REVIEW – MOST OF ALL YOU by Mia Sheridan

SYNOPSIS

A broken woman . . .

Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior, and carries within her a deep mistrust of men who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.

A man in need of help . . .

Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there’s an undeniable goodness about him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.

Only love can mend a shattered heart . . .

Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world that had stolen everything from them would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

5 My Angel Stars!

-You can find hope in the strangest of places, in the darkest of corners. Clutch it close, my darling. It’s yours and no one else’s. -Lemon Fair, the Queen of Meringue

Eloise Cates is a woman from Vermont that has lived a life full of pain & suffering. She’s grown up feeling unloved and unwanted. Her spirit is broken, & lately, she just feels tired and alone. All she has in this life is herself. She’s on her own & doesn’t need anyone. She’s learned over time she can’t trust men. She keeps up her steely facade, & the walls around her heart so she won’t ever be hurt again.

Gabriel Dalton is a man with a dark past he’s trying to move on from. He considers himself a work in progress, & chooses happiness. He’s at a place in his life where he wants to step out of his comfort zone & put himself out there. He meets a beautiful woman with a haunted look in her eyes. She’s a mystery, but he feels a strong pull towards her. He wants to get to know her & never wavers in his pursuit of her.

Ellie locks eyes with a beautiful, kind looking man named Gabriel, & the connection she feels frightens her. Something about his presence left her feeling shaken & vulnerable. As she gets to know him better he doesn’t seem scared off by her cynical, hard attitude. Her world seemed to always be falling apart, & he was so steady and solid. He soothes her with his gentleness & made her feel off balance with one look.

-His eyes held some sort of innocence I hadn’t seen before. Gentleness I certainly wasn’t used to.

-I was spellbound, caught once again in his gaze. No one has ever looked at me the way Gabriel was right then, not in all my life.

-A sense of sudden belonging washed through me, dancing in my veins. When was the last time I’d felt as if I belonged anywhere?

-I liked her. I liked the way she looked at me.

-She had intrigued me, caught my attention, and hadn’t let go. Something about her… called to me.

Gabriel saw things in Ellie she didn’t see in herself. He helped her to believe in herself & brought a sense of peace and calm to her life. He made her feel safe. He pushed her boundaries & eventually she let her guard down. He made her feel like she was someone truly special. Cherished & cared for like she’d never experienced. He began to breathe joy into the sadness that lived inside of her. Made her want to dream of possibilities, & hope for things she’d long ago given up on. She was taught to have a hard exterior, so nobody could ever hurt her. That you don’t get attached, because everyone eventually leaves, but suddenly she realizes she needs Gabriel as much as her next breath. This handsome, sincere, sweet man with a pure heart spoke to her soul, & helped her discover there was beauty in the missing pieces.

I really loved this book! It’s about two people who had a difficult past that has shaped who they are today. They still both carry around broken pieces, & have their own struggles. The book is also about loving & believing in yourself. Sometimes we need to learn to love ourselves before we can fully love another. This book dealt with some serious subject matter but was beautifully written. This stunning man was breathtaking with his love & his pure heart. I couldn’t get enough of Gabe. Mia Sheridan yet again wrote a book that touched my heart!

-“You’re so beautiful, Eloise. Every part of you.”

-My love for Ellie felt like a breath of life inside of me.

-I wanted to touch every part of him, to know his body the way I’d come to know his heart.

-The longer she’d touched me, the more a yearning rose in my soul, so strong it took my breath.

-Every part of his body held a place that felt as if it had been made just for mine.

-He was everything to me.

-Whatever you do, do it with your whole heart. -Lemon Fair, the Queen of Meringue

-“It’s not the things you do with love and good intentions that you end up regretting. It’s the things you don’t do that you have to live with.”

*****FIVE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

We touched and kissed with loving hands and open hearts, and I’d been right to think I’d never experienced anything like this before. It was tender and generous, and it was everything. Everything I’d never known.

MOST OF ALL YOU is a hauntingly beautiful love story that grabbed a hold of my heart from the start. I have been a long time fan of Mia Sheridan and this book solidifies why she is one truly gifted author. I found it hard not to highlight quotes from almost every page! Her writing is absolutely stunning! Not only is this a captivating love story but it’s filled with so much raw sadness. The Hero and Heroine may have come from different worlds but they share in common unimaginable abuse and devastating loss. Their tragic pasts have molded them into two people who are merely a fraction of the individuals they should have become because they’ve let their fears paralyze and control their lives.

