He’d never expected to find someone like her anywhere, much less during his exile in Bliss Cove. God knew he hadn’t imagined that smart girl Callie from high school would come back into his life with the power of an earthquake and shake up his very foundation, in the best possible way.
”AND I LOVE HER” brings us back to the beautiful Northern California coastal town of Bliss Cove. This is the eldest Prescott sister’s turn at romance and it’s with her old high school crush turned multi-million dollar Hollywood action star, Jake Ryan. This was an opposites-attract romance with a light dose of steam and angst. Callie is a Greek mythology professor at the local university, whose entire life revolves around her career and her family. She can be overbearing and a bit smothering when it comes to her mother and two sisters, but her heart is in the right place. Callie doesn’t have time for a personal life but deep down she’s dreamed of finding her one true love and having the relationship that her parents had.
Jake is in Bliss Cove on a hiatus from his fast-paced Hollywood life. Love is the last thing he expected to find in his old hometown, but the more he gets to know Callie, he finds himself falling fast. She makes him see that there’s more to life than just being an Oscar award-winning actor, and Jake is having just as much of an impact on Callie. He brings color and excitement into her world. Callie realizes that she hasn’t truly lived until Jake came along and encouraged her to step outside of her comfort zone. They’re perfect for each other. But there are huge obstacles and a little secret that have the potential to tear the couple apart.
