Maybe his heart is too bruised and battered to go another round, which is why I’m here. Safe. Available for only a short period of time. I’m not a risk to his heart, and he’s not a risk to mine.

 

 

 

I’m so in love with this series! I don’t think I can pick which Mills brother I love more. They are each so incredibly charismatic. This book was perfect from beginning to end. The meet cute between Griffin and Cosy is highly unusual and unexpected, but their romance gave my heart all the feels and butterflies! I love when the main characters seem complete opposites but end up being two halves of a whole! They were perfect for each other and Griffin’s sweetness and determination to make Cosy his, had my heart melting. Now, this is what I consider exceptional writing. I was completely engrossed in this story. It never once lost my interest and I honestly didn’t want it to end. A true FIVE STAR read!!

Everything about Ford Donovan screams sexy and fun. Valentina and Ford have perfect chemistry but Val is so fixated on how others will view her that she keeps things platonic between them for entirely too long. When her heart gets tangled up in all things Ford, will he be ready to receive it? Or has she finally succeeded in pushing him away?

 

 

 

 

I love a good romance between an older woman and a younger man. Especially when it’s the hot and cocky as hell younger man that does all the pursuing. If anyone can pull off this trope flawlessly, it’s Vi Keeland. She’s one of those authors whose books I never hesitate to request to review. ”ALL GROWN U”” is the perfect read to keep your nights summer nights sizzling hot!!

EXCERPT

 

We’re a couple of minutes away from my apartment, which also means we’re almost at the end of our date. End-of-date protocol often means a goodnight kiss.

And I’ve eaten onions. Lots of them. What the hell was I thinking? I feel around in my shorts pocket, hoping I have a random stick of gum. I find a tiny square packet and pull it out, along with an old tissue. I shove that back in my pocket and sigh with relief as I carefully open the Listerine Pocketpak. There’s one strip left. I pop it in my mouth, wishing I had water since my mouth is dry and I’m suddenly super nervous.

Griffin pulls up in front of my apartment building. I swallow a bunch of times, trying to get the strip to dissolve on my tongue and glance out the tinted window, seeing it from his perspective. I don’t live in a bad part of town, but I sure as hell wouldn’t leave this car sitting out here for any length of time unless I wanted it keyed or stripped down.

Griffin shifts into park and turns to me, one hand resting on the back of my seat near the headrest. “I had a great time, Cosy.”

“Me too, thanks for dinner.” I tried to fork over my share, but he was quick on the credit card draw.

“It was my pleasure.” He leans in the tiniest bit, a nonverbal cue that he’s going in for a kiss.

I mirror the movement, giving him the go ahead. My stomach flutters in anticipation. I exhale slowly through my nose. Even though the Listerine strip should be doing its job to mask the onions, I don’t want to ruin the moment by breathing that in his face.

His fingertips skim my jaw, and I close my eyes. And then his lips brush my cheek. I wait for them to move a couple of inches to the right, but after what feels like a lot of seconds—and is probably only a few—I crack a lid.

Griffin is still close, a wry smile on his lips and a smolder in his eyes.

“Seriously, that’s it? A kiss on the cheek?”

His smile widens, making his eyes crinkle at the corners. He’s nothing like the guys I usually end up on dates with. College boys don’t take things slow. If I were out with one of the guys from school, I’d be sitting in a beat-up Civic with some stupid music playing, and he’d be all over me with his tongue halfway down my throat, copping a feel.

“I thought all the onions you ate were the equivalent to garlic for vampires.” Griffin fingers my hair near my shoulder. I’d really like him to finger something else. Wait. I mean I’d like to feel his hands on me. Not in my pants. Okay, maybe I’d like them in my pants, but not after date number one.

“I wasn’t thinking, and I really like onions. A lot. In hindsight, it’s not a great date food. I feel kinda dumb. And I guess at first I wasn’t so sure about you. How was I supposed to know you’d actually be kind of normalish?”

“Normalish?”

“Well, you drink club soda on purpose, so you can’t be all there.” I tap his temple.

Griffin circles my wrist with his fingers and drops his head, lips brushing over my knuckle. “We can’t all be perfect, now, can we?”

“I suppose not, and perfect is boring.”

“That it is.” He hums against my skin, and I feel it through my entire body. “I would like to try that kiss again, if you’re still interested.”

Regan is too good for a man like me. In a way, I feel like I’ve just tainted her. She’s nowhere near ready for someone like me.
And I really don’t think I’m ready for someone like her.

 

 

We’re now four books into the ”Arizona Vengeance” series and it’s getting even better with each installment. Not only does the book have an amazing cover, but it also has a couple of my favorite tropes– ”friends-to-lovers” & “romance with the older brother’s best friend”. With all that going for it, there wasn’t a doubt that ”DAX” was going to be a fun and steamy read!

Dax Monahan’s best friend, Lance Miles, was recently killed during a mugging. Lance leaves behind his younger sister Regan. Their parents died when Regan was fourteen and Lance had been her sole guardian since. After the funeral Dax learns that Regan has a serious illness and no longer has any medical insurance to cover the exorbitant amount it costs to pay for her medication. Without even blinking an eye Dax convinces Regan to marry him so that she would have his medical benefits to pay for her treatment.

Dax moves Regan from California into his home back in Arizona and it’s not long before things turn physical between them. Even though their chemistry is hotter than anything Dax has ever experienced before, he still struggles with feelings of guilt and doesn’t think that he’s good enough for Regan. The two agree to go back to the way things were, but soon realize that there’s no turning back. Will their marriage of convenience turn into the real thing?

Her outstretched arms are an invitation that I gladly walk into. I hug her. The hug lasts minutes. It’s more than an embrace—it’s apologies for the past and promises for the future. It’s solace, and safety, and reassurance, and friendship, and want, and need, and acceptance, and forgiveness. It’s contentment. It’s love.

I’m completely blown away by this incredibly poignant and exquisitely written story. ”THE OTHER SIDE” deals with very heavy subject matter—depression and suicide. At first, I wasn’t sure where Kim Holden was going with the plot. Some things confused me, but all I can say is as the story unfolds EVERYTHING became clear. I was left feeling completely in awe of this author’s gift of storytelling. I’m head over heels in love with this book and it’s definitely one of my top favorites by this author. Toby Page is a character I will keep close to my heart and he’s earned a spot high up on my list of favorite book boyfriends.

Toby is haunted by the loss of a loved one and he carries deep guilt within him over it. He keeps all of his despair inside and avoids engaging in conversations with kids at school and with other tenants in the house he lives in with. He’s got a plan and it doesn’t include making lasting relationships with anyone. He hears the ugliness spoken to him by his mother, on repeat, inside his head. It drives him to his one and only goal, but then a new tenant moves in who makes him dream of possibilities, if only for a brief moment.

There’s so much beauty in this story. I had a hard time not highlighting almost every page! Just when I thought I figured things out, the author goes and throws a curveball, which convinced me that Kim Holden is one truly talented writer.

I’ve left so much of the plot out of my review because you need to go into this one as blind as possible. My hope is that everyone will love this story as much as I do!