I don’t want to give too much of the story away because I do think this is a story that’s best to go in to completely blind. I will say that I fell in love instantly with Gabriel Dalton. His sweet and gentle demeanor and his ability to find beauty in everyday things that we take for granted really touched me deeply. He is my second favorite Hero created by Mia. I mean he comes so very close to being as awesome as Archer!

In the beginning, I struggled with my feelings for the Heroine. She’s not an easy character to love because of the person she has become but once the author brings you to the heart of her story, I guarantee you will be falling in love with her just as I have. I actually think I ended up loving her a little more than the Hero. I saw a little bit of my younger self in her and hoped that she would find her way back to the person she was always meant to become.

There is definitely incredibly chemistry between Dalton and Ellie but honestly, if there weren’t any steamy scenes, I would still give this book Five Stars because it was the story and the characters that I fell completely in love with. This is one of those books that doesn’t need the schmexy to make it entertaining. Although I did enjoy those bits too!

REVIEW – UNINTENDED (The Sin Trilogy, #5) by Georgia Cates

SYNOPSIS

The Fellowship saga continues with Kieran and Westlyn’s story in this standalone spinoff of The Sin Trilogy.

Captor becomes lover…

I’m a marksman. Mobster. Deadly assassin.
My job is to protect my brotherhood, but that isn’t my only responsibility.

I’m Kieran Hendry, the up-and-coming leader of The Order, and a new duty calls. I must take a wife.

A wife I don’t know.
A wife born into a position at the top of The Fellowship hierarchy.
A wife who will forge a strong alliance between her brotherhood and mine.
A wife I don’t want.

I knew next to nothing about Westlyn Breckenridge when I abducted her, but I quickly discover that she’s intelligent, strong, defiant, selfless. And beautiful.

One night with her is all it takes for me to see that she is no typical Mafia princess. I’m hopeful this arranged marriage won’t be the miserable union I imagined it to be. But convincing my intended to give us a chance won’t be easy when she sees me as the enemy. The brute who kidnapped her. The vile fiend who threatened to do as he wished with her body.

It’s true. I am all those things. I had cruel intentions. But everything has changed. My affection for her is unexpected. My love, unintended.

***Unintended can be read as a standalone novel although it is a novel accompanying The Sin Trilogy. It is best enjoyed after reading The Sin Trilogy and Endurance: A Sin Series Standalone novel.

*****Mel’s Review*****

5 I’m Yours Stars!

Westlyn Breckenridge is a gorgeous 23 yr. old woman who grew up in Edinburgh as part of The Fellowship. It’s the only life she known as the youngest daughter of a prominent family. When she’s suddenly abducted she’s terrified for her life. Then she meets the man who kidnapped her, & becomes defiant and angry.

Kieran Hendry is a 28 yr. old man who is the eldest of four sons. He was born into a position of power & is the future leader of The Order. It’s his duty to ensure the prosperity of his brotherhood & form an alliance with their rival, The Fellowship. After years of bloodshed they want peace. They propose two marriage treaties to bring together The Fellowship & The Order. He doesn’t want a wife, but is committed to fulfilling his obligation.

When Kieran lays eyes on the woman who will be his mate, suddenly his burden isn’t so heavy. She’s breathtaking, & he’s instantly attracted to her and her smart mouth. They make an agreement, but after getting to know her better he decides he wants a real marriage. He made a bad first impression & now wants a chance to show her a better side of himself.

Westlyn feels such intense sexual chemistry with Kieran. He’s intoxicating, & she’s never felt so wanted or desired. She should hate him, but she’s desperate for him. He’s a strong alpha male who takes what he wants, & he’s decided she’s going to be his wife. He wants her to be his future & has quickly become obsessed with her. He’s showing her respect & working hard to earn her affection, but can he win her heart?

-“I’d take you any way you’d give yourself to me.”

-“You’re going to love all the things I make your body feel.”

-I crave Kieran. I want everything he plans to do to me.

-This kiss… I could live a million years and never forget it or the way I feel right now.

