got incredible sexual chemistry those silly little reasons of why things could never work out between them are still hovering in the background. Will they get a clue before it’s too late?

“DEAR BRIDGET, I LOVE YOU” is currently available! This is a MUST READ! I promise you, it is that good! You’ll get sucked in and then in no time at all you’ll have finished it because this is one book that is just that hard to put down!

*****Dee’s Review*****
ALL THE STARS************

Of course, I LOVED this book. Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland are both amazing authors in their right, but together these two are dynamite. Dear Bridget, I Want You has everything you look for in a romance; humor, superb writing, lovable characters, twist and turns, explosive passion and even a bit of angst. TOP TEN FAVORITE OF 2017.

Dr. Simon Hogue is the sexy resident doctor at Boston’s Memorial Hospital. He is twenty-nine, British and totally irresistible. Simon is a kid at heart and his charms work on just about everybody. He’s about to finish his residency and is looking for a short-term rental without a lease because in a couple of months he’s supposed to be going back home, to England. His best friend has found him the perfect place to rent and when he goes to meet his new landlord the last thing he expected was to see the woman with the beautiful smile and sexy derrière he attended in the hospital a few weeks back, again.

Bridget was in a minor accident that landed her in the hospital with her butt exposed and being examined by possibly the most beautiful man she’s ever seen. After the embarrassing event, she has been fantasizing about the sexy doctor, until one day he turns out to be her new tenant.

Simon and Bridget are totally into each other but they are both terrified of relationships, so they decide to simply settle for a friendship. Nobody said it would be easy, living next to the star of all your fantasies and knowing you could never have them.

Bridget is a single mother who lost her husband a couple of years ago and still doesn’t feel ready to date, plus her priority is her son Brendan. And Simon carries some issues from his past which makes him terrified of opening his heart to anyone. But love is an unexpected thing nobody can control, and these two characters will find themselves fighting against the very thing they want the most in this world.

From the moment I started reading, I was laughing and enjoying myself with this book. I knew right away that I wasn’t going to be able to put this book down for anything. Everything about Bridget and Simon’s story was perfect. I highly recommended this book, it is an absolute winner.

REVIEW – WILD FOR YOU (Love With Altitude #3) by Daisy Prescott

SYNOPSIS

Wild for You is a standalone, slow burn cowboy romance.

This city girl doesn’t want to play it safe anymore …

I’ve been dumped. I can’t afford my condo. My job sucks. So when my girls take me to a rodeo and I discover a smoking-hot cowboy packing heat in his Wranglers? Well, I’ve got nothing to lose except my dry spell.

After watching him ride, there’s no way I’m walking away. Only, something tells me Justin might be more than just a rebound. So much for living dangerously.

***

The fastest way to break a cowboy? Force him to settle down …

I have a ranch to run. Rodeos to ride. Scandals that don’t want to stay buried. What I don’t have is time for a city girl like her, even if she does have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen

So why can’t I stay away? Winning Zoe’s love might be the hardest event I’ve ever entered- but she’ll be worth the challenge.

Wild for You is part of the Love with Altitude series of standalone romantic comedies. You do not have to read other books in the series before reading this one.

FOUR STARS ****

If I didn’t have any cowboys fantasies before, I do now. Wild For You is a slow burn romantic story destined to lasso the hearts of all its readers. So giddy-up and follow Justin and Zoe on this beautiful, wild adventure.

Zoe’s life is not going like she wants it to. Her longtime boyfriend just dumped her, and she can’t afford her apartment on her own without him, and she’s stuck in a job, she doesn’t really love. What she does have are awesome girlfriends that are trying to cheer her up after her bad break-up.

Zoe’s friends want to show her the awesome world of the American Rodeo. All dressed up in cowboy-inspired attire they attend the amazing and exciting event; and little did Zoe know that that was going to be the start of an amazing cowboy fantasy come to life.

Justin is a very private person due to a very tumultuous childhood. As an adult, he usually keeps to himself since he’s not a big fan of people. His passion is the rodeo, his only competition in the arena is himself and he’s usually pushing himself to beat his own scores. He’s not interested in making new friends, and forget about romantic relationships, he’s not into any of it. Until he spots a beautiful brunette with a musical laugh; Zoe.

Zoe and Justin and very attracted to each other but they both proceed with caution. The slow burn of their romance is what makes this story truly delectable, and the signature hilarious humor of Daisy Prescott make this book the perfect weekend read. She brings us something to dream about with this new book. DONT MISS IT!!!