-He has a way of touching me that makes me forget every logical thought in my head. It doesn’t make sense to me how I can despise him and at the same time respond so strongly to his touch

-I freely choose to be yours…

I loved this book so much! I’ve read the entire Sin Series, & this was my favorite. It was so damn hot, & I loved how crazy Kieran was for her. He was completely captivated & enchanted with Westlyn from the moment they met. She brought out a vulnerable, tender side of this sexy, tough guy. The captive falls in love with her captor as this arranged marriage becomes very beautiful and real.

REVIEW – RUTHLESS KING (Mount Trilogy, #1) by Meghan March

SYNOPSIS

Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.

New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.

*Ruthless King is book 1 of the Mount Trilogy. Mount and Keira’s story is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2017 with Defiant Queen and Sinful Empire.*

*****Patty’s Review*****

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

I feel his touch like it’s bathed in fire, a scorching trail in its wake.

I’ve read plenty of Meghan March’s books and this has got to be ”Hands Down” the dirtiest and steamiest story she has written! I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a winner with me since we get just the tiniest glimpse of the hero, Lachlan Mount, during the prologue and then he doesn’t return until about the 30% mark in the story. I didn’t think that the heroine’s storyline was enough to keep the book entertaining but then BAM, MOUNT comes charging through the story at full force, demanding attention, and then there wasn’t any doubt that this was going to be one ”OFF THE CHARTS” AMAZING story. If you like a really good enemies-to-lovers romance, well then you need to get your hands on this one. The chemistry between Mount and Keira is INSANELY HOT!!

Keira Kilgore is the owner of Seven Sinners Distillery, New Orlean’s most famous Irish whiskey producers. The family business, which had been successful for the past four generations is now in jeopardy of being bought out by one of New Orleans’ most notorious and feared businessmen, Lachlan Mount. People are known to show up dead once they’ve attempted to cross him. Keira finds out that her late husband owed a huge sum of money to Mount and had the balls to put her family’s business up as collateral. But Mount has an indecent proposal for Keira that will ensure she keeps ownership of seven sinners—she must be his “plaything” for however long she holds his interest. This enrages her and messes with her pride beyond reason. She’s the typical fiery redhead with a bad temper and she will not make it easy for Mount to tame her, but what she doesn’t know is that she is no match for the sinfully sexy Alpha. She turns him on like no other woman has before and Keira will soon learn that Mount will own her body like it was made for him.

The sex is wildly erotic between them and underneath all the heated hostility, there is a hint of a buildup to a deeper connection for Mount and Keira. I loved everything about the dangerous and elusive Lachlan. His need to be dominant in all things is definitely a trait that I most desire in a book boyfriend.

Be prepared for some huge and unexpected twists when you reach the end of this first installment of ”The Mount Trilogy”! I am on pins and needles to see what Meghan March has in store for us next in ”Defiant Queen”!

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 5
Heroine: 3.5
Plot: 4
Angst: 3
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

REVIEW – FROM THIS MOMENT by Melanie Harlow

SYNOPSIS

It was like seeing a ghost.

When my late husband’s twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life we’d planned together, and after eighteen long months struggling just to get out of bed, I’m finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I don’t want to go backward.

But I’m drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and guilt like no one else—and I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.

He says he doesn’t care what people think, and love can never be wrong. But life has taught me its cruelest lesson–love doesn’t always win.

If only my heart would believe it.

*****FIVE LOVE WINS EVERY TIME STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

”I knew the moment I saw you that you were the one. The one I’d always love. The one I’d always dream about. The one I’d always wish was mine.”

Up until I read ”FROM THIS MOMENT”, I had considered Melanie Harlow to be a pretty decent author. I’ve read a few of her books and really enjoyed them but this latest one completely captured my heart. This author has proven she belongs on my coveted favorite authors shelf. This story has a beautiful Hero, a Heroine that you will easily empathize with, and what bonds the two together is their devastating loss. Get ready to have your heart broken over and over. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy for the tears you will be shedding over this captivating love story.

Hannah Parks has been grieving over the unexpected death of her husband for nearly three years. She spends most of her time caring for her adorable six-year-old daughter Abby and working part-time as a cook for the Valentini’s bed & breakfast. Hannah has not been able to move on from the insurmountable feeling of loss that plagues her, and the only other people she spends time with are the women who are in her widow support group. She’s lost touch with old friends and keeps her distance from her In-laws because they’re a painful reminder of her dead husband. She gets the wind knocked out of her when she runs into her husband’s identical twin brother, Wes. Seeing her husband’s mirror image in the flesh is wreaking havoc on her heart. But when Wes asks if he could come visit with her and Abby, she reluctantly agrees, knowing that it isn’t right to keep her daughter from family.

Wes has been lost in his own grief over his brother’s death for the past three years as well. Twins share an indescribably strong bond and it’s been hard for Wes to accept that his partner in crime and best friend is gone. Wes quickly enlisted in Doctors without Borders after he graduated from medical school, which was also soon after his brother and Hannah married. What he’s kept a secret for many years is that there’s only ever been one woman who stole his heart, and that was Hannah. Wes actually met Hannah before his brother Drew did. He would often catch a meal between classes at the diner that Hannah worked at. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he was smitten, but Wes was incredibly shy and lacked confidence with women. His brother, Drew, was the complete opposite of him. Drew was the life of the party, ladies man, and cocky beyond measure. The moment Drew and Hannah met, Wes knew his chances with her were completely shattered. Wes loved his brother and was used to giving up things he loved to make him happy, but this was the one time it hurt more than anything to let his brother win. Unable to stay in town and bear witness to his brother and Hannah living in wedded bliss, Wes leaves the country and yet no matter how many miles apart or years that passed, his love for Hannah never diminished in the slightest.

Slowly Wes breaks through the seemingly impenetrable wall that Hannah had built over the years. Not only is Hannah growing accustomed to his presence, but so is little Abby. When Hannah is finally able to contemplate the possibility of moving on from the past and seeing Wes in a way she never did before, we’re left wondering whether it is because she views him as a substitute for her dead husband or if there are true feelings in her heart for Wes. They fight their attraction at first but when you’re dealing with years of pent-up feelings over someone, eventually the need for physical contact is just too overwhelming not to give in to. Wes and Hannah’s passion will set their world ablaze! Keep those fans close by because the heat is almost too intense to endure.

While Wes and Hannah discover an intense love growing between them, their journey to a happily ever after is not traveled down a smoothly paved road—there are many bumps, roadblocks, and detours they must face. Are they strong enough to weather the somewhat insurmountable obstacles that lay ahead?

I know some people might view Hannah as weak but I only had the deepest empathy for her. I understood why she closed herself off all those years and how taking another chance on love was truly frightening for her.

Wes and Hannah’s story was beautiful to its heartbreaking core. It is my new favorite by Melanie Harlow and one that I will surely read again whenever I get the opportunity to do so!

*****4.5 STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Her bottom lip trembled, fucking eviscerating my heart and draining the blackness from my soul. Light. She had always been the only light that ever got in.

SICK FUX is unlike anything I’ve ever read by the talented Tillie Cole. It’s a twisted and sinister version of the popular children’s fairytale, ”Alice In Wonderland”. The subject matter is dark and the Hero and Heroine are borderline psychotic but I found that it worked for them and the chemistry between them was mesmerizing. What I loved about this couple was that they still held a childlike innocence deep within them and though they each had a powerful bloodlust and left a trail of bodies behind them, believe me, each and every one of their victims deserved their gruesome demise.

Heathen James and Ellis Earnshaw meet when they are just wee children. They are like night and day. Heathen is a quiet and aloof little boy, while Ellis is carefree, vivacious, and full of love and light. From the moment the two meet, they are instantly drawn to each other and become the best of friends. While Heathen seems to have a disturbing fascination with dead things and is averse to being touched, Ellis is obsessed with the fairytale ”Alice in Wonderland” and dresses up like her favorite character every day. She pulls Heathen into her make-believe world filled with tea parties, dancing, and rabbit holes. Heathen and Ellis become “Dolly” and “Rabbit” while being cocooned in their warm and safe fairy tale like existence.

Their beautiful connection turns into the most unimaginable nightmare just a couple of years later when their innocence is forever tainted by the vilest people. Heathen tried to protect his beautiful and innocent Ellis from the ugliness of the world that he was forced to endure at the tender age of twelve. But one night changes their lives forever. Heathen and Ellis are torn apart, both sent to their own personal hells. Heathen ends up in a prison filled with the criminally insane. He will be cellmates with two of the most feared prisoners of all which will turn out to be a blessing. These two men take on the role of big brothers and will help Heathen grow into the powerful man who will come to rescue his sweet Dolly.