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by K. Webster}

If you didn’t know this about me already, I am a HUGE fan of K. Webster. I was really lucky to win an arc of this anthology filled with some incredibly steamy novellas with guaranteed HEA’s! First off I want to give a moment’s praise to the beautiful cover!! WELL DONE! Now, I had only intended to read K. Webster’s story but then I saw the next one was by Jade West and her books have been blowing up my GR feeds for quite a while so I decided to read hers as well. I now understand why she has such a huge following!! I want to preface my reviews by stating these stories are for pure enjoyment. You aren’t going to read any Pulitzer prize winning material here but oh boy will these get your temperatures rising. You’re about to meet some sinfully seductive alphas who seem to have insatiable sexual appetites and excel in the art of dirty talk!!

”MALFEASANCE” by K. Webster

Malfeasance was an off the charts steamy May/December romance. The Hero is about thirty-one years older than the Heroine and yet the age difference was not in the least bit off putting. There was definitely a case of “insta-love” but let’s be honest, it’s the sexy times the couple has throughout this story that made it quite enjoyable.

Max is a fifty-two-year-old Judge, who has been a widower for several years. He’s remained celibate since his wife’s death. Taking care of his teenage daughters had been his main focus and the thought of getting romantically involved with another woman never crossed his mind until the night he ends up at a sex club with one of his buddies and lays eyes on a beautiful blonde waitress. There’s something familiar about her but he can’t place it and then it all clicks into place. He remembers that haunted look in her eyes when he spotted her in the back of his courtroom almost a year ago when he announced the “not guilty” verdict of her sadistic ex-boyfriend. Max knew at the time that this man deserved to be sent behind bars for the rest of his life and that the jury had chosen unwisely but there was nothing he could do. When he happens to come across the young damsel in distress in the back of the club at the hands of the psychotic ex, he quickly jumps into action and rescues her.

Dorian has spent the last year trying to get her life back on track. She’s been unsuccessful at keeping her whereabouts hidden from her ex and is more than relieved when the handsome Judge comes to her rescue. Max ends up taking her to his buddy’s secluded cabin and while they spend the night there, they can feel an intense attraction igniting between them. Max battles with his conscience because of the huge age difference but Dorian is not in the least turned off by his age at all. Dorian thinks Max is one of the sexiest men she’s ever met.

Max ends up bringing Dorian to his place and helps her get a job as his intern. Things between the two heat up even more as they are practically spending every waking moment together. It doesn’t take very long before the two become physically intimate and once they give in to their desires it’s like the floodgates have opened and there isn’t a moment when they aren’t ripping off each other’s clothes and going at it.

The story had very little substance, but I did enjoy it a helluva lot!! There are very few times where I actually enjoy an “insta-love” romance but in this case, because I knew this was going to be a guilty pleasure read, I just allowed myself to appreciate the story for its pure entertainment value.

”FIFTH AVENUE BLUES” by Jade West

This was my first Jade West story. Oh, my!! This woman writes some of the filthiest smut I’ve ever read and damned if I didn’t enjoy it immensely. Kyle Prescott is a famous British actor who has major skills in the bedroom and one of the dirtiest sex talkers EVER!! Emily Foster is the shy and introverted Librarian who used to be classmates with Kyle back in High School. She had a huge crush on Kyle back then and they once shared a kiss at a party but she ran out on him thinking that he was drunk and would regret what happened once he sobered up. Emily had and still has very low self-esteem and couldn’t imagine someone like Kyle would ever have any interest in a girl who looked like her.

Now, years later, Kyle is back in town and he’s actually looking to spend some time with Emily. He has a shot at a big television series and needs her help running lines. Kyle is dyslexic and Emily was the only one who had successfully helped him in the past. When he asks her to help him again, Emily doesn’t hesitate to say yes and they soon wind up back in his hotel room. It only takes a matter of seconds before Kyle is unleashing his dirty talking skills on Emily and awakens a heated desire within her.

The sex is insanely dirty and H-O-T. Once they’ve had a taste of each other it seems neither of them can control their sexual appetites. A plethora of sex is to be had in this sexy, dirty, short story!! Oh, and there is one sugary sweet HEA as well!!

Another guilty pleasure read for this reviewer!!! I know I’ll be picking up another book by this author sometime soon!