Years later when they are in their early twenties, Heathen and Ellis are reunited. He knew what Ellis would have endured all those years that they were apart and so he knew when he found her, she would not be the same sweet and carefree girl who captivated his heart from the moment they met. He was armed with the knowledge and arsenal he would need to pull his Dolly out of the darkness and have her dancing in the light once more. He creates an “Alice in Wonderland” fantasy world and has Dolly escaping through the rabbit hole to emerge from her dark prison created by her frail mind.

Rabbit and Dolly are together once again and feel almost whole, but to heal completely from the atrocities inflicted upon them in the past, certain villains must be dealt with. Each will suffer by the hands of the murderous couple labeled the Sick Fux but in reality, those that they slaughter deserved to own that title.

I found that my heart hurt for Heathen and Ellis. Two innocents who were tormented and forced to endure nightmarish lives. I think that readers will not blame them for their actions or view them as sadistic killers either. While the story is extremely violent and quite steamy, I appreciated that certain delicate subject matter is not described in extreme detail.

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 5
Heroine: 4
Plot: 4
Gore: 5
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

SICK FUX is currently available! Be sure to one-click. Rabbit and Dolly are another unforgettable couple created by the brilliant mind of Tillie Cole.

REVIEW – SWEET TIME (Sugar Rush #4) by Nina Lane

SYNOPSIS

Stuck in a boring insurance job, vivacious Mia Donovan has spent the last few years searching for her life’s true path. She fills her time helping plan the wedding of her best friend to the CEO of the Sugar Rush Candy Company.

Mia has also been trying to attract the impossibly rigid Sugar Rush security chief Gavin Knight. But for well over a year, the unyielding Mr. Knight has ignored her, despite her short skirts, tight sweaters, and patently obvious flirting. And when he finally approaches her, it’s only to assess the wedding plans for potential security risks.

A former soldier, Gavin has intercepted hostile anonymous letters threatening the high-profile wedding. Determined to keep everyone safe, he’s forced to work with the maddeningly sexy Miss Donovan of the thousand-watt charm and irresistible body.

Irked by Gavin’s many months of disregard, Mia takes her teasing flirtations to a whole new level. But her coquettish ways are no match for the edgy, lust-fueled dominant he conceals behind his impassive exterior. And when Gavin exerts his full control, Mia discovers he can protect everything except her heart.

*****FIVE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

”I’ve been falling in love with you for over a year. And the moment you finally kissed me is when I fell in love with my whole heart.”

The Sugar Rush series is going down as one of my top favorites of all time. It just keeps getting better with each installment. Not one book has been anything less than AMAZING!!! Not only have I fallen for each and every Hero, but I also found every Heroine to be so endearing. This is a series filled with amazing characters, off the charts sizzling steam, and romances that we all wish for. SWEET TIME was as fabulous as all its predecessors and even though it’s a novella, Nina Lane was able to give us an absolutely entertaining and satisfying story that very much felt like a full-length novel. Ladies, it’s time to fall in love with the stoic but supreme alpha security specialist, Gavin Knight.

We have met Polly’s bestie, Mia Donovan, and Luke’s friend and head of security, Gavin Knight in Sweet Dreams. From that moment, the chemistry between the bubbly and delightful Mia, and the strong, sexy and off the charts alpha Gavin, was undeniably strong. I knew their story was going to be just as steamy and fun as all of the other books in the series. Nina Lane did not let me down!!!

Mia and Gavin have been on each other’s radar for well over a year now but nothing has ever come of it. Mia has several failed flirtatious attempts with Gavin and she has come to accept that it might just never happen with him, but that doesn’t seem to have killed the incredible crush she has for him. What Mia doesn’t know is that Gavin has been aware of her from the moment he first set his eyes on her. She’s been the star of all of his dirty fantasies over the past year. What he wouldn’t give to just haul her over his shoulder and throw her down on his bed, and do all the dirty things he’s dreamed of with her. But Gavin has put her in the ”hands-off” zone because she is Polly’s best-friend and since Polly is soon becoming a Stone, she will be like family to him.

Gavin is also haunted by his past. He served seven tours in Afghanistan while he was in the Marine Corp., and he suffers from a severe case of PTSD. It’s made it impossible for him to sustain long-term relationships. He even closes himself off from social interactions with his childhood friends, which includes the Stone family.

When Luke and Polly’s upcoming wedding forces Gavin and Mia to work together, since he’s in charge of security during the event and Mia is acting as the wedding planner as a favor to her friend—let’s just say a year’s worth of pent-up attraction and lust will come crashing through. Will Mia’s light and whimsical nature be the healing touch that Gavin so desperately needs? Or will their differences end up being what keeps them apart?

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 5
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5
Angst: 3.5
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

This book had it all—great characters, entertaining plot, suspense, and deliciously naughty steam!! I HIGHLY recommend this one!!

*****Mel’s Review*****
4.5 Stars!

Mia Donovan is a gorgeous, feisty, confident woman from a coastal California town called Indigo Bay. She works a job she hates at an insurance agency, but occasionally also helps out her best friend Polly at her bakery called Wild Child. Mia is the type of woman that goes after what she wants, & what she’s wanted for the past year is a man named Gavin Knight. Gavin is the head of security at her friend Polly’s bakery. He was sexy as hell, & she loved his strength. As much as she relentlessly, shamelessly flirted with him, he seemed completely immune to her charm. She finally begins to give up her pursuit, & that’s when Gavin finally makes his move.

Gavin Knight is serious, brooding, & all about his job and keeping people safe. He noticed the lovely Mia Donovan with her blonde hair, tight sweaters, & little skirts a long time ago. He just wasn’t ever willing to cross that line. Now that they are working together on Luke & Polly’s wedding, they are seeing more of each other. It’s becoming harder for him to pretend he doesn’t desperately want her, & she’s testing his self-control. He hadn’t wanted to admit to himself that he always looked forward to seeing her. She’s had his attention all along. He’d grown rather fond of her but didn’t act on anything because he didn’t want complications. He didn’t feel he was relationship material.

Gavin & Mia are so different. He’s all serious & about strict control, and she’s all fun, flirty, and easy going, but when these two opposites connect it’s magical. Mia can’t believe she’s finally with the delicious man that’s starred in all her fantasies. She thought he barely knew she existed. For so long she wished something would happen between them, & now she’s in pure bliss at the thought of him touching her again.

As Gavin & Mia become more involved, Gavin worries he can’t be everything Mia deserves. He has troubles from his past he still deals with, & struggles with his feelings for Mia. She’s suddenly become everything good in his life, & he can see their future together.

I adored Gavin Knight & love this series so much! Each book is just as fabulous as the last. Can’t get enough of this series & look forward to more of the Stone brothers & Papa Stone too! ;))

-As much as she’d been after him, she hadn’t known, not really, if she could handle the dominance and rigidity that were such an intrinsic part of him.

-“Come on, my little flirt,” he whispered roughly. “You think I haven’t noticed you all these months?

-After all those months of trying to get his attention, she now had his attention right to the center of her soul.

-Gavin Knight was a man who knew how to take what he wanted. And take her he did.

-She couldn’t believe this was happening, that after all this time, Gavin Knight was holding her and touching her like this.

-Everything inside her came alive.

REVIEW – DIRTY LITTLE PROMISE (Forbidden Desires #2) by Kendall Ryan

SYNOPSIS

The secret I’d discovered about sexy billionaire Gavin Kingsley was so big, so haunting wasn’t something I could overcome. I had a decision to make—hear him out and see where things went, or turn to his brother Cooper, who I was fairly certain was in love with me. But something dark inside of Gavin called to something dark inside of me. And I wasn’t willing to just walk away—not yet anyway.

This is the conclusion to Emma Bell’s epic love affair with the alpha and enigmatic Kingsley brothers. Secrets will be exposed, sides will be chosen, and nothing will ever be the same.

*****FOUR STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

My heart was so full, so full of her, of her love, I felt like anything was possible. She made me strong and brave and whole. And I knew with certainty I’d love her until my dying breath.

In the conclusion to the first story in the Forbidden Desires series, questions are answered and it seems there is no end to a number of enemies that are out to destroy the Kingsley empire. Some of the drama manages to impact Emma as well. When Dirty Little Secret ended, Emma was stunned when she learned some of what transpired between Gavin and his deceased ex-girlfriend Ashley. The biggest shocker was when Emma found a picture of Ashley through a google search. Her resemblance to Gavin’s ex was undeniably disturbing.

Reeling from her discovery, Emma avoids Gavin for almost a week until he can no longer stand the silence and is able to convince her to go on a business trip with him to Florida. She agrees to go because he promises to answer all of her questions about Ashley. Their relationship is strained by the demons of Gavin’s past. While he is able to clear up many of her concerns, Emma is still cautious as she has not had much luck in the relationship department. Her last boyfriend was verbally and physically abusive and with Gavin’s dominant personality and his need for rough sex, Emma is questioning whether she is about to fall in the same relationship trap.

Emma can’t deny that the chemistry between her and Gavin is like nothing she has ever felt before but there’s also Cooper Kingsley to think about. Gavin’s younger brother has become to mean a lot to Emma and he’s made no secret about his feelings for her. So Emma is torn between two equally handsome and charming Kingsley men.

She will have to make a choice between the two brothers and when that happens will the Kingsley brothers’ relationship be strong enough to survive?

REVIEW – BAD REPUTATION (Bad Boys of Sports, #1) by Nicole Edwards

SYNOPSIS

Meet the most wanted players in sports . . . one ridiculously hot alpha male at a time.

Chase: With a nickname like “Sin,” it’s no wonder they call me the bad boy of hockey. Opponents curse me. Fans scream my name—in the arena and in other, much more private places. Penalties or not, I’m not afraid to dish out a little pain. But pleasure? That’s my weakness. And no one knows it better than my best friend, Cassie Desrosiers. I’d have to be blind not to notice her rocking body and teasing grin. So when she invites me along on a trip to Vegas, my curiosity isn’t the only thing that’s aroused.

Cassie: Chase Barrett is a world-class A-hole. As his best friend, I’m allowed to call him on his BS. Who else is going to do it? Certainly not the puck bunnies swooning at every flex of his biceps. Everyone knows that Chase is the love-’em-and-leave-’em type. There’s no such thing as commitment for the king of casual hookups. So why should I care? Maybe because all work and no play makes me a sexually frustrated girl. It’s time to put the hockey stud at my beck and call to good use . . . but after a week in Vegas with Chase, I might never want to go back to the real world.

This sexy standalone novel includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

*****Mel’s Review*****

4 Stars!

Cassie Desrosiers is a 28 yr. old woman from Wisconsin who is the Vice President of app development at a company working with software. She now lives in Houston, Texas where her best friend Chase Barrett lives. Cassie met Chase at the University of Wisconsin, & they have been inseparable for the last nine years. Chase is a professional hockey player for the Texas Tornadoes & has a reputation as the bad boy of hockey in the NHL. He’s popular in the media, & fans call him Sin. Cassie & Chase have always secretly been attracted to one another, but never acted on it. Cassie thinks Chase could never handle a relationship with his manwhore ways, but she also cares too much about him to ever screw things up. He’s like family to her, and she can’t imagine him not in her life. She doesn’t ever want to mix friendship with pleasure, & is more focused on her career, but she still could use some male attention.

When Cassie invites Chase to go to Vegas with her for a work conference, things get complicated. The sexual tension is high & one kiss suddenly changes everything. Chase values their friendship. He’s always wanted Cassie but never acted on it because he didn’t want to lose the best thing in his life. She knows him better than anyone else, & is the only woman to ever make him feel this way. Now that he’s had a taste, he craves her. He’s scared to try for something more, but he’s wanted her for so long he doesn’t feel like he’ll ever get enough of her. As friends turn to lovers they are insatiable. There’s no stopping the inevitable, but falling in love with your best friend is complicated.

I really enjoyed this sexy friends to lovers romance! Chase was absolutely delicious & I always love a bad boy who falls hopelessly in love.

-He’s my best friend. He knows me better than I know myself.

-No other woman on the planet has managed to break me. But Cassie… Cassie has the ability to destroy me and I didn’t even realize it… Until right this minute.

-“I’ve spent years comparing every woman I meet to you and no one has ever come close.”

-Everything about this woman feels right. Every. Single. Thing.

*****Dee’s Review*****

FIVE FABULOUS STARS ******

Hilarious and super romantic story from start to finish. I couldn’t have possibly loved it more. Once you open this book you’ll fall completely in love with the sexy playboy, and the crazy, funny yoga instructor.

We met Kaleigh and Noah in the first book of this series, Tempt The Boss, as the sister and the best friend of Lauren and Austin. Now we get to follow along with their hilarious love story. From the moment Noah met Kaleigh he was completely smitten. Not only is Kaleigh sexy, funny and easy going but she is pretty much the female version of him. After a night of very hot sex Noah is ready for more but Kaleigh blows him off. She is not a believer of love, she likes to have sex and have fun, and zero commitments. Noah doesn’t do commitments either, being a lawyer has shown him the ugly side of love, and he wants none of that; that is until he met his match.

After a whole bunch of crazy adventures, Kaleigh and Noah can’t help but fall into a beautiful relationship. And just when things are getting interesting somehow their story gets even juicier. You will laugh, swoon and laugh some more as you read Tempt The Playboy. I’m calling this book the perfect romantic comedy.

Don’t waste any more time and one click, I promise you will have a great time while reading.

REVIEW – UNLOVED by Katy Regnery

SYNOPSIS

My name is Cassidy Porter…

My father, Paul Isaac Porter, was executed twenty years ago for the brutal murder of twelve innocent girls.

Though I was only eight-years-old at the time, I am aware – every day of my life – that I am his child, his only son.

To protect the world from the poison in my veins, I live a quiet life, off the grid, away from humanity.

I promised myself, and my mother, not to infect innocent lives with the darkness that swirls within me, waiting to make itself known.

It’s a promise I would have kept…if Brynn Cadogan hadn’t stumbled into my life.

Now I exist between heaven and hell: falling for a woman who wants to love me, while all along reminding myself that I must remain…

Unloved.

**NOTE: This book is intended for readers 18+**

*****FIVE+++++ STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

I’m just…in awe, and that’s how awe sounds. I don’t know how to feel this much love for someone. It hurts to love her this much. And yet I wouldn’t trade this moment even to cleanse my blood of my father’s poison.

UNLOVED is the story of one EPIC romance between two would be ”star-crossed lovers”. I was captivated from the very first page and was so completely consumed by this beautiful story that I devoured it in less than a day! Katy Regnery’s writing is simply EXQUISITE. I found myself mesmerized by her written words, so much that I practically highlighted about 90% of this book! I think this may just be my most favorite Katy Regnery book! BRAVO!!!

Brynn Cadogan and Cassidy Porter come from different worlds but they are in some ways the same, and it’s as if the fates were determined to bring these two lost souls together. Brynn has suffered a devastating loss and for the past two years, her overwhelming grief has caused her to close herself off from the world. Something she finds from her painful past has given her a new sense of purpose. Brynn is finally ready to move on from her grieving, but she must do it across the country in Maine, in one of the most dangerous mountainous terrains called Katahdin. While on her journey to lay her past to rest, Brynn’s life is threatened by a psychotic hiker but luckily for her, a “guardian angel” was nearby and he saved her from certain death.

Cassidy Porter has lived in his grandfather’s remote cabin in Katahdin almost his entire life. His “tainted” bloodline has kept him closed off from the outside world partly due to prejudice and also for fear of the evil that lives in his genetic makeup. When he hears Brynn’s cry for help he doesn’t hesitate to come to her rescue and with an enormous amount of trepidation he decides to take her back to his cabin to nurse her back to health. He’s been alone for nearly a decade after both his mother and grandfather passed, and he’s never been in the presence of a woman. Cass is mesmerized by Brynn, but he knows that he can never live a normal life with her and that she’s better off without him.

As he nurses Brynn back to health their feelings for each other intensify and a love like they’ve never imagined blossoms between them. Cass won’t allow Brynn to tie herself to him. He’s adamant that once she is fully recovered in a few weeks that she must go back home. Out of desperation, Brynn proposes that they enjoy the limited time they have together with no “strings attached” and no expectations. But once they give in to the passion burning between them, will it be that easy to say goodbye at the end of their three weeks together?

Cass is one of Katy Regnery’s most charismatic and endearing Hero’s by far. Readers are sure to fall deeply in love with him and this story! I can’t say enough just how AMAZING this book is!!

Here are my overall ratings on the book:

Hero: 5++++++
Heroine: 5
Plot: 5++++++
Angst: 4

Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5+++++
